  1. The media is abusing Twitter as a substitute for real news coverage. IMO, less and less real investigative journalism going on these days.

Perhaps this is just more pandering to 'what they think we want to hear'...............if there are 45 million people on twitter............then perhaps that's what they think we want to hear on the news.

Part of the trend of news becoming entertainment.

And maybe there are a lot of people who actually do prefer that.

I hope that we as a people are not getting what we asked for.

It's cause Brett has BALLS OF STEEL and nuts are hard to crack. Very clever, Mr. Irsay...

Yea that's the problem with the Internet. It's made things too fast too quick. People are getting lazy and taking shortcuts.

  2. I'm kind of astounded at the number of media and fans that have run wild with speculation. that's one powerful twitter account!

Holy cow! colts fandom is all a 'twitter'

Creates a bit of housekeeping here but, overall, I think the whole thing is fun to watch. Maybe the media should call Peyton and ask him.

Anyone seen him talking to anyone lately? Mr. Mystery Man.....these days.

  3. Thanks for the feedback. I agree, at times we can make a better first impression on new members.

    Glad you will stick around!

I've noticed and think it's great that people have their own strong opinions. But a lot of times people are really mean to those who have different opinions. (Not saying that happend in my case.) Just thought I would mention it...People can be downright mean on this forum and I've only been on here for a couple of days.

Ok...back to topic. Just checked him out and from what I can see I like him. Fast and it looks like he's really able to see what's ahead of him and plans for it. (Only saw 1 highlight video though)

  4. Good list. I think quickly before #1 is making sure that the organization fully understands the new cba.

I think that is Dennis Polian's new job. no pressure or anything........but he's got about 5 minutes to figure that thing out

With the lockout ending today the free agent wire is going to be crazy. These are just some things I think the Colts should to do so we can make it to the Super Bowl this year and win it on our home turf.

    1. Sign Peyton Manning - We all know this is going to happen so not a big worry, but definitely out biggest priority.

    2. Resign Clint Session - He does a lot for out defense and I would probably say is out best back, even ahead of Brackett.

    3. Re-Structure Kelvin Hayden's Contract - He's in to make something around 8 million this year. That is WAY to much for how many games hes missed since getting the extension and his none ability to press/man coverage.

    4. Cut/Re-Structure Ryan Diem's Contract - He has been a solid tackle for a while, but he is getting older and we saw him on a down slope last year. I would cut him and use the money on a strong guard like Justin Blalock.

    5. Sign Dawan Landry - With Bob Sanders being cut and signing with the Chargers it leaves a big gap in out secondary. Sign Landry would strengthen our run defense and give us solid coverage on that side of the field. I believe he would be a better option than Bullitt.

    6. Sign Barry Cofield/Tommie Harris - Either/or. Either one of them would help us plug up the middle and get backs to bounce to the outside for out speedy linebackers to close in. I think Cofield would be the best option for that, but he would ask for money than Harris would. But either would improve out situation.

    7. Resign Charlie Johnson - We could get him cheaper than most other tackles on the market and could fit into RT.

    8. Sign a Guard - Like a said, we should use the money that we get from Diem to sign a better guard. Then we have Costanzo at LT, Igalana at LG, Saturday at C, Signed Guard, Johnson at RT.

Minus staying healthy, I think this would greatly improve the team and help them get to the Super Bowl and win it all at Lucas Oil. although most likely not all of this will happen, but I'm hoping at least some of it will to help clean up some of our weaknesses on defense and offense.

  5. Aside from all the who's better then who talk

It seems to me that both Mr. and Mrs. Kraft made sacrificies for this CBA that were extremely difficult to make

and that most of us likely would not make.

It is sobering.......particularly in the face of all the fighting over $

The game owes them a debt that can never be repaid.

They must have really loved this game

  6. sounds like an awesome event and very important to the city.

However, the lockout cost a number of people their jobs........and entire businesses that were related to the NFL went under.

So Canton is not alone. Just perhaps the most visible.

It is a testament to the financial impact the NFL has.

When things are going well, everyone (well, most everyone) is happy.

Right now, I'm sure a number of training camp towns are breathing a huge sigh of relief

  7. I don't think Jim actually knows. There has been no communication allowed between team personnel and players whatsoever.

So, I think what he is saying is that, he was fine before, I expect he'll be fine now.

Probably true but, be nice to hear from the team doc
