  1. For what it's worth Brad Wells doesn't think Angerer should make the team. If what I'm reading about his play tonight is true, Wells may be on to something.

I don't think he should as well. I've broken the same foot 3 different times over 20 years of playing and it's a very slow injury to completely heal. If we didn't have ILB then...but we do.

  2. Interesting the Colts look to be taking a look at Angerer tonight.  Normally if you are a vet and you play a lot in the last pre-season game it means they are looking at you for your job.  With that said it could be he needs to rep after being out so long too.

well he better hope they don't look to closely at the film on 51 cause he was terrible.

  3. Who?

    Jessie Hester !

Speed receiver drafted by the Raiders as a Cliff Branch replacement. Signed by the Colts (89 or maybe 90?) and played 3 years with the Colts with decent catch numbers (best year in the 50+ range). Led the Colts in catches 1 year I think.

  4. Rayford will not get near the snaps that Bjoern will but I think at some point Rayford will be in the obvious pass rush package and he will continue to shine there no matter who is blocking him. If I had to pick I would say Rayford because I suspect from game one he will be good on special teams (kick offs, field goal and extra points) and he has a history of blocking kicks. In the long term Bjoern will be the far superior player. The Colts should also consider the R C Owens play on long field goals for Rayford.

  5. I think he makes the PS.  Like Redding said, you see glimpses of excellence in him.  Why would we keep him past 75, knowing he isn't going to play a preseason game, if we don't have bigger plans for him?

There were no painful cuts to get to 75 (not one) that's why he survived. I think he is so much of a project that he won't land on someone else's PS either so we'll just bring him back next year. PS is for a player who could play in an emergency and if you can't even make the field for a single play in the preseason when you are completely healthy and especially not on the field for even a play in the 4th game and ruled out before the 4th game......well I think that means something.

  6. That's just foolish pride if that is their reason for cutting Nevis. I hope he makes the cut.

It's nonsense by the writer (I think) he's reaching to impress that he knows something. If Drake's play had been so so to this point I might lend credibility but unless his stinks it up against the Bengals I don't see how they can justify it.

  7. It could go either way they have a good team and Watt is possibly the best defensive player in the NFL. The wild card is that Luck will be better than last year but how much better? If Luck improves incrementally (little better each year) then the Texans must fold to lose it, but if Luck improves exponentially then it's the Colts who will win the division at the end.
