I' definitely say we get injured more than any other team. Most of the busts we have are because of injuries. Gonzo has a lot of talent but cannot stay healthy at all. addia could be very good but he's been injury prone the last few years. sanders was a stud but injury was his middle name. collie clark and garcon have all missed a good amount of time the last two years. Our secondary is in shambles and brackett has been injued too. even our o-line is depleted. the only position you could always count on was qb before this year. every year we suffer major injuries.

Am I missing something here? You say Kiper is a dunce but then agree with his essential premise that Luck and Manning on the same team is not a good solution.
i would assume when he saya they should not exist he means keep manning and trade luck which i agree with. mel sounds like an * saying colts will not keep peyton with no evidence to support his ridiculous claim.

Quote: It is direspectful and ridicculous across the board, to all the guys who are actually playing the game. Dwight Freeney.
Cant believe freeny said that. freeny should just not have said anything or made a joke. News flash freeny. we're 0-12 because peyton isnt here. the rest of the colts have shown to not he capable of winning. manning does not deserve the mvp, but he does deserve a few 2nd place votes or something. no one really agrees with manning getting the hardware, but instead the concept of manning being the mvp is what most people find truth in.

I think the giants or sf will make it. afc is a toss-up, either the jets, broncos, or ravens. and yes im serious.
-
We lost the sb b/c garcon dropped a huge pass, the coaching staff didnt let peyton go n score at the end of the half, hank couldnt recover the onside kick, stover missed a field goal, porter made a great play, wayne dropped a td at the end if the gane, and our d couldnt stop brees when it mattered most. that's why we lost.

Sorry,
I did not mean, trade the draft pick for multiple picks. I was referring to trading the draft pick for multiple proven defensive players. You are right the draft has not worked out for us building the defense, so we would not trade the coveted pick for more picks, trade it for players. We would then have the 1st pick in also the 2nd and 3rd round, which is about the highest pick they have had for 8 years always picking next to last. There are teams out there in dire need of a QB who have defenses that win all of thier games for them, this trade could help both teams involved.
i agree completely with your first post. I agree that we could trade the picks we get for proven defensive players. I still think we should draft defensive players because there are a ton of great d players in this draft.

Collins was pretty bad. peyton was fine because he will return and all the top qbs get paid a lot. tb gets paid the same. brees will get about the same next year and a-rod in a few years.
-
I dont think either of them will get over 1000 yards. Colts play some pretty solid defenses these last few weeks. I also dont think tjose yards are worth much because it didnt contribute to winning at all.

I don't think he'll be third on the all-time reception list. So no.
I don't think he meant it that way. I think he felt as if the FO was intentionally giving him a bad year so he doesn't get the big payday. Meaning he is going to play hard to make difficult on them to not re-sign him.
i think that is part of it but he also wants a huge pay day and will leave us for it. he has a huge ego, he got mad at peyton in the jets game last year when he only had one catch because he couldnt get off revis island.
-
Ravens will hand us a shut-out. ray and peyton will be chatting on the sidelines. ray will say, "sorry peyton. when i made those comments about your team without you.....well i guess i was seriously underestimating your value....they arent sub-par, they are one of the worst ever." peyton replies "yea...i know.....i just heard the same thing fron tom brady last week."

If you don't see the difference between doing a concert and playing professional football, and if you can't understand why the Colts wanted to reduce the risk of injury, then this is a lost effort.
I don't like what we did in 2009. But I do understand why they did it.
completely agree too

I see this coming down to Luck vs James... RG3 has Wright plus a good RB and a good defense. James has a good D but that's it. Richardson has a great overall team. Luck wins...
luck also has a great running game, o-line, and tight ends. its luck vs richardson vs rg3 at the end of the day. cant decide who will ultimately win. personally i think rg3 had the best overall season.

Where does the money come from? The market, AKA the fans. Supply and demand. No audience = no show business. Keep the fans happy and keep the money rolling in. How do you keep fans happy you ask? Win! And play to win EVERY game.
not going for 16-0 did not affect what the fans did. colts made about the same money they would have. hlad a star player went down then the colts would have lost more money because fans would not watch/purchase as much.

Well, first off I don't think hubris is the word you're looking for.
And second, it's only hubris if you fail.
i meant what i said. hubris = self-destructive pride
-
Rg3 will win it imo. Played well every game and with luck struggling at the end i think rg3 moved up enough. Trent richardson will be either two or three. these are the only three that have a shot at it.

Can someone please explain to me what Mike Ditka meant when he said " they(the colts) were afraid of perfection "?
Wth does that mean? Its devoid of logic and reason.
ditka was never one of the smartest people. ditka also has a huge ego.

The only reason that we have professional sports is because fans pay to see it. You play for your fans. Therefore, you go out there and try your best to win EVERY game. You don't keep or build a fan base by pulling your starters and losing a game on purpose. You and Polian can spin it any way you want to, but it was a gutless move that betrayed the players that wanted to play to win and fans that wanted to see an undefeated season.
there are professional sports because there is money to be made. the owners of teams want to make money and ultimately winning a sb earns the most. owners also have a second goal of winning a sb. resting the starters gives the owners the best chance to earn money and win a sb. going for 16-0 is a sign of hubris. and like i said i still wanted to go for it but that wouldnt have been the smart decision.

I thought rucker played badly imo. he gave up five or six first downs on third down. not what i would call a great game.
-
Very disappointing, I recorded the game and I just watched it i liked how Rucker played though and i can see him step up.
i really thought rucker had a bad game. he gave up about five or six first downs when it was third down.

If reggie resigns with the colts then peyton will help him break all of them except the td record.

Live in Nj. Went to the eagles game last year. Peyton saved all the colt fans there. If we had won, the eagle fans would have killed us. With that said still wish we would have won!

I subscribed and once I get it I'll post it.
Thanks Andy. Can't wait to read it, sounds interesting.

OK, if it's smart to rest the players, and this game doesn't matter,
why start them in this game at all???????
Why wait until late in the third quarter to make the change?????
You still want to keep your team in a little rhythm. If you don't play them at all those last 2 weeks, then when it's time for the playoffs they havn't played in 4 weeks.

Pats/Packers generate a ton of turnovers. we don't do that. and they also give up most of the yards/points in garbage time when the game is over. also those teams are great in screens. we are not. screen is just an extension of the running game.
Any Idea How Manning's Throwing Is Going?

you are right, we need a spy. About manning dressing up as painter....once the balls started landing in the wr's hands we would all know it was manning not painter.
