Adam Schefter's status on FB:
Colts HC Jim Caldwell congratulated QB Dan Orlovsky on birth of his triplets and astutely noted, "We have had quite a few lockout babies."
--
HAHAHA! Anyone else find that hilarious? We have had quite a few lockout babies. Hahahaha

I tried to get onboard with that way of thinking for a while, but I have a problem with people that only follow the team because of Manning that offer opinions what the team should do draftwise, when they openly admit when Manning is gone they will no longer root for the Colts. Guess im just not as evolved!
Really? I guess I've never met anyone who has set the end date for their fandom.
Hard to take their draft advice seriously if they are not planning on being here for sure
-
Maybe both teams will try to "tank" this game and it will end in a 0 to 0 tie.
This made me laugh, thanks
-
I don't care how long you have been a fan, why you are a fan, or if you choose another team tomorrow. Today you root for a team I love and that makes you my brother in spirit. Thank you for being a fan today.
I agree.......it's fun when the bandwagon is here. Love me some bandwagoners!

Some people really like the Fleur de Lis.........outside of football.
Not me though, I just don't think it's pretty is all

Don't these guys get classes in media relations?

Anyone that actually says they will stop following the Colts if they throw Sundays game is an dipstick. Seriously, if any of you think that anyone else takes you serious about that then your in need of professional help. Just stop it. The best thing for this organization is to lose Sunday. Plain and simple. There is no explanation anyone can give to not lose and get the number one pick. This isnt even about Luck. I could give a dang about him. Its just time the Colts get the chance to get some excellent draft picks to restock this depleated team. Lets not forget that the reason this team started getting great players is because we sucked for so long. We were able to select premium players at the draft. Its been too long since we have been in a position to have a top notch draft. Lets not >>> that up over 1 game. This is a team that didnt play their starters the last game and a half when we were undefeated. I dont want to hear about this team caring about wins and loses then.
First, will people please stop calling each other names?
Second, everybody here is a fan. If they were not, they would not be posting
Heck my own brother stopped watching Colts games this season because they depressed him. I still think he's a fan though
-
Sorry Ruksak. The hoopla is really only coming from the 'goody two shoes real fans' who want us shameful, self centred pretend fans to quit supporting this ball club.
Whilst all we want is a quiet loss to take us to the top of the programme at Radio City in April.
People can say im a terrible fan if they want,
People can call me a sappy fan if they want......it is true, I am
-
I will be glad when the season is over and whatever happens.......happens
and we can stop having this discussion.
-
Thanks!
You could really say that about most any kind of game, but I think things like penalties and turnovers effect bad teams (which, lets be honest, we are a bad team this year) even more because they have a harder time overcoming it.
5 years Tarik Glenn could false start all he wanted (as an aside, who else misses Tarik's weekly false start?) and it didn't matter because Manning was passing for 15 yards at a time with relative ease.
That's too much to expect from Dan Orlovksy and this offense. We get a holding penalty, and we're likely going to be punting.
:lol; this will be a strange game to watch. I mean seriously, there will be Colts fans NOT freaking out about penalties.
-
In the category of choices that could lead to a loss for the Colts
Stretch play.......................we think we are still good at it, but we are not
-
You really want to see the "pundits" and media trash the Colts? Watch what happens if the Colts pull out a win.
I do think that's going to happen. But, if we lose, it will happen as well
-
I expect the Colts to control the game and win by a TD or 2.
That first game was one of many that the Colts could have won this year. It was incredibly close (and incredibly dull) for most of it. I wouldn't expect more from the Jags then we saw in that first game, but we could see a lot more from the Colts. With the stabilized oline, solid running game, dramatically better defense, and fewer turnovers I would think that the Colts should be able to slowly build a lead. If it gets to the point where the Jags have to pass instead of riding Drew, Freeney and Mathis may have a field day with the Jags rookie QB, and the Colts might actually dominate. A key factor may be simply motivation and intensity. The Colts have been playing like its the playoffs. I haven't watched the Jags recently, but I get the impression that they have stepped backwards. Bottom line, that isn't Drew Brees or Matt Ryan behind center for the Jags - I think that the Colts are simply a much better team.
Unfortunately you have to assume that the Rams will lose badly. The Niners are playing for seeding, and that defense against a Bradford-less Rams team is not likely to be pretty. Maybe if Alex Smith has an incredibly bad game we could get lucky, but I'm certainly not expecting much.
I agree the Colts are the better team and the "keys' are motivation and intensity
Will they show up? I think yes
-
I also heard he was involved in the birth, and had to hand the babies off to the midwife to be weighed. One was intercepted, one handed off ok and the other was fumbled but recovered.
-
Turnovers and lots of em.
This team isn't good enough to overcome losing the turnover battle.
As to what would ensure a win? I'll say that if we can stop jones drew and not turn it over, we will almost certainly win.
Excellent points

I've been searching the web for what the pundits have to say about this matchup
All I am finding is speculation as to whether it is worth the win
It is as important as playoff games this weekend in my opinion, so the lack of "keys' to this game disturbs me
I don't think anyone thinks the rams will win this weekend so all eyes are on whether or not the Colts win or lose
I would like to see some of these pundits step up and say what they think should happen other than 'colts should lose'
Seems to me, if the Colts lose, that also leaves them wide open for pundits crying FOUL
-
that is more than a month early. I hope all are well
-
Look for our highest scoring game of the year as the jags fall apart.
Rams lose, Colts win and the off-season begins.
Why will they fall apart?
-
Love my colts, but if Painter is under center, colts loose. Unfortunately.
Jags: 17
Colts: 6
So, if painter plays, colts lose? Any one else agree with this?
-
Colts win 24-17
How?
-
This Sunday, the battle for last place begins at 1 with the Colts @ Jax and the 49ers @ Rams
w
There has been a LOT of discussion among Colts fans and the media as to whether or not the Colts should play to win.
My question is this: What would assure a loss? What would likely result in a W?
Hind sight is 20 20 so call it before kick off.
-
We noticed that too.
He was a colt so I guess that counts
-
Saints, I think it would be like being a vampire in direct sunlight for me to root for the pattsies. I would burst into flames.
-
I would cheer for whoever was behind at the moment
Games like these, my alliance can change many times during a single game
Play Hard And Just Win.

I've begun to dread that myself
