  1. Marketing is just not commercials in terms of brand and influence. There is also print, the Internet and stories written by third parties that have reach beyond just the sports world. And in Brady's case, everywhere his wife appears, he appears also. So he has her reach as well moving his brand at a global speed.

Correct but commercials are the biggest part because star power is big business in marketing.

  2. Actually

I can say one thing here.  This is the second thread to go to hell in a handbag if we do not calm down.

Take this as fact:  Michael Jordan is one of the greatest athletes EVER.

Tom Brady would not even be in the top 10-15.  Give me Jessie Owens, And Jackie Robinson before any Slow Old Pro Style Quarterbacks....I am done.

Life is not about Tom Brady folks...

Nor will it ever be . Lol as far as SBs Tom has P.M beat but not in star appeal and endorsement.

  3. *sigh*

Jordan is and always will be one of the greatest to ever play. But right now, Brady's star power is bigger. There really is no denying that.

Don't  agree still don't see him making the National endorsements Jordan does , and further more never will. However in some areas and circles your statement may ring true.

  4. I wish Montori, Chapman and Kerr all 3 would drop to around the 315 mark. No sense in a D Lineman having to be as big as those 3 are listed. It should help not only their mobility but stamina, I think that's the wall Kerr hit, I think he can be real force

I agree on all counts ,being in playing shape to optimize your potential is a must . I believe all 3 have talent, not just to loose wait but add strength at the same time.

  5. Actually, my concern was purely economical in scope & I didn't mention any party or elected official by name so I fail to see how my comment was in any way inflammatory or in violation of forum rules.

It for merely a hypothetical for instance example of a potential problem. Nothing more; Nothing less Scooter. The citizens of Indianapolis are very kind & hardworking. I don't foresee a huge problem in my renter/landlord  example, but the possibility for discrimination however remote still exists. That was my only point.

Lol Brother hope you didn't think I was referring to you in my previous statement . :number1: You have always had respect for everyone in here and differing opinions.

  6. The law is only there to protect you from the government forcing something against your beliefs/views. It should be a good thing. It says nothing about individual discrimination against other individuals. That's what the media is twisting and it's totally incorrect. Read the law, it's literally 1 paragraph long with 2 paragraphs of definitions.

    Yep

  7. Todays media nauseates many of us filtering thru the different outlets views & attempts to report in a manner than can be misleading to further personal agendas are disheartening .

Very and many times we are not getting but fractions of truth.  This has been going on for years and gets worse everyday. So who do you believe ? News was supposed to be about reporting facts not pushing an agenda.Ive got almost 0 trust in news organizations anymore.

  8. Its one of those cookie cutter programmed laws that been suggested by the Heritage Foundation...

...and 19 have similar laws..and they will all face a constutional test. It doenst allow people to be treated differently because of

religious beliefs......It only allows those beliefs

We all know there's a lot of groups that will always publicize something like this...and he forced the NCAA, NFL and NBA to side with the law or against he. He should have forseen that.

I think Gov. Pence thought that no one outside of Indiana would notice..(the private bill signing)..a bill he had to know was controversial at best. We're so multi-media now that cant ever happen. The Gov forced Indiana businesses to defend themselves..

The Pacers have sent me 2 notes already saying that they don't know anything about anything.

Good for the Pacers .  The way it should be stay out of it.

  9. We in Indiana love our sports all venues this was preventable Pence just fumbled the buck stops with him, he & Brian Bosma need to fix this & prove they can put all Hoosiers & visitors first & not on the back of some bus .

Some things are more important than Sports , IMO the NFL and other Sports entities need to keep they"re political views out of it.

  10. People do care, Adonis.  It just seems not the ones in the right position.  For anyone in Indy, our morning show on WZPL 99.5 is having Pence on the air to discuss it.  He's been on the show before.  I'm afraid I might be walking into a hornets nest in the morning just simply going into work.  But, whatever side you're on, it's a good time to call in and voice your concerns.

Phone # and can you get this on the net ?

  11. I was watching Mike & Mike the other morning they were talking about the Gates lol , and said the tapes from spygate were burned. NFL coverup , so the media doesn't get the evidence and let us all know what really happened ? It might damage the ole rep , however IMO the rep is already tainted. As Forest said that's all ive got to say about that !

  12. I don't get HBO so I couldn't watch it even if I wanted to until NFL Network airs it years later as a re-run. Generally, behind the scenes stuff bores me to death. Just show up on game day, that's all I care about.

Okay, let me rephrase that. On landmark albums, I like hearing about the process & stages overall in creating a masterpiece recording. However, seeing players in team meetings, rehab, lift weights, or during practice only works in small doses for me. Just bring the heat on Sunday, Monday, & Thursdays thank you.

Ive got to Agree Brother , ive had HBO and couldn't set through an episode . It was boring.

  13. This is great. I think traveling for business allows one to learn more about people. You always come across as being very open-minded. :)

You give great examples. I think "a mess" in NY means that one's affairs are not in order or someone has a lot of problems/issues. When I was an adolescent, I was very literal. If someone said, "That's bad", I thought it meant it was wrong or not good. However, often it meant "good" or "I like it". It did not make sense to me how "bad" could mean "good".

I have traveled throughout the country. The only place that I have found language somewhat difficult to understand is in some parts of the south (southeast). Years ago, well before GPS, I went to North Carolina for a wedding. Traveling back to the Greensboro airport, my friends and I asked someone for directions. He told us to take what sounded like "the Winsail exit". It now seems that we should have easily deciphered what he was saying but we kept looking for "Winsale" or "Winsail". We eventually figured it out that he meant "Winston Salem". Thankfully we had given ourselves a lot of time and we did not miss our flight.

Lol I love accents and slang , understand most, but have found overbearing accents from all areas ,sometimes hard to understand

  14. I'm going to guess if this has any merit to it, that Goodell doesn't want Winston to show up because Winston threatened to do or not to do something on draft day that would embarrass Goodell and the NFL. He probably would refuse to shake the Commish's hand or he would say something incredibly stupid. Winston probably already told the commish what he had planned and they got into a disagreement during their private meeting.

I'm just speculating at this point, but it's probably somewhat close to the truth if it's indeed the case that Goodell doesn't want him to show up. With his immaturity issues, I wouldn't put it past Winston.

This should throw red flags to teams across the NFL.
