They wont go by that. All of the above will be ranked on list together and it wont necessarily be by position

The reason I dont like going with a Defensive end this year is I dont see a big upgrade over what we have.

I would do that in a heart beat and not worry about Pierce tbh. Hes alright but you can find guys like him every year. It would be funny to see Reggie waynes reaction to this, hes always been in APs corner but you know he would be pumped if we got Marvin. That would be a dream come true for him

I would take that as a win and not worry about what happened to the other guy.. Stuff like that happens in sports where the best teams get hurt or knocked out early. It would be boring and kind of pointless to watch if you knew the best roster would always win

There could be so many WRs already taken that its not worth it to us. I hope thats not the case but if we can get the best corner in the draft vs the 5th WR we might have to go defense

My comment as actually more directed at Tua and Herbert because I personally liked them better. It would have been a risk to trade up but we could have done it. Houston didnt want to trade up either, they wanted to pick someone at 2 and then trade for Will Anderson. If you just sit and wait for a great qb to fall to you in the draft it may never happen before the regime is fired. Ballard could be in that position soon

We didnt need anything from them to make a deal. A team moved up to number one in that draft and we were in better position than them to do it.

He's too risk averse to make the big trade for someone like Tua or Herbert. He wont say he made the wrong choice because he doesnt believe in that kind of gamble. Same goes for Stroud, they dont believe in trading up like that.

My favorite recent season was actually 2021, mostly because of Taylor's big year.

That is a surprise to me. Watching games I just try to enjoy the moment and we did get to 9 wins. It was ok but I never got super excited because it felt they were not really built to go anywhere. We have seen worse, other teams see a lot worse too. But 9-8 isnt going to bring a celebration of Chris Ballard from me. With the new playoff format lots of teams are close every single year. Im not mad about this free agency specifically but Im not confident in where the team is going either. So we are hoping AR is going to be amazing? If hes not we could be looking at a big rebuild
