They keep saying it will be for 8-10 years, like that's a good thing.
10 years feels to soon to do this again.

The Help Link (upper right) has info about the +/-
or click here: http://www.colts.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=help
It is mostly a way to vote up posts that you like and has a score attached to it.
We are open to feed back on it and may make changes as the season progresses
Out of respect for these ^ wishes, only, I'll not make any further direct reply in this thread beyond this post. My issues with Andy date back to the old board for reasons he is aware of. Conversation over.
As far as rep plus/minus is concerned....I honestly couldn't care less about the function as it relates to "defining" my presence here, unless it would hamper my access or the like. If that's not the case then anyone caring to minus me, even on a regular/daily basis for no particular reason - indulge yourself. If the rep plus/minus is meaningful beyond superficial appearance please direct me to the guidelines or provide me a detail here or behind the scenes so I'll be aware of the parameters - thanks in advance.

Just stopping by for my virtual doughnut with my coffee. Sounds like you know about an EVEN BETTER doughnut!
wow u guys need to expand your doughnut horizon. krispy kreme is an insult to doughnuts and DD isn't much better than your typical supermarket.
-
Well, maybe this is just because he needs to get official team clearance before he can participate in practice
-
Very sad. An Impressive woman.
My sympathies to the family
-
Yeah! @everybodysgotone is giving away donuts again!
I am not concerned because many teams are worse off than we are.
But I do think things may be a bit ugly
-
So, they don't want to be tied to one year contracts? They want long term deals.
Anybody would give them money and buckets of it. But the length of the contract might be another issue.
Esp considering nobody really knows how manning's neck is.

Rich, I am so sorry.

I agree that there are built in consequences.
I just keep thinking of a regular person getting called out at work for something that did not happen at work.
I realize that the NFL is different and actually I think that's a good thing.
I just wonder sometimes if we are possibly too intolerant of judgement lapses.
These young players know the game. Not referring to the game of football, but the game of endorsements and fan perception. They are well versed by agents and others in their camp to realize what is expected of them.
Players make a decision as to whether or not they will cater to endorsements. Take "sticky" Ricky Williams for example. A great running back that quit in his prime because he wanted to smoke pot. Literally stating this outright. He came back but endorsements are going to be limited to local area used car dealerships. Here we have a player that sticks one foot in the gutter, one fist in the goal. He had his cake and ate it too. A bad bad bad example for kids whom have learned a fowl lesson. In practice, one rarely gets away with this sort of duality.

I hear you jagged but it feels a bit nanny-state-ish to me.
Too me, other things are far more indicative of character, for example not paying child support.
Certainly DUI
Actua;ly, 6 in one year is the point that stands out to me. I feel it does bear watching as players need to be held more accountable before they make dumb decisions and hopefully it will result in less situations arising such as these. I mean I am twice the age of these Colts players and when i was their age, I never had any of the issues the 6 players we are discussing did. If I can stay out of trouble, why not them? We need to stop lowering the bar and make the Colts players step up and over it. Just my .02.

I am glad I had daughters. My brothers and my dad all played football.
My dad does have a memory problem now although whether it is due to football or other issues is not clear.
All I know is, this is something to be avoided.

I'm not concerned, me thinks stampede blue is making much ado about ........well you know.
It's been a tough off season for colts football bloggers.

You think it was a leak? The author doesn't say how he knows what he is saying. I was assuming he had a psychic vision
It's just a smokescreen leaked by the front office to counter Bill's brag about Hughes last spring. If he's good enough, he'll get his shot sooner rather than later.

The article didn't say what the 'disturbance' was.
This doesn't sound like a big deal to me. It's not like he was driving or anything.
Drinking is legal........drinking too much happens,
Only difference for these guys is when they do that, it's national news.
I don't think it's any reflection on his potential as a player
-
never thought of this. I hope not
Lets face it , he cant possibly be as ready as others as must be mentally exhausted from all these negations and how can he fly to wear ever colts are practicing to participate, not just for him but to r teach new rookies that are there supposedly the blocking schems
-
What choice do we all have? There's a lot to do to get ready for the season. They better get that CBA SIGNED PRONTO!
-
I'll have to catch that. Reminds me of those old Michael Jordan/Larry Bird commercials
-
I don't know what to think. For the past 3 weeks it's been nothing but unnamed sources.
for some reason, this a.m. the building pressure to get things signed is reminding me of a song from Little Shop of Horrors
They say the meek shall inheritYou know the book doesn't lie
It's not a question of merit
It's not demand and supply
You'll make a fortune, we swear it
if on this fact you rely
You know the meek are gonna get
What's comin' to 'em
By and by
-
how does the unnamed player know who the unnamed sources are?
sheesh
-
Funny coincidence
@IndyNick, funny!
-
Works for me. I always get frustrated at not being able to make enough noise, everybody together would sound awesome!
-
I've been under a rock and have not heard. Where are they meeting? Might we hear something tomorrow? Or did they all take an extended 4th of July holiday?
-
my thoughts exactly........plus you made me laugh just thinking about him saying that. I think he just misspoke a bit. Not something to make a federal case out of.
What's he gonna say? "I'm terrified every time I step on the field, I have nightmares about getting hit in the head and it's going to affect my performance." He can't say that, and he's right everyone is different when it comes to injuries.

Don't you think this sounds like the woman who sued mcdonalds because she spilled her coffee and it was hot?
