Hey, I hate the whole NIL situation. I oppose it. I think it’s ruined college football for every college outside the top-30. That means roughly 100 schools are getting screwed because they can’t compete with the top schools for $$$$$ A real shame.

FWIW: I just went to the OSO website. Typically they will have the players major. Even if the player doesn’t have one yet, a school will list it as UNDECLARED. But for whatever reason, not in this case. Just no information on a major. Odd.

There’s an article that I read the other day…. Kirk Herbstreit says there’s a hot rumor that OSU boosters are trying to entice Harrison Jr to stay in school by giving him millions in NIL money. But Herbie thought it was doubtful it would work.

Just saw the headline over in NFL.com. Pittsburgh hopes Pickett is back week 18. He’s having surgery today on a lower leg for a bad high ankle sprain. Since Pitt is a future opponent and it benefits the Colts I thought I’d post this here for more interest.

Believe me, I hear you. And I’m mostly in agreement with you. I’d like more pressure as well. But the defense has been modestly better for roughly a month, and I think it’s worth noting. Yes, yes our opponents haven’t been great, point noted. I’m just looking for a little credit where credit is due. Hope you appreciate I wasn’t taking a shot at you. For your consideration…. I think it’s possible Minshew is being coached to go down asap…. The coaches may want him to avoid contact whenever possible because they’re trying to keep Gardner healthy. Even if he’s going down short of the first down. They don’t want Minshew to get hurt and have to rely on Sam. I don’t know this for certain, but I had that thought while watching a play like you described.

And he’s won a Super Bowl with Brady as quarterback. That completes a Hall of Fame resume’

Remember whatever you do, whatever you think, whatever you post, don’t EVER give credit to Gus Bradley! Whatever good the defense does it come not because of Bradley but in spite of him! Once this community has spoken, it’s very hard to change opinions. (Sarcasm…. Mostly)

All I knew is that the broadcast called it a touchdown. I left for a few minutes and when I returned the TD was gone and I couldn’t find any kind of explanation anywhere.

Anyone have a recommendation for which thread to post a discussion about the quality of the call Steichen made on the 2-point conversion? Maybe there’s already a thread handling that? Recommendations?

So I’m watching at my usual sports bar. The play happens. Tennessee returns the interception for what is called a touchdown. Celebration for the Titans. I use the break to go to the rest room. I come back and the Tenn TD has been taken away and it’s still Titans ball. I check the ESPN play-by-play link and it’s worthless. No explanation for why the TD was called off. So will anyone and everyone please explain to me what I missed and what I couldn’t get a good explanation for. And please keep it to the play and not the call by Steichen. That’s another topic that I’m happy to debate but I just want to focus on the context that has escaped me. Many, many thanks!

That was a 10 minute, 19 play, 70 yard drive to start the 3rd q. 10 minutes and 19 plays. Nice!

FWIW: A few minutes into the second quarter the Colts had literally run just 9 total plays from scrimmage. Nine. Not a typo. For the rest of the second quarter, the Colts ran 20 more plays. This game would look much different if not for the Minshew fumble. It’s not like ball got ripped out. He held it with one hand.

That’s a killer. Can’t let that happen, especially in the Red Zone. We go from getting points to getting zero. Damn!
