  1. There was a reason the Colts didn't want to extend Taylor. It's the postion he plays and not because of his talent. With Pittman it is the reverse. If the Colts truly felt he was irreplaceable, they would have gotten a deal done by now. I say they let him test free agency. They drafted Downs and they have numerous tight ends who have similar skill set that Pittman has.
  2. Downs already impresses me more that Pittman. He shows some explosiveness, great hands and doesn't take stupid penalties. We need a game breaker. We need a game changer at wr. Draft him or sign him, I don't care but get one. It has been seven long years and if your org cannot draft or develop one, then admit it and do it another way.
  3. There offence is slow enough. Trust me, he wouldn't be at the top of their list. Tell me this. When u see Pittman, how would you grade him and/or what do u like about him or what stands out about him?
  4. Yeah how do u relegate Moss to back up when he has put up the numbers he has? Ballard talks bout character and earning your position. Taylor wasn't there for the team , but Moss was.
  5. I would let Pittman explore free agency. I really don't beleive he will get offered a lot. Wrs who get big money are getting it based production plus what they might do in the teams offence. I think a lot of teams have a number #2 and are looking for a #1 , but are fine if he is another #2 but can stretch the field and offer game breaking speed. To me, Pittman doesn't do that.
  6. As much as I like Franklin, u let him walk. I have said on many occasions that u can find lbs in the later rounds to excel in this D. Leonard and Franklin's dominance should tell u their success is probably more related to them fitting the scheme than their overall talent.
  7. Oh, I didn't see that and error in my part. I was well aware of that.
  8. And u wil never convince me that Young was Frank's favorite qb coming out. Way to small
  9. I know, the player has to sit out a year, however that wouke never happen. If for example Williams refused to walk to the podium after being picked by the Bears. A deal to trade him would eventually be done.
  10. It's a long season. People will jump all over Frank and with an 0 and 5 start, it will justify their belief that he was the problem. What people wil always leave out is the fact that he has started every season with a new qb. U take all the hall of fame coaches and how many of them would have been successful given those circumstnsces? I wouldn't be surprised to see Carolina gets better as the year goes on. I mean u gotta as u haven't won a game yet lol.
  11. Could be right, but any injury to the throwing shoulder is concerning no matter the severity.
  12. Good point, but one qb was drafted because of his athletic ability and how the coaches could use that athleticism to their best advantage. Really handcuffs the team when u wince ever time this guy gets hit.
  13. Totally agree. What people are not looking at is this. They had him under contract for thr remainder of the year and this protected him against injury.
  14. I think what people have to remember is this. U would still have the cap, so teams really couldn't just load up on talent. I think people would surprised how it could work.
  15. No doubt. I know it is early, but I bet the Colts r already having those discussions internally. What do u do if he comes back in, say, 4 weeks and gets hurt again?
  16. My error but he took a lot of brutal hits over his career. One can argue that Richardson is either made of glass or just having a run of very bad luck. I think you and me have watched a lot of sports over the years. It does not project well over a players career to be injured in 3 our of 5 games as a rookie. Honestly, I cannot think of another player who has started off his career in this manner and has gone on to have a lengthy career. Can you name one? Not trying to be super negative but it is a real bummer.
  17. Agreed, but Stafford was tough as nails as a rookie and took a lot of hits. I don't think he missed 3 out of his first 5 games. That's concerning
  18. If your plan is to quit running him , then why did u draft a 250 pound qb who can jump to the moon and run a 4.4 fourty? U lose half of his skill set. If this is who he is moving forward, I bet the Colts will be scouting qbs. There is no way u can rely on a qb with this injury history so short into his career. Let'shopefully chalk it up as dumb luck and he will be healthy moving forward. However, if he comes back and ends up on the sidelines again. I think the Cols will seriously think of alternate plans regarding the qb position.
  19. ACL less alarming injury to a qb that doesn't rely on his athleticism. Injury to throwing shoulder much more concerning. I just have visions of Luck all over again. His arm was never the same, and if u watched that KC playoff game, you would have noticed that. I would have never drafted Young because I thought he would never last in the NFL. Getting hurt was the least of my concerns regarding Richardson.
  20. Absolutely. The draft is antiquated. I as well as u r able to go to any employer when u finish college. I feel it should be the same for these young players. Once they go to the NFL, they r the property of that team for roughly 7 years with little chance of movement. Not saying I am right orvu r wrong. Thst is just my view on the topic.
  21. Man, u really come across as a very angry person. Wish u all the best.
  22. Thr only problem with what u r suggesting is this. If the Colts fear that Richardson will getvhurt on every play then how do u think defences will react? He will lose half of his skill set. This is what he is at this point in his career.
