  1. The whole situation is simple. If Peyton is healthy, then we trade down and use all our picks on defense. Wee also gtab ajother qb in the later rounds as we definitely know we need a better qb. My personal choice would be moore who would be a perfect understudy to manning. If Peyton is not healthy then we take a qb who could start right away. I wiuld rather trade down n grab barkley or RG3. Luck is good but he doesnt wow me more than those two. everything depends on manning's health. I still am 100% confident he'll play next year n lead us to a sb.

  2. 1- Moore (If we got him in the fourth round. He studies film almost as much as Peyton does. Would be a perfect qb who would wait to start for 3-5 years.) 2- Barkley or RG3 (We trade down n get more picks n grab one of them in the 1st round. They are starters right away). 3- Luck (Can start right away obviously but just think his skill is a little overrated.) 4- Jones. 5- Cousins.

  3. Anyone starting to believe that Wes Welker is actually going to break the receiving yards record held by Jerry Rice? After what he did against the Jets who probably game planned against him the best, I think he'll break it. If he does break it anyone think that he'll be considred for MVP? I mean that record is pretty darn impressive, he should get consideration.

  4. There is a chance Peyton could return for the Patriots game, so i'm still holding out hope. Peyton could win the last 5 in a row, so we really just need to beat Cin, Jax, Ten, Carolina. Brees will kill us for sure, Atlanta we have a chance (like 5%) so we could be 10-6 or 9-7. Texans seem to be the biggest threat, hopefully they can lose 4 more games (a few in the division would be great) and then that last one against the Colts with Manning. There's still hope, although it's disappearing rather quickly. Cin is a must win thou, just as i thought kc was. Root for parody in our division, everyone 9-7, lol.

  5. The season isn't over yet, but by a long shot. We can (not will, but can) beat any team that doesn't have a high powered offense. by week 13 (before the pats game) i still think we got a shot at being 5-6. If that's so, then if peyton can come back for the patriots game we've got to make the playoffs b/c Peyton can win 5 straight. If peyton can play then he should because our season isn't over yet.

  6. Superman said it perfectly. While fans may not know every inside detail of the team, we do watch the games and can see quite clearly that the gameplan needs to change. If we're just going to let them get short completions right in the middle, then we have to tackle. That one stretch was just brutal to watch b/c everyone (Tampa's Offense, viewers, and the broadcast crew" could see what was coming, Freeman just throwing a short pass in the middle. When that happens 6 or 7 times in a row, a change needs to have happened. The coaching staff needs to make a gameplan that takes more chances, and not just expect the opposing offense to make a mistake when the coverage isn't changing.

  7. Painter, he still has a ton to prove, but he is better than Collins. He has to watch out for those hits so he doesn't fumble, but he does seem to possess an understanding of the offense. With more practice reps this week hopefully he can give us a a chance.

  8. The excuse is that we don't have Peyton. It's not really an excuse either, it's just a fact. Without Peyton we're below average as an overall team. With Peyton, we become a good team that is sometimes great. Peyton instills confidence, gets the most out of his weapons, makes plays when the game is on the line, and keeps the defense off the field. And for those that think the season is lost, it's not. We can still make the playoffs. If Peyton comes back for the Patriots game, then we just have to win 5 out of the 11 games without him. There were six games that were winnable without Peyton. CLE, KC, CIN, JAC, TEN, AND CAR. We lost the CLE game but we can still win the others. Those teams aren't way better than us, so we can win them. With Peyton we could win the last 5 games in a row, and with the other 5 we won without him, we'll go to the playoffs at 10-6. Even if we go 0-4, then we still have a shot at making the playoffs because we only played one winnable game during that time frame.

I really believe Luck is not in our future, but another playoff berth and a chance to host our own superbowl. The season is still early, and Peyton will return in time.

  9. People need to relax. We can still go to the playoffs. We can beat CIN, CAR, KC, JAC, and TEN. Will we beat them? Idk. If Peyton comes back for the Patriot game and we have won all of those 5 we have a chance to go to the playoffs. We're really bad right now, but there are other teams that are just as worse. However, i'd say the only team definitely worse than us right now is KC. We're in a must win situation with those five games i mentioned before. Playoffs are still a reality, but that reality is growing dimmer and dimmer.

  10. That game just made me miss Mannning even more. Can't wait to see him again passing for a million yards. Anyone notice how many 300+ yard passing games this week? I can't recall there ever being that many. I thought the offenses were supposed to struggle, but it's the defenses that are just plain sucking. Maybe we're entering into a new passing era, the Super Duper Passing League. I wonder what stats Manning will put up.

  11. Peyton could be back by week 8. If that happens we could win it at 9-7 with our only win without Manning coming against the Bengals. 3 Months is really the maximum time until Peyton is ready, so there's still room for him to recover before then and help us win the division.

  12. He shouldn't travel with the team, just focus on his rehab and getting better. Peyton said before about how Dallas Clack couldn't even go to the Colts games last year because it was too agonizing for him emotionally. Imagine how Peyton would be feeling. Nothing is really beneifited by Peyton being there. Peyton isn't going to give the colts a better chance to win. Yes he's O-coorindator on the field, which means he's changing the play 2,3,4 even 5 times before it's finally snapped. That kind of knowledge and adjustment can't be transferred to Collins. And part of Peyton's greatness with being an O-coordinator is that he can make the final play work. He can really sell the play action considering our poor running game. He can make the throw his adjusted play right-before-the-snap needs. Peyton calls a play because he knows he can fit it in there, he can't call a play for Collins because Collins doesn't have that time of percision that the plays Mannning runs requires.

  13. If Peyton has gotten the green light to decide on whether he should play in week one, and he does in fact decide to play, then we have to trust his decision. Peyton cares only about his team winning, and if he doesn't think he can give them the best shot then he will not play. Just recall the Afc championship game against the pats. Peyton on the last drive of the game injured his fingers and he told Sorgi to start warming up. Peyton would not jepordize his career and the colt's chance of winning just to show some bravdo by playing.

Also, a 10% Manning is better than any qb on our roster.

  14. I'm also listening to Mike and Mike now. I strongly disagree with their picks, but expected it. Almost everyone in the media has them losing the division and out of the playoffs. If Peyton starts all 16 games, which I still expect him to do, and the offense remains healthy then we can go anywhere from 12-4 to 16-0. Most of the games we lost last year was due to the injuries and having Peyton to force some plays here and there (and there was also that ridiculous field goal against the Jags). Peyton can point up points and I'm very hopeful of the running game being improved with Carter. A healthy colts team can beat any team in the league.
