  1. It’s been explained several times, Caleb and his people aren’t getting any ownership. It’s illegal. Not allowed. If it was legal, wouldn’t Pat Mahomes have gotten that from the Chiefs by now? As to everything else, we’ll eventually see if this disappointing season impacts his draft position. Williams will be scrutinized heavily.
  2. Yup! You’re right! Nabers was a very good singer! It was always a surprise at how different his singing voice was than his talking voice. Like he was another person! And reportedly a good guy as well…..
  3. For what it’s worth, several days ago ESPN analytics put the Colts chances at 24 percent. Even if you added the ESPN number with Superman’s and divided by 2, it would put the Colts chances at roughly 15 percent. And that would still be 15 percent better than the odds most would have guessed for the Colts at the start of the season.
  4. Torn ligaments in the wrist of his throwing arm. Feel bad for Burrow, who by all accounts is a really good kid.
  5. Ballard loves to trade picks? I’m not following? Typically when Ballard trades picks it’s to acquire more picks. He trades down to collect more. He traded 1 to get two. He traded 2 to collect 3. Is this what you’re saying? Otherwise, I’m not following.
  6. Well…. Interestingly enough…. Oddly enough….. I finished my very long post to you and THEN checked both ESPN and NFL.com and what did I find?!? Crickets. Nothing. Not a word. Which couldn't be more odd. You’d think the opposite would happen? Honestly it makes me a little fearful for her. Hope I’m wrong. Is everyone waiting to hear what Fox will say? Is Fox talking with the Commissioner? Things can quickly get very weird when credibility is on the line.
  7. I confess I winced very badly when I read this. From what I’ve read this isn’t a trust issue. That she only did this when the coach was late or busy and couldn’t do the scheduled 1-on-1 to start the second half. Again that’s what I read. And I already know that USA Today says this should be a fireable offense, and that she’s admitted to it before. All that said, I think Fox has to suspend her, probably for at least a month, and maybe more. It’s quickly become a credibility issue for her network. They can’t do nothing. I don’t think firing is needed, her intention was good, she didn’t want to burn the coach who didn’t stop to talk to her. But now it’s about how she has handled this since coming clean has been wrong. Fox can’t just let this go without taking action. She should have discussed this with her producer or even executive producer after the first time it happened. Let them guide her thru the minefield. One bad step and ka-boom! Well, now she’s stepped on it! I think there will be stories about this EVERYWHERE today. it’ll be what I call a brushfire story. It starts fast and burns hot and quickly. Some media will demand she be fired. Other media will likely fall somewhere close to my view —- suspension but not fired. The next time we talk there may be new news about this….. thanks for asking.
  8. Thanks, John! You’re a stand-up guy!! I appreciate and respect anyone who comes forward…..
  9. You’re probably right. I haven’t done the math. And I know a typical playoff team needs 10 wins……. But not always. Once Cincy lost and likely loses Burrow for a while and the news about Watson kills Cleveland and Buffalo has Alien hot and cold and they close with a very tough remaining schedule, I thought our chances may not be great, but they have to have gotten better. (God, that’s an ugly run-on sentence! Yuk!!) I guess I’m saying the Colts odds would appear to be slightly better than Jim Carry’s famous “so you’re saying there’s a chance!”
  10. Burrow went down tonight with a sprained wrist in his throwing arm. Watson has been lost for the season… And Josh Allen us up and down and the Bills have a tough schedule to close out. So if Buffalo, Cleveland and Cincy might all struggle to make the playoffs, the Colts chances to make the post-season may go up…. Perhaps considerably. The second half of this season may get very interesting all the way to the end.
  11. You make fair points. I don’t have great answers. All I read is that he wants to keep coaching. Guess we’ll find out in January.
  12. Belichick will retire? Maybe, I suppose it’s possible. But I’m not reading that anywhere. All I’m reading is that he wants to keep coaching.
  13. If you watch Kenny, there are a number of downs where he IS an outside corner. When the team plays a straight 4-3 defense, Moore doesn’t come off the field, he’s the other outside corner. So the Colts get their money’s worth from KM. He plays the slot when the D is a 4-2-5 or a 4-1-6 or a 4-0-7. But Moore, for the most part, doesn’t leave the field. I get that KM’s attitude SUCKED last year. To his credit, he admitted that when he showed up this season. He’s a new man, both in playing and attitude and the Colts are benefitting from not trading or cutting him.
  14. …. as the top slot corner in football. Glad to see some have noticed just how good KM is this year. Many here wanted Moore traded after last years very disappointing season. Who will own that now?
  15. If you go on-line you’ll likely see four front runners. The top choice appears to be Washington. Other choices appear to be Dallas, Tampa and the LA Chargers. One story I read said the new owner of Washington is good friends with the son of Robert Kraft, which may make a trade between the two teams easier to pull off. New England will want to trade BB and get compensation for losing him. Lots of moving parts and this could get very complicated. But this is the latest I’m reading.
  16. Frank’s record with the Colts was 40-33-1. He was a good HC for the Colts. What’s happening in Carolina appears to be mostly out of his control.
  17. I suspect Frank really appreciates the support he always had from Ballard. And I’d bet he realizes there’s a good chance he’s going to be fired after one season. So if he’s going to get fired, he might as well go down believing in himself and trying his best to hold on to his job. But the idea that anyone would describe Frank Reich as arrogant is completely nonsensical. It’s the opposite of reality.
  18. Hackett was hired because Rogers wanted him. The jets aren’t getting rid of Hackett until they’re done with Rogers.
  19. Frank Reich might be the most humble head coach in the NFL. Goodness gracious!
  20. Interesting that you think Minshew was moving around with little or no pressure. I saw the game and thought GM was moving around because he was under great pressure from not great pass blocking. So we saw the same thing in the opposite way. I should add my view is the minority view here, but I’m fine with that.
  21. Yes…. It would be a head coaching job. Sorry I wasn’t more clear. He’s not going back to being a DC.
  22. You’ve now made two posts to me and I don’t think we agree on anything. So, we’ll just agree to disagree and move in from there.
  23. You rang? Was this for me? Sorry, how can I help?
  24. Jonathan Taylor Darius Leonard Michael Pittman DeForest Buckner Grover Stewart Quinton Nelson Braden Smith Rock Ya-Sin Bernard Raimann Bobby Okereke Josh Downs There’s 11 for starters. There are others where it’s too early to know either way, but your question is easy to answer. Do you follow the Colts much?
