    Great read!!  This guy knows football and all the intangibles that make complete players.  I don't read about other GMs or their interviews, but I doubt there are more than a handful that know as much about the game as Ballard.  Lots of GMs are so involved in the business and money part of it and that's the teams that don't draft well and are forced to spend money on free agents to cover up bad drafts.

     

    What Ballard has done since he arrived is just amazing.

I was in charge of getting 5 cases of whiskey for them from the liquor store. Paid me $100. bucks and let me stay. Charlie and his whole crew were great guys and acted like they knew me for years.

    I got to shake Bobby Kennedy's hand when he was in Indy outside his headquarters. Sadly that was only two weeks before he was shot.

     

     

    I've met Charlie Daniels several times and he is the real deal...genuine, kind man.

    Player most likely to be cut

    Let's cut Hilton so we can keep both Cain and Rogers!  End of debate...LOL.

     

    I know whoever gets cut, it will be a tough decision.  However, now that we have upgraded the entire roster from 2-3 years ago, this is what will be happening each year.  Good players will get cut and picked up by other teams.

     

    Ballard said that was an indicator that you're doing things right.  When you cut someone and they get claimed by another team right away, you know they're a good player.

    You grade the Colts 2019 NFL Draft

    I'll give it a "B" right now...I can't agree with Mel Kiper...LOL.  Hard to grade a draft this early, but I love that we can now draft for depth more so than for need(s).  Ballard has my respect 100% and I know this coaching staff can develop these athletes.  Also love the drafting of high character players...makes a big difference in the locker room.
