  1. Luck under threw at least 3 plays that could have been big plays, so he certainly needs to be better. Our O-Line is most certainly terrible. Wayne and Fleener only receivers to show up really. We desperately need help up front

We need a running back, probably get the first or second pick which we may be able to pick up a good one and then work on O line.
  2. We have no offensive line and Luck has allot to learn. I think it will be 3 years before we can see the talent in him come out.. Our offensve line is so bad that he dosnt have a chance to shine. I think Donald Brown is not very good and I miss Mike hart. The Colts are a lot worse than I thought. I expected more but am now realistick about where they are out. We are still the worst team in football and probably wont move out of that position for a few years. We just dont have the talent. I hope we can build a monster but we are going to need allot of new players to do it.

  3. I love Peyton and still think he is the best QB to ever play this game, but with that said, if some of you don't see an obvious loss of velocity in his throws, you are absolutely fooling yourselves. I attribute that to the fact that the man hasn't played competitively in over a yr. and half. There is no reason why he should be completely back just yet IMO. I stated in another thread that if he still has this obvious lack of velocity come mid season, then I think the Bronco's are in trouble. It's true, that Manning at 75-80% is better than a lot of QB's but if he's not at 95% at midseason then IMO he never will be and I don't think he will ever be 100% again regardless. I think a lot of people are expecting way too much from Peyton and unfortunately his biggest fans are the worst one's.

The bottom line is how well he moves the Denver offense. He has had guys drop alot of balls but other than that, they are moving the ball. Peyton will get it together. These are the first games hes played in 2 years with a new team. He still looks good. I think you are wrong and when Denver makes the playoffs I hope you come back on here and admit it.
  4. everyone on here are starting to say how the o-line is bad, andrew luck is going to be amazing, we are going to be fine with freeman as a starter, antonio johnson will be a beast, etc. but we can't be making these comments after 1 preseason game. teams are running basic defenses and not showing anything they would bring in the regular season game. and it is just one game. you always see a player that could have one fantastic game.(such as david tyree) but be terrible in other games. do not make these comments until the bye week of the regular season. some may still happen such as andrew luck being amazing or the o-line being below average. but its hard to see freeman being a starter in this league. johnson might be a starter but i don't see him being amazing because of the the last few seasons.

Okay, no more posting for everyone.

Let us never forget what he has done for the Colts. Great post, Thanks
  6. Thank you Peyton, I won't forget.

But...it's Andrew's team now and he looked great!

I agree with you but whats this guy's thread going to be in 14 years? Andrew Who? Im sorry but I get sick of the disrespect that I see. It just says alot about allot of things to me.
  7. Thread title invites trolling. I know it's in good fun but.....kinda still a sore spot for many.

I agree, didnt like it at all. Peyton built that stadium. I think Luck is the real deal but to put the GOAT down like that is disrespectful. IMO
  8. Its been great. Finally after 2 years we get football back. I am sad and happy at the same time. The end of an era and the beginning of a new one. The beginning of a new one for our beloved Peyton. I wish him 2 SB and by then the Colts will be winning them for the next 15 years. Very excited. I cant wait to see the beginning of the Luck era.

  9. The true question fans need to ask themselves - do they need Luck to be better than Peyton or do they need the Luck era Colts to be better than the Peyton era Colts?

Given our playoff disappointments, Colts fans would rather have the Luck era Colts to be better than the Peyton era Colts; that is a safe bet, IMO. :)

If we build a better team, and Luck can be a Big Ben or Eli, and cash in on fewer playoff appearances, the answer is no; he does not have to be as good as Peyton.

Exactly, the Colts seem to be building a better all around team. Im sorry but our defensive scheme's stunk in the Manning era. Our losing was the systems fault, not Peytons.
  10. I hope Luck is blessed with a better defense (on average over the years) than Manning was so he doesn't need to be as good or better than Manning. Not that he doesn't have the ability. I really loved watching Manning play, but there were definitely times over the years where it seemed he felt the offense needed to score every time they had the ball. And he was probably right. I think that required Manning to force things as times.

Colts need to build a more well rounded team with Luck. If they do, they can win multiple SB. No more stupid small ball. Thats why Manning didnt win more SB's. When it got right down to it, our D couldnt stop a highschool team and our coaching stunk under the Manning era.
  11. I believe Irsay would have been the one sending future draft picks to St. Louis for the rights to Luck.

I also will never understand the disdain that RGIII has received from this fan base.

You presume too much. I have no disdain for him, in fact he seems like a great guy . I just dont like the media hyping up someone based on very little. There is a motive behind it and I am tired of that. I hope he does well, just not as well as Luck.
  12. It's been the same way that it was since pre-draft...everyone is hyping up both Griffin and Luck, Griffin is only getting slightly more attention because, it seems, many are aware that he is in a position to succeed right away. Luck is still the big talk of the NFL though. It's going to be like this throughout the entire season, best to get used to it now.

I just notice allot more on RG3. I just think they have gone overboard. Ive been getting ready for FF and most of the mag's are leading you to believe that RG3 should have gone 1. Hes only had 1 good year in college and Luck has been more consistant. And BTW, no way was he in the running with Irsay or Grigson. It was Luck all the way.
  13. If you're tired of reading about him, then stop clicking on articles about him. It's that simple

Really, Come on, the Colts forum has really gone down the tubes You guys are so critical on the dumbest things. I was just noticing all the articles on NFL about the guy and it seems to me they are investing allot in this guy before he even takes the field. GEEEEEZE.
  14. Is anyone else tired of hearing about this guy? My gosh, every day on NFL there's an artical on him. We know what he eats, when he sleeps. Unbelievable, The NFL has alot invested in him. Any body with half a brain would have picked Luck over him and for good reason. I know its not his fault but Im tired of reading about this guy.
