  1. I could see this all along... Same thing again... I really think Leonard will not return any time soon. They should already be looking how to proceed without him.
  2. Colts sign undrafted safety Michael Tutsie https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/06/15/colts-sign-undrafted-safety-michael-tutsie/ 338 tackles. Wow!
  3. Yep, you called it. Here it is... https://1075thefan.com/92431/colts-ota-notebook-week-2-gardner-minshew-takes-all-starting-reps/ For those curious on the undrafted free agent crowd, Maine product Zavier Scott is showing off his versatility during these practices. Scott (6-1, 219) has been working with both the running backs and receivers this spring, which is something he did do at Maine. For the Colts, it’s not typical to see guys offensive guys getting reps at those two spots.
  4. I see the article quotes Steichen saying Pittman's is minor... Do you know for sure that the injuries to Downs, Mallory and Rush are minor?
  5. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/06/02/michael-pittman-jr-dealing-with-a-hip-injury/ Not even mentioning Leonard still being out... Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr.’s offseason work has been interrupted by an injury. Head coach Shane Steichen told reporters on Friday that Pittman is dealing with a hip injury. Steichen indicated the issue is a minor one and the team will likely make sure it has totally healed before Pittman returns to the field... ...Steichen also said that three rookies are dealing with injuries. Third-round wide receiver Josh Downs hurt his knee, fifth-round tight end Will Mallory has a foot injury, and fifth-round cornerback Darius Rush has hamstring trouble.
  6. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/06/01/colts-sign-genard-avery-waive-darius-hagans/ ...Avery spent last season with the Buccaneers, appearing in nine games. He finished with a sack, one tackle for loss, and five QB hits in 72 defensive snaps and 164 special teams snaps. Avery was a fifth-round pick by the Browns in 2018. He recorded 4.5 sacks as a rookie but fell out of favor under Cleveland’s next coaching staff and was traded to the Eagles midway through the 2019 season. He played with Philadelphia through 2021, recording 3.0 sacks in 35 games with the Eagles. While he signed with the Steelers as a free agent in March 2022, he was released in August. As a corresponding roster move, the Colts waived running back Darius Hagans...
  7. Playoffs? Maybe. But can we block?
  8. I thought Nelson looked fatter than he did in seasons past. My belief is he was not in top shape. After the season was over, I remember him saying in an interview, that he would make sure he improves for the following year.
  9. No way is Hopkins worth the money. The Colts already have too many players that we are desperately hoping will return to their previous form.
  10. The Pro Bowl has always been political, and year after year, the same players, deserving or not, seem to always get selected.... But, if Franklin stays healthy, and plays in almost every game, I believe he could lead the league in tackles, which would bode well for him making the team. Although perhaps, as an alternate.
  11. If that's the case, and the reason they kept Kelly is because nobody wanted him... In 2023, he should not be entrenched as the starter, based on his contract or reputation. With this new head coach, If a player is not performing up to standards, I hope Steichen will not be afraid to bench the guy.
  12. It seems the Colts brass are simply counting on the same players (from last year) to vastly improve in 2023
  13. Evan Hull Can No Longer Be Ignored After Senior Bowl https://thedraftnetwork.com/evan-hull-nfl-draft-senior-bowl/ ...At Senior Bowl practices all week, the Northwestern product showed off his dual-threat abilities against some of the best defenders in his draft class. Hull spent all week stringing together explosive runs in team drills along with some strong reps in one-on-ones against linebackers in both pass-catching and pass-protection drills. When game time rolled around on Saturday, Hull led all players in the exhibition with 74 rushing yards on just 10 carries—including a 24-yard run on the first play of the game—and added two catches for 11 yards. For teams looking to take a running back that can contribute as an explosive runner with good field vision and a strong pass-catcher with good hands and route-running ability, Evan Hull could be their guy. Taking into account his solid work in pass protection and special teams contributions in Mobile as well, the Northwestern product did a nice job raising his draft stock at this year’s Senior Bowl. .
  14. 10 underrated sleepers who won't be picked early but will turn into quality players https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/2023-nfl-draft-10-underrated-sleepers-who-wont-be-picked-early-but-will-turn-into-quality-players/ Here are some potential Day 2 and Day 3 selections who could be steals for an NFL franchise Will Mallory, TE, Miami Miami's passing offense regressed significantly in 2022, but Mallory's production actually increased with a career-best 42 catches for 538 yards. He's a reliable pass-catcher with good size and athleticism. Mallory is yet another example of a player who will turn 24 during his rookie season, and perhaps that makes him less attractive than the younger prospects ahead of him at the position. But he's on the higher end of the spectrum at tight end in terms of 40-yard dash time and is just as athletic and sure-handed as most of the others at his position. On the heels of a great year for an otherwise struggling Miami offense, Mallory looks like the ultimate late-round sleeper.
  15. It would be foolish to take Leonard returning to form for granted
  16. Nfldraftbuzz.com (which is a site I really like) also said there is a good chance Adebawore will hear his name called on day one
  17. Campbell is a very good ILB but may be best as a pass rusher
