  1. I was not happy with the decision to sit the starters, but In hindsight... If Steichen does play them at Philadelphia? With the short week, I suppose it made sense to rest them.
  2. Not impressed with the little I have seen from Kenyan Drake Khalid Kareem is always around the ball
  3. The coach and gm of our 4-12 team have been saying, over and over, how Richardson is coming along, but he needs as many reps as possible... So the plan should be... to sit him out, along with the starters, through the preseason, because that's the status quo?
  4. https://www.bigblueview.com/2022/5/22/23125886/ny-giants-90-man-roster-profile-henry-black Henry Black has appealing defensive, special teams versatility ...Undrafted after playing collegiately at Baylor, Black played 25 games with no starts over the past two seasons for the Green Bay Packers. During that time, he played 289 defensive snaps and 427 special teams snaps. He played 73 percent of the Packers’ special teams snaps last season... Black’s ability to play on five special teams groups — kick coverage, kick return, punt coverage, punt return, field goal/extra point block — is appealing. So, too, is the fact that he can play a number of positions in the secondary. Black played 86 snaps in the box, 97 in the slot, 91 at free safety and 7 at boundary cornerback last season.
  5. I'm watching the 2nd half of the Bills game again... #36 Henry Black is making tackles on returns. Looks like he's a good gunner.
  6. Right from the start, It was Fries who got beat on the play AR threw the interception. The rusher ran right passed Fries into Richardson's face, forcing him to throw without his feet being set (or else take the sack) Watching the remaining plays (both running and passing) in slow motion, on NFL plus replay, I did not see much else from WF in the positive, Although, I do not pay much attention to those PFF computer rankings, I read where Fries had some abysmal rating for that game and Hambright had an outstanding rank. I know I saw Hambright hold the LT position down throughout the game, (be it against the 2nd string or whoever). He also was in for a large amount of snaps count, so obviously they are trying to take a long look at Arlington. I am pulling for Will Fries, but based on my watching last year and this, I am not overly confident. As I would expect most here are not as well. If the line stinks again, which they very well may, and Fries is not performing up to par, should another player look better, I would have to think the new staff would not feel obligated in any way to keeping Fries in the lineup. Lets face it, they probably would not dare bench Nelson, Kelly, Smith or Raimon
  7. But Fries struggled in the Buffalo game and Hambright excelled. Should Fries continue to falter, I would think this new staff would be quick to pull the trigger. I look forward to watching these backup guards and tackles in the next few games. Stichen has stressed how the preseason is an open competition
  8. Right. It's hard to predict who will replace Dulin at gunner? My guess is it will not be one of our remaining WRs
  9. Maybe Hambright will end up winning the starting RG position? The opportunity might be open for him now? who knows?
  10. I don't agree with this, I remember many times, when one team sits starters and another plays theirs. You do what's in your own teams best interest, not be dictated by what the other team does.
  11. Moss has been hurt. Segun Olubi, Liam Anderson. Leonard was out yesterday and I think Harrison?
  12. Perhaps Rogers can replace Dulin? Amari Rodgers Draft and Combine Profile https://www.nfl.com/prospects/amari-rodgers/3200524f-4434-2823-8e97-2d93985ad418 The son of former Tennessee and NFL quarterback Tee Martin nearly signed with USC, where Martin was coaching at that time. He decided to move from Knoxville to Clemson... ...Rodgers became Trevor Lawrence's top target in 2020, leading the Tigers with 77 receptions and 1,020 receiving yards (13.3 per) while tying for the team lead with seven touchdown catches. The first-team All-ACC selection also scored once as a rusher (2-50-25.0) and returned punts (nine returns, 64 yards, 7.1 average). He accepted an invitation to the Senior Bowl. -- by Chad Reuter By Lance Zierlein NFL Comparison Christian Kirk Overview Compact slot target who thrived at Clemson with his ability to create chunk plays out of short catch-and-runs and take the top off defenses with his speed. Rodgers has a running back's stout lower body, providing power and balance to break tackles and rumble through contact with the ball in his hands. His ball skills are pretty good, but he can go from magnificent catch to focus drop in a single drive. Rodgers uses speed alterations inside the route and a sudden burst to top speed to create deep separation from coverage. He's not as effective at separating underneath against tight man coverage and will need to prove himself in that regard. Sources Tell Us "I love his value because you can play him like San Francisco uses Deebo Samuel, but he has the strength and speed to line up outside, too." -- Area scout for NFC team
  13. Since Flowers is being counted on as fist string... maybe they should keep him away from returns as well
  14. Yeah, I have to think McKenzie makes the team. He may also end up our return man
  15. I read where he was replaced by Arlington Hambright with the #1s... Hambright is listed as a G, although he played really well at LT against Buffalo last week. a name to watch for.
  16. ...Yeah, only if our existing TE group ever gets healed up from injuries
  17. The way I had it figured... Pittman, Pierce, Downs, McKenzie and Dulin were locks to make the team. Leaving only one spot left (assuming the Colts carry 6 wrs?) Fighting for that last spot would be: Strachen, Rogers, Perriman, Smith, Turner etc... Now there will be 2 available spots. However, I believe there have been times when the Colts have gone with only 5 WRs in the past? Also, I wouldn't rule out another player be picked up after cuts.
  18. I am not in agreement with you. Dulin is a very good player. Strong, fast and a real good blocker. Top ST player as well. Although we seem to have a bit of depth, he will be missed. I suppose it does give some of the other receivers an opportunity that they might not have had otherwise.
  19. Wow! Just what we all want to hear. With only a little over 3 weeks before our first game... It appears the Colts OL is an absolute disaster
  20. After listening to the short video... I didn't get that Ballard sounds ready to do something with the contract? To me it sounds like he is just saying, Taylor is nearly finished with his rehab, and once he is healthy, he will be back to practice. I take it as if Ballard expects Taylor to play under his existing contract. Perhaps you are right? and they will do a deal? But who knows?
