  1. yeah he really shouldn't be saying that as though its an absolute fact. Its his take on the situation but isnt really proven. It could be true, i think its more accurate to say they want to see how he does and what the fit is like before making an offer
  2. If thats true then he will play out the season and be gone next year. If its not true then they will make an offer or tag him in 2024 Hes not making 10 mil now, they dont have to do anything with him yet other than play him. hes not making too much this season
  3. He isnt making that this year either, its really not an issue yet. They will have him play out the year and come up with a plan for him next year. They have no reason to cut him now, he isnt making a fortune. I doubt big trade offers are going to come in but they will listen if they do He cant just sit out, he wont hit free agency if he does that.
  4. He wont get away with that for an entire season. The team would have doctors clear him and at that point he has to play or is officially holding out and there are rules about that.
  5. He looks bad and fans are complaining but nothing has happened that really hurt him yet. As long as he plays he hasnt really hurt his value with any of this
  6. I dont think we should actually give him what he wants. He needs to play this year (as first string) and both he and the team will go from there. Hes ok as a receiver too, not great but they can dump it to him.
  7. I think hes worried about the franchise tag. If they were just going to let him test the market that wouldnt be a big problem for him. It may even be what he wants
  8. Shance led a run heavy offense last year with a 1200 yard rusher
  9. I dont think they should give him the 16 mil per year. he just needs to play out his contract and we go from there Im not over valuing a RB in 2023
  10. Its looking like he wont be back next year and thats fine. Play out this year, make an offer based on how he does. If hes still worthy of the tag then use it, if not let him walk
  11. Teams have played disgruntled players before seeking new contracts. Fans being sick of this isnt a reason to bench him. hes signed and can help us win games this year.
  12. He cant just sit out under the new agreement, he will never hit free agency They are not going to cut him, the team doesnt need to. he pretty much has to play
  13. The team wont go by that logic. He's signed and has talent that can help us win games this season. They dont have to do anything about the contract until next season, even if he tired to hold out.
  14. Doubt the team will actually have to worry about that. Nobody wants to trade much for a disgruntled rb seeking a big contract after expiring this year
  15. So JT himself said he doesnt have back pain and never did. What is even going on anymore lol
  16. He pretty much has to play, this wont be a big problem until next year. Sitting out now isnt going to get him more money This could get tough if he does have another big year, if he doesnt he wont have leverage
  17. Well they did say random, If the deal really happened it probably wouldn't be to a team in the running for the top pick. A bad team wouldnt be that all in on trading a first for a rb I just did a random # generator 1-32 and got 6. Id probably take that, not sure if any real team would offer a first at all
  18. I would think about it. An expiring RB for what could be a high first round pick is an interesting gamble
  19. Im not worried about it. If I were the team i would play out the season and make him an offer afterwards based on how he does. Coming off a down year isnt the time for him to hold out and demand more money, hes going to play this year.
  20. He was just drafted younger than pretty much everyone else so his college career looks bad. Guys like Luck, Burrow, Allen all had a year in college with low completion % too. no one talks about those seasons because they stayed and did well later AR was drafted young and didnt get that chance. there will be first round picks taken 2-3 years from now that are older.
  21. Taylor. Buckner Smith Pittman Moore No one on the roster changes our win total more than JT this year. We probably wont win many shootouts but we could win with rushing Kenny wouldnt be in my top 5
  22. I think defenses tend to start off better, especially against young qbs
  23. Im worried that he wont be able to live up to his contract. the cap hit is about 20 mil per year for the next 4 years Thats a high standard and the team could have a tough decision over cutting him or paying him if hes average. It would take a lot of production for a fully healthy will LB to live up to that
  24. As much as it takes. we drafted one of the youngest and least experienced qbs ever taken. You dont do that and then get impatient after 3 weeks
