  1. That's exactly what I'm saying. He is never going to be Peyton Manning, he just plays QB differently than other guys in the league. There has been other QB's fail in the NFL or never get a chance in the NFL because they ran an offense like he ran at Florida, but none of those guys had 1/100000 the intangibles that Tebow has.

The way he plays qb differently is the problem. All those hits he takes are going to add up and eventually get him injured. And those intangibles run out at some point. Peyton can't always win in the 4th, Brady can't, no qb can always do it. Tebow wins mostly by coming back in the 4th. Don't misunderstand me, I like Tebow mostly for the way he acts off the field and for those intangibles, but I don't think that will carry him anywhere close to a Sb. Tebow reminds me a lot like Big Ben. Has a great defense the keeps it close and so he can win games. Big Ben can at least throw it though when he needs to for lots of yardage. If Tebow plays against any good qb he is going to get killed. Once he is losing by 10 or 14 early in the game, he won't be able to scratch and crawl his way out of it. If tebow could become a 60% completion passer he'd have a chance, but i don't think accuracy can be improved that much. I mean he has trouble against air.

  2. Saints have the #1 offense in the league.

Saints have the #2 offense in the league, and that's only because they played us. Once the patriots play us they will probably move into #2.

And the Patriots d is not bad, it's been exagerated. They give up yards, yes, but they don't give up points what is all that really matters. they are 11th in opposing points. Patriots are a great team, with great coaching, and great talent/team-players. They will put up 40+. i'll be happy if we score more than 6. They should be 28 pt favorites.

  3. That's outrageous. We'd be 1-11.

It's not outrageous at all. For one, we would not have gone winless. If you go winless, you are remembered forever as one of the worst teams all time, and if we do go winless then we could possibly become the definitive worst team of all time. Second, the patriots are rolling right now and if this group of talentless players and horrible coaching could beat them then that is the one of the biggest slaps in the face to Patriots Nation. Third, it's the patriots! They're our rivals and rivalry games always mean something and are memorable.

  4. Well, maybe a new QB and DC will help somewhat,maybe,possibly.......

    haha not likely.

We need a miracle...still that doesn't mean i won't root for that miracle up until the final second.

If we win it'll be right up there with the AFC championship, the sb against the bears, and 4th and two.

  5. That's like someone saying a season ago the Colts would go 0-16! There's no way that would happen!...

If you told me that Peyton wouldn't play the whole season then i would say yes that's possible.

If Rodgers, Brees, Brady, Roethlisberger, Flacco, Eli, Romo, Stafford, Cutler, Vick, and Shaub all get injured in the same year and are out during the playoffs, then i'll give Tebow a shot at winning the sb. Unless that happens he's not winning a sb.

  6. Cokts are not tanking and have not quit once. Constant cover 2 against a hof qb equals 60+ pts. Colts lack good talent n good coaching. There was a reason ray lewis said after our sb run in 09 that without peyton this is a very below average ball club.

  7. I disagree with the underlined part...I'd prefer to start changing the system now to a more balanced attack even with Manning back. For one thing, that takes some of the pressure off him. Also, it gives the rest of the offense the ability to adjust now to the new system and get comfortable with it so that the rest of the offense will be up to speed before the new QB comes in. That way it's only the new QB who has to adjust and not the entire offense which should make for a much easier transition for the new QB.

Not trying to sound arrogant, but when gave we had an offensive system? It's called peyton go to the line and pick a play. Our o coordinators do nothing really, except in the sb at the end of the half.....

Peyton tries to be balanced but its kind of hard when the rub game just shuts down sometimes. I remember against tye chargers we had like 16 rushes for 28 yards. If polian means drafting players that can run or block well im all for it. We will need a real o coordinator when peyton is gone but until then the overhaul just needs to occur in the play execution of the players.

  8. The thing about the schedule is that it wont be muchhaasier. Chargers might end up in last place n so will the browns. Itll be like what this year was supposed to be. One hard team in the pats n one easy one in kc this year. Next year one hard in the chargers n one easy in the browns. I expect to still win a lot of games next year n i think peyton will definitely get mvp.

  9. Of course you are correct. Except for the QB postion, the talent is "adequate to good to very good".

But with better coaching, this team could still be close to or better than .500....

And if I'm Luck or Barkley, this staff will keep me from coming here.

i would also add in "poor" when talking about the talent range. And i dont think with better coaching we would be at 500. But i do agree with you that we would definitely not be winless. Imo it is time for caldwell n his coaching staff as well as polian to go.

  10. True, but a team with far less talent than this. They crapped on Curtis and is costs them 4 mill. and they don't want to embarrass him again. imo

I dont really think we are that much talented than that lions team. Take away peyton n who do we have that is really talented. Freeny n mathis. Calvin johnson is way more talented than wayne. Not saying our overall talent isnt better but its not like there is some huge gap.

  11. They are not going to bench Painter. They are out right tanking no and Painter gives us the best shot to lose.

After the next two weeks we will be sitting at 0-13 and they will probably play Painter one more game to insure 0-14 and then give Dan a shot.

In all seriousness, of course it is time to give Dan a shot. This offense has been stagnant for way to long. Only reason we put up 19 points is because of a PI call and a great play by Reggie. Other then that Painter looked horrible. You got to try something against the Pats because if we are stagnant like we have been we will be lucky to get out of there with a loss of 62-7.

they are not tanking. Idk how people can believe that. We just suck plain and simple. And while i dont mind if dan gets a shot it is not like he will carry us to a win. Remember dan already helped lead one team to a winless season.
