  1. Based on what you see on the field. This is an opinion forum, not a forum with a fact finding mission. If you are looking for facts, then you will just have to be satisfied with the numbers on the field and what they spew as coach speak / GM speak on podiums.

Fans give opinions based on what they see on the field, that is what the forum is for. You are entitled to yours just as others are, we all have to just tolerate it and engage in discussion based on it. No one party is always right because both sides have just that, opinions. But one can have an intelligent discussion if the points are made out well. Some choose to see the glass half full, some choose to see the glass half empty, that is all :).

Well said, opinion, insight, discussion is what the boards are for

That said, I do agree with OP

Because we really do not have full knowledge of what is really happening, it often surprises me to read opinions heatedly in favor of major change...........often. slash and burn slash and burn slash and burn

I sometimes wonder what it it like to work for these people. Do they still have employees or are they all fired all the time?

Finally, there are some great football heads on here who take the time to explain what they see as the issues and what they see as solutions. Well thought out and supported opinions.... have more sway with me.

The rest, at least to me, is just fans venting frustration.

And I do not think this is a terrible thread. I think it is a good question, good thread

  2. Wow, a few losses and everyone gets so bent out of shape about nothing. Did anyone happen to read the media release for the Bucs game? Guess who is listed as the probable starter... Collins. Did Collins start the game? It's the same list of probable starters as before the first game. They update the "comments" about the starters but the only starters they have changed are Brackett and Bullitt after they were put on IR. Heck, Brackett and Bullitt were listed as probable starters in the Bucs media release on the same day they were IR'd.

True, honestly I would be surprised if Painter didn't get significant play time. He was clearly better

  3. ...Everybody remembers game 15 of 2009..

But THIS is his first-ever REAL start...On National TV..in a game where his team is desperate for a win....and everyone in his home state is watching....

His team is a double-digit underdog......and the season is almost lost..

This kid has got some serious issues with karma. Hope for his sake he does at least as well as Collins.

  4. Maybe because even past their prime they're better than the young ones:)

    Plus the crowd isn't young.

    Good point JJ.

But there are artists that have broad appeal

After every superbowl......mostly what you hear is complaining about the half time show

    But

My kids liked most of them

I liked most all of them

For sure they are better in person

Hey JJ how about the Go Gos?

  5. Looks like that is just a rumor and hopefully stays that way

I don't think she has broad enough appeal. I own some of her music but...........nothing recent and really not much.

I saw Prince and the Who at our SBs and they were really good shows.........at least for the people in the stands

As far as Black Eyed Peas..........I loved them AND Fergie

I was kind of hoping for Bon Jovi............who doesn't like Bon Jovi?

  6. Sundays is the big food day around here tonight I will just be doing grilled chicken with a buffalo sauce and pasta and I have some RiverHorse brew in the fridge.

Your monday plan sounds like a sunday plan to me.

We grilled steaks last night and had squash with dried cranberries. maybe there's leftovers so I can forage tonight

  7. Saw this and had to reply. It's not a redesign, it's an upgrade. new version of the same software and new server. Notice the speed? We shouldn't crash any more

we haven't even had a chance to design yet rotfl

Off topic, but another forum redesign? lol

  8. Thanks for adding your perspective.

After hearing he was not cleared to be on the sidelines, I was a bit concerned.

Walking brisk laps, not bad for someone who's had bone taken from his hip

I saw video on NFL network. For anyone looking for a reason to be optimistic, he looked 100 times more comfortable than I did at a similar point after my cervical fusion. At one point he turned his head all the way to one side to look at something. You aren't supposed to drive for a period of time after that surgery largely because the inability to turn your head makes for dangerous driving. For what he went through I thought he looked terrific. Fluid and comfortable.

And for those who insisted otherwise - "Look Mom, no neck brace".
