  1. I'm not very good with football history. I certainly have Rice at #1 and Harrison at #2. Moss and Hutson are both top 5 in my opinion. Cris Carter and TO both make it into the top 10. Again, I don't know much about historical players, so my list isn't a very comprehensive one

I think its a darn good list and pretty acurate. Harrison dosnt seem to get the credit because he wasnt the tall reciever everyone wants but he could do more than Moss or TO ever could. He was special. There are allot of Moss like recievers out there but no Marvins. They are hard to find
  2. Good, now we can have our immediate future with PM, and then our longterm future with Luck. It's the best of both worlds, we get our star QB back and our future is set. It's good that we can't trade PM

I love that idea but the problem is still not being adressed. The front office couldnt build a team around the GOAT so what makes people think Luck will get us a SB in the future. Nothing will change untill Pollian and the coaching staff are gone. Luck will never be near what PM has been and still will be.
  3. Absolutely!!!!!!! Same thing I've posted in other threads. With proper management capable of making adjustments and not letting egos get in the way Peyton probably has 2 or 3 rings by now. The Polian apologists would try and make you think otherwise but I think many are finally coming over to the other side. Polian built this team(that doesn't even look like an NFL team at the moment) and I think he should take the fall even before the coaches personally. Peyton covered up the fact that he hasn't been good in a long time and is really an average GM with an over inflated ego. We have had the same weaknesses for a decade(which is why so many early playoff exits) and he hasn't been able to fix it.

Could not agree more. I have been saying this for a long time. We have known what the problem has been for years but never fixed it. I feel sorry for Manning because he is the greatest of all time and could have won many SB.
  4. I have to disagree with this. I have seen fans say trade Peyton, not saying it is the majority but it has been posted on this board.

I also think it is disrespectful, and I thought so before Mora said anything. Yes they can wear whatever they want and buy whatever they want, it is something I personally would not do though.

To me it is a slap in the face to the team I support.

If Peyton wanted to be traded so that he could win a sb, I wouldnt fault him for that and would even support him. The front office has let him down in a big way and I feel for him. he will never win a SB in Indy. I dont see him doing that but just saying.
  5. Okay I have vowed not to get on here and discuss football in general until one of these inept coaches we have

is replaced.( i.e. hc, st, oc, dc, all the way down to the water boy). Because there are a hand full of posters who are

unaware that there is not a net or bat involved in this sport, but yet always feel they are the only smart people on here. That being said I think is time to adress fans. In my opinion it is impossible for any of us to get on here and judge who is and who isn't a quote unquote a" REAL FAN", I hate that term, if you spend your hard earned money on tickets, parking and merch.you are a real fan in my book. For instance my son is a frosh in high school and qb of his jv team and a great student to boot. Now if little johnnie sat at home and did nothing positive and was in trouble all the time and I sat by and did nothing but tell people what a great kid I had and that he is getting better six inches at a time and is only making correctable mistakes that have gone on for 18 straights months now .Even my true family members might have to call me out for his bad ways and question my subpar parenting. Now does that make them fair weather family members or family members that care?

Ditto what you say,I am so tired of people trying to determine who is a fan and who isnt. It dosnt matter one bit. We as individuales will determine who we are, not someone else and certianly not Obummer and the rest of the marxist in Washington. had to add that, couldnt resist.
  6. I have never said I didn't have issues with how the team is coached, just that I don't think we as fans have any clue how good or bad they are since we are not privy to all the information. I think we can question decisions, but some want to question heart, drive and other things. But I am wondering why not take the safety and why not do what Jville did against the Ravens and just run, run , run...

You mean, whaching them dosnt count?
  7. You and I know that Caldwell and his staff is the worst coaching staff in the NFL.

You and I know that Irsay and Polian know what they are doing.

I know that they are "tanking" the season by keeping this staff intact until the season is over, thereby quaranteeing the first pick in the draft without any heat on themseleves. And now you know, too.

    Talk about unethical......

This season is proof that Polian sucks, this is his team.
  8. Many here believe that Peyton will retire a Colt and that the Colts need to show Peyton the love and not draft his replacement this offseason and this and that about Peyton Manning. So my question is what do the Colts owe Peyton? If the Colts can find a better choice for QB before his contract runs out would it be out of line to either Cut or Trade Peyton before his contract ends? Is it out of line for the Colts to ask Peyton to become the backup at some point?

Isn't it the job of the Franchise to do what is in the best interest of the Franchise? There are those here who point to the Patriots as a model franchise that the Colts should be more like in the area of mag't. Well the Patriots have shown they are willing to dump players even a tad before their decline and move on to other players. This past draft they used a pick on a QB whom could replace Brady in a couple of seasons.

The 49ers moved Joe Montana out via trade for a younger player in Steve Young and we all know what the Packers did to a legend in that city just to get Aaron Rogers into the game.

So what do the Colts owe Mr. Manning?

Did you say we cut or trade Mannining? Are you kidding with the cut? Luck will never be as good as Mannining. The question is, does Manning want to play on a real bad team or go and win a SB. The Colts will not have any descent years until they fire all the people involved. Luck would NEVER be able to do what Manning has and can do. Just look at all the money Irsay has made by having Manning single handedly winning games. No one would be buying any of the Colts stuff if it wernt for Manning. He should own this franchise.
  9. His recent tweets are so lame. 9 straight years of playoffs are great and all Jim but 1 ring to show for it and s defense that has been getting worse. Polian should recognize this but we draft Donald brown gonzo and other offensive players that aren't performing. We need change and if he doesn't realize it now he never will.

I agree but expect it coming from a liberal. He has no clue. They have done a poor job with the GOAL qb. Feel sorry for Mannining and we the fans that have been screeming about these problems for a long time while watching them do the wrong thing year and year out.
  10. There is zero chance. You don't fire the folks that took a horrible franchise and turned it into one of the top 3-4 franchises in all of football because of 1 horrible season. Polian has shown the ability to adapt and change over history and bring winning to every franchise he has been involved with.

I strongly disagree, hes shown he is cabable of putting together a playoff team but Not a SB team. 1 SB is lucky, 2 is a great team. We have never had a great team.
  11. I know. People are really hard on our defense, and rightly so, but it's been our offense that keeps turning it over early in these games. Now our defense is trying to make something happen, but they aren't being rewarded for it.

Not trying to be an * but our D has really never worked well. This is the product of IMO poor managment of a team. We have had the GOAT qtrback and if we would have just had a semi descent team we would have won more than 1 SB. I never new untill this season how bad we really are.

  12. The next thing people will say is that we need to play closer to the WR's. Against guys who are 6'4", how well do you think that will go? Brees will throw slants and screens against soft coverage, and will throw go routes, drags, and fades against tight coverage.

It goes back to the scheme that we play. But in case you arnt watching, what we are doing ISNT WORKING

  13. So a coach is responsible for players fumbling? Carter stumbled, and a defender punched the ball out.

Reitz tapped Saturday when Painter wasn't ready.

Which one of those player mistakes belongs on Caldwell's head?

How about what I said about the D scheme. They are sitting way off the recievers, Thats coaching, not players
