  1. I just pinched myself so I'm pretty sure I'm "real" and as for the Colts fan part I think our superior kickers, our new D line (come on Nevis) and Collins in a role as a game manager who can throw the deep ball and the outs will get us 10 wins (which will be enough).

  2. I think the Colts will win 10 games max (but that will be enough to win our division). If the injury bug hits our other stars again (Collie, Addai, Clark, etc.) then we'll win between 6-8 games. If Nevis becomes a star then the D will rise and we'll win some close games on Vinnie's leg. I absolutely don't see a collapse for this team of less then 6 wins (too many playmakers with experience and pride). Teams than win less than 6 games are teams that beat themselves (the Colts won't become that).

  3. Winning down there doesn't really mean too much because it's one win early in the season. How we win might give it some meaning if there is something that suggests our defense will rise to the occasion each week that 18 is out or if Collins is very sharp with the receivers or the running game is suddenly monster behind joe and carter (like the playoffs in 06 witn dom and joe.

  4. Is their secondary really much better? (because last year it was horrible) I think we don't know if their secondary can cover (and can they generate pass rush from the 3-4) so no I'm not sold and they don't scare me (yet).

  5. Clint is really a big loss, he's a driving tackler and a playmaker but we lost a good player at a position where there are reasonable replacements available (I love Conner and Hagler is a big overperformer when healthy). IMO Joe is the only possible loss that would significantly hurt us. We will be okay if we are healthier is year than last.

  6. For the Colts free agency is about shooting for 100% accuracy resigning only free agents who are going to contribute greatly. The Colts missed badly on Hayden and it really hurt them. The Colts will always lose some good players to free agency (Jake Scott, David Thornton, Mike Peterson, Session will also be very good somewhere else). But when the Colts do decide to keep someone (Saturday, Clark, Freeny, Brackett, etc.) they have to play light out for all or most of their new/big contract. Don't forget the Colts have made many good calls in letting Edge go, Cato June, Jason David. All in all, I think they have done a good job but they have some important decisions to make right now. Joe must stay.
