Yeas he was terrible. I could care less about his volume stats. 4.1 YPC is behind a good O-line. He was one of the worst receiving backs in the league and it was basicaly 11 vs 10 when he was on the field as a pass blocker.
His DVOA was -1.6% (20th in the league) and 27th in success rate.
Ballard ran against teams who planned to stop Luck.
Foster ran against teams who planned to stop him.

For the record, neither Luck nor RG3 will be a rookie next year. Putting them in the top thirty is justified due to their skills.

The Lions lost their last 8 straight games, so......................
I agree. No team in the league finds more ways to lose games than the Detroit Lions. Slap that logo on a pro bowl team, and they would still strugle to win eight games.

I would rather have Roethlisberger's 2005 sophomore season and post season.

He didn't buy me anything...

AJ Green
Either of the Kalil brothers
Aaron Rodgers (to tade for the #1 pick next year Jadeveon Clowney)

yep. and also, how does a 5'10" (5' 9 2/3) CB handle a Megatron size receiver? Answer: He doesn't
He hops on our 5'9" safety's shoulders...

Tedy Bruschi has said it several times about the AFC champ in 2007. And Tedy never lies.
Ha! You guys play in Miami every year an complain our dome is set to 80? That actually doesn't sound uncomfortable to me. I disregard any groundskeeper antics. We set it up to 80, and you guys thaw your field into mud to slow us down. It's all part of gamesmanship, if not really sportsmanship. I think they complained more about us "pumping in extra noise."
As far as the intentions of the thread goes, NE did well with the picks they had. They didn't have a lot to start with, but they managed to gather some role players. Nothing to brag about, but a nice draft.
Arizona is the team that I would want to trade drafts with.

They will target another illini... CB Terry Hawthorne
Unless someone like B Jones or Shamarko falls to us
-
They should be able to run the ball pretty well, but I still dont have faith in Jake Locker yet. He has no excuses this year after shoring up that OL. Plus the Titans secondary is pretty awful and Luck can expose them. So everything depends on Locker if they can compete with us.
He has no excuses... besides his receivers... and his defense...
Other than that, NO EXCUSES!

I've already heard The Germanator in his highlight vids.
Fro some reason I thought of Inglourios "s. After a sack 1 chant can be " NICHT! NICHT NICHT!"
Ha! And his number should be Nein.

Was Travis Frederick really one of those 16 players? Really???

Patterson?

Ha! You can see Pagano is trying to get a fierce guitar face going, but he can't because he's laughing too hard!

It seems a few Colts are in there. I've seen:
Luck
Mathis
Wayne
Hilton
Ballard
Freeney is in it too (still under Colts)
And our very own Cassius Vaughn makes a pair of cameos. Watching Andre Johnson walk into the end zone and getting stiff-armed by James Jones.

Seems a lot of people on this forum talk to their gut
The scary part is that many of them expect their gut to talk back...

didn't We traded our pick away to move up in another draft
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_nfl_draft
Use the link above, and you can see we traded down twice (with Atlanta and Pittsburgh) and got Bob in the middle of the second.
-
Didn't we trade our pick away to move up in another draft?
No. I believe you are thinking of the year we traded a future first to take Tony Ugoh in the second. In the next draft, we did not have a first. That was the year we took three centers (Pollack in the second).
-
I don't know why people think the colts will trade down. When was the last time the colts traded out of the first round
We did it the year we got Bob Sanders.

Pep and Pagano have both announced that they expect to add more vertical routes to the scheme Pep ran at Stanford. I'm not sure game tape would really give you a good idea, anymore.

I only know some.... I suspect I don't know the whole story.... but Leach and the coaches were running a long, difficult, hard, in-season practice.... and at some point, Wilson got fed-up and complained and then quit on the practice... and then, a day or two later, quit on the team. (really quit on the new coaching staff)
I think what we had was Leach and his staff trying to change the culture on WSU.... trying to toughen them up and see how hard were these kids willing to work.... but it was the type of practice you normally do during fall camp in the hot days of August, not half-way through a season....
I suspect in his heart of hearts Wilson realizes he probably did a stupid thing.... it certainly cost himself a lot of money.
Instead of being a 2nd or 3rd round pick... he's more likely going to be a 4th or 5th round pick. Pretty stupid. But, I hope not fatal at how we look at him. I think he's a seriously talented kid. If there were no other Red Flags, then I'd be willing to draft him....
The question becomes.... how high?
I think quitting on your team is exactly the kind of red flag that Grigson and Pagano will avoid players for. They are looking for people ready to come on here and WORK! They don't care if things are tough.

Good ones will be able to be had that go undrafted in my opinion
At the 254th pick, anyone we DON'T pick could be had as an undrafted free agent. It doesn't matter anymore if it's a kicker or not.

Ballard faced more stacked boxes than Foster? That statement is doubtful, at best. Do you have any stats to back that one up?
I think Bethea took up residence in the box in both of our games against Houston!
