I can see the future IndyStar headline now: Doyel: Ballard and Harbaugh Playing Blame Game, although they haven't stated this, it's obvious one is blaming the other for the 0-11 start. They both need to go. And Irsay's daughters need to demand control of the team, yes that's right, a coup.

@Jared Cisneros you are pretty good with Draft stuff, if Barkley is there for us would you take him? We may be Top 3 or 4.
3 or 4 probably not going to happen, we are in the crap-stink with too many teams in the proximity of "really bad". Based on the fact that we play some horrible teams yet, we have a coaching staff looking to scratch anything out for jobs elsewhere, and we generally always mess up our chances in the late season with meaningless wins, I'd say we will have 8th or 9th. See below if season were to end today.
edit: look at the bright-side, which team is grigson associated with?

when you read his article, you are thinking wow, that's brash, harsh, etc..... but as it starts to sink in, he is expressing things that many of us say to the tv screen when watching the colts game.... he just has the cojones to do that post-game in the media, and in this last case, straight to a player as advanced warning as to where he was going in his article. now, having said that, i certainly don't agree with all of his stances, writings, and interviews. That article was posted last night about 7pm or so, which is when I read it. I've had a chance to digest it and agree that some of the players (and Doyel made it clear he was only singling out a handful not the whole team) are playing for themselves... but in defense of those few, this team is a traveling dumpster fire...from owner, down to coaches, and guess what,,, it seeps down into the players. They get it that they suck, but doyel prints it not only in black and white, but in real-time vivid color. Is he over the top at times, yes , but might be the only one not afraid to call this organization out, other than Dakich.

Why did you put a question mark in your thread title?
Would have worked just fine with an exclamation mark.
or to not post it at all, it's a foregone conclusion (but they got me to respond i suppose - clickbait?)

Sadly this stupid staff will screw us on their way out and ruin our draft position we could make the playoffs sadly as terrible as the afc is
if you look at all remaining schedules, i would cross that off of your list.

We need to lose out. There's no point in messing up our draft position.
don't worry , we'll do this by accident not on purpose.

How's bout Thunder and Lightning
Kind of like Kevin Cronin and Gary Richrath

Between Mike Greenberg and DD, Ballard had to do some damage control, and that is exactly was today's on-air call-in was all about. I have a feeling Irsay will be next.
-
just listened , now i see what a few of you said about dakich holding ballards feet to the fire on a few questions. i was glad to hear ballard expecting wins, sounds like no settling for losses....which is perfect. pagano officially out (IMO) as we already knew but that just confirmed even more, i just don't see why you would keep a lame duck, get rid of him and let some other person have a chance and then we don't have to listen to the lame pagano post game excuses anymore. would have liked to have heard that take. i wonder if Pagano would still be here if we dropped that houston game? i'm thinking that would have been the "straw" for ballard.

He definitely did not go soft on Ballard. Called him out on a couple inconsistencies. Called him out for saying nobody ever set a timeline on Luck, when in fact Jim Irsay did, twice. I loved the interview myself.
interesting, dakich talked really tough on Colts in the few times i listened oct/nov. , I mean lighting them up big time, if he held up to the pressure of having ballard on, he would have been firing shots at Colts org. right and left (not necessarily at ballard but at the whole shootin' match)....i'm more interested now than ever to hear this.

This team is a total mess.....
We started by replacing water pump, timing belt, etc, then we started tearing off the heads and replacing everything just in case (valve springs, valves, retainers you name it), then we started full disassembly of the bottom half of the engine, replacing pistons, rod bearings. Now we have engine torn apart again, looks like maybe a crankshaft replacement. I'm hoping that Ballard doesn't feel like we need a new block in about a month.

Mother of god
Speaking as someone who's listened to a LOT of political and talk radio, easily one of the worst interviews Ive ever heard.
i'm not surprised

he is a classic panderer eventually acting like his guest is his best friend. will start saying things like "I know, right". not sure if this was the case but will listen to PC
-
Traditionally Dakich plays tough about a person on air then when he gets said person in studio or on phone, flames out and is soft. I haven't listened yet, but I'll check out podcast and see if he's in his normal form. Usually cringe-worthy radio

Injury prone woes for him. Not just any injury. IRinjuries....common theme with us and many teams.

Rats always abandon a sinking ship. This is when we start to see who is here to compete or who wants to leave. I couldn’t agree more with Vontae, change is good he can go be mediocre to bad somewhere else.

he's a very good player and it would be bad to lose him. one or two more years and he will be a diminished player anyway I'd like to thing he has two more good years. not great, just good. he's serviceable, but its a business and $$ will come into play for ballard. once we have a new coach, things will change and players that seemingly aren't ballers or have attitudes due to coaches being soft and accommodating will surely be weeded out.

Painful to think about this game and painful to click this link: http://www.footballdb.com/teams/nfl/indianapolis-colts/teamvsteam?opp=25
