He transferred from Ohio State, I believe. How did they let him go?
The Buckeyes had a better QB in Haskins..

I swear, it feels like Buckeye alumni paid off someone to avoid LSU or Clemson in the 2-3 bracket because they match up better against inferior passing teams.
I don’t believe the Buckeyes are #1 this year. They got elevated to #1 after a 28-17 unconvincing win vs Penn State, LSU had been #1 till then.
OSU has more wins against top-25 opponents and a much larger margin of victory too.. LSU gave up over 30 points and 600 yards to an Ole Miss team who can't throw a football and 38 points to a 3 win Vanderbilt team. Ohio State is the more complete/dominant team...

First off..... IT aint going to happen
But ..... Imagine this defense with a terror off the edge.......
Chase Young plays both pass and run better than any defensive end I have ever seen out of college
I have been wrong before (and I WILL be again... Im sure)
We have a lot of draft picks and fewer "holes" to fill
But again..... I highly doubt that a trigger would be pulled like this
I can see CB trading out again, and picking up earlier, later picks
It was a shame with the suspension as I really think he could have challenged Suggs sack record of 24. His strength and quickness/first step, for being 265lbs, is incredible. The kid will be the difference maker down the stretch for the Buckeyes.Side note, as much as I like Hines, I think Dobbins would be the perfect fit for that role. Bigger and can handle 15-20 carries a game if anything were to happen to Mack. I'd like to see the Colts find a way to snag him with one of their day 2 picks because I doubt he lasts much longer than that.

Wow I heard he was injured didn't know it was potentially career threatening. I wonder if he had draft insurance?
I didn't think that was possible until he declared. He still has college eligibility left, so I doubt the NCAA would allow that.

Rock's out the rest of the game.

He came up a bit gimpy about halfway through the first half after a play. thought he was hur then. Maybe he just re-injured something or tweaked it?

The whole purpose of a defense is to not allow points so how would that be a reward for them??? Duh.
I think you completely missed what he was trying to say..

Brisket is like Houdini.
He wouldn't have to be if he would throw the damn ball

That's just not in the game plan it would seem.
Or someone just doesn't have the juevos to throw it down there

I think you're right, Wayne did give us a discount IIRC.
I believe he got 3/36 which was actually pretty respectable back then.

And for the love of god can we take a shot or 2 down field..

Oh yeah for sure, and with cap situation at the time there was no way we could keep him. Just would have liked to see it. Wishes, dreams and all that.
I believe they re-upped Reggie that year as well and Garcon made it known he wasn't taking a hometown discount

Tyquan Lewis is still on his rookie contract for a couple more years and he will be here until that contact expires.
He's so far down the depth chart, and they could find better.

He was really ineffective last year at DE I think PFF gave him one of the worst DE grades in the league. I think they recognized this...and didn't want to put him there again. But then injuries kept piling up.
I thought he might provide some value as a pass-rushing DL on 3rd down....but even if healthy...I think he's buried on the depth chart.
He was playing the right side, which he wasn't going to be productive at anyways, because he's not a rush-type end. He wasn't at OSU and of course against NFL LT's he's not going to produce. He's a strong side DE, which Sheard was already starting at anyways.
23 minutes ago, shastamasta said:you can tell they want him as an interior DL player.
Again, why would they play him at a position he didn't play in college?

There was a interview with Lewis a couple of weeks ago in the IndyStar. He sounded really frustrated. It didn’t sound like he would have a issue with effort. I wonder if the injuries have made him lose a step. He is also in a weird spot where he is kind of a tweener. He isn’t a DE and he is to small for the inside. I wonder if he would do better in a 3-4 as a outside linebacker.
He's absolutely a DE. He's not athletic/rangy enough to play either OLB spots, but he could be a serviceable/rotational LDE in a 4-3 system like the Colts'.
