  1. You are correct. Still, they wouldn't be working real hard to sign Walter, they could get him for a little more than vet min.

Cruz seems to be the best WR available, but that doesn't mean we'll go after him. I love that Walter reference you pointed out!

Ha! Thanks! My reference is obscure, but that seems to be the way Jim works.

  2. You really need to put a "JK" at the end of your post, people think you're serious. You don't trade for a FA.

I haven't seen all of Jim's tweets. Did he use the word "trade" in any of them? All I've seen is "deal."

  3. Aight folks, let's settle down & focus....

    He's a riddle dude....

    In - Arizona - but - the - phone - lines - burning - up - we - want - to - win - so - darn - bad - our - toes - ache - and - our - brains - are - gurgling!!!!!!! Our - fingers - could - end - up - crooked - and - elbows - drip - with - sweat - and blood!

Go to work. Obviously nothing related to the Cardinals because the phone lines wouldn't be needed. They're face to face......what else?

Any players put there with turf toe and a concussion that would still be worth trading for?

  4. I don't care for mock drafts with trade situations. It goes from making a educated guess as to who and where a prospect can be taken and then makes it impossible when you have to push that guess back even further and determine who the trade partner is, if they are trading players or picks, where those picks are and if there are any more details to go along with it. Making lofty guessing even more impossible essentially. Doesn't capture the spirit of a mock draft IMO.

As far as Hunt...he's too much of a project to use our first pick on and I could care less about Swope. Good receiver that could be had in the 4th round...but not an area of need. Our picks could be used elsewhere, especially in the first round. With as much cap room as we have, i'm not concerned about quantity as much as quality in this draft. So we should get the best guy available at 24.

I agree with you; except that I believe the difference between the quality of Kawann and the quality of Margus Hunt is minimal.  If we are sitting at 24 contemplating taking Short, while both are available; I would look to trade back.  I agree it makes guessing the future impossible, but I am not trying to guess what will actually happen.  I am trying to roughly explain my ideal scenario.

  5. I would love this scenario, but my ideal would have one change:

Trade back with our first to pick up an extra third, Target Margus Hunt with our first pick and Ryan Swope with our new third.  I don't care if WR's a need or not!  I like his skillset, and I think he could play outside allowing Hilton to stay in the slot.

Our most likely trade partner would be the 49ers in a scenario where Milliner and Rhodes are gone, and they want to jump ahead of the Patriots to ensure they get Trufant.

If you don't think Hunt is worth a late first or Swope is worth a third, I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE EXACT POSITIONING DETAILS AT THIS MOMENT.  We could just trade back again, if you want to.  I'm just saying these are the players I would target:  Hunt, Swope, Shamarko, etc...

  6. Big Knighton?? I hated him in Madden. Always harassing my offensive line & whatnot haha

Ha!  I played with the Colts, everyone harassed my O-Line.

I noticed King has A LOT of players that should go to the Colts and A LOT of players that should go to the Patriots.

  7. If Jennings would play here for 2 years, 15 million, I'd take it.

The biggest problem with that though is that his contract would then end the same time Reggie's contract would end.  Leaving us that year to find a #1 and a #2 wide receiver in the same year.

Unless Hilton, Brazill, or another young WR develops into a starter.  I think we have the young talent to pull this off.

  8. You're correct. Between May, 2010 and May, 2011, Giselle made $45 million to Tom's $31 million:

Also, Giselle appears to be on her way to billionaire staus:

So, Tom's biggest earning days are behind him while Giselle is just getting started. Maybe Tom can run one of her companies when he retires.

Man!  I need to take whatever investing classes they send models to!  Or find whoever is running her finances for her!

  9. Don't take it personal. I'm just giving you a good ribbing. But don't expect Colts fans to lay down and take it if you start claiming to have a superior franchise when we have owned you for a decade.

I'm not taking it personal, I've heard much worse things than " We beat you longer than you beat us" on here lol. And at this point, yes, I do think we have the superior team.

Just wanted to point out the difference here.

I don't think he could honestly say Houston has the better franchise.  This is a GREAT franchise.  That's why we stole it from Baltimore...
