  1. There is only one game this season i didnt feel good about and that was thr chargers. They always make me nervous and eith good reason. I feel confident abouy this one . But the nfl"experts" almost all picked the texans. Said keenum will throw it all over us. Smh.

Keenum is essentially a rookie with one game under his belt and the experts seem to have a blind spot to that lack of experience. Rookie QB's rarely play with consistency so will this one? I fear the Texans running game cause past is prolog and that is how the Texans always beat us starting with the Ron Dayne game in 06. I don't think they will run at will today based on the fact that their backs are questionable, our run D has shown up in a number of games (although not always for an entire game) but even more importantly the Texans have not been too good on special teams this year and they've had a lot of roster churn in the last few weeks which will cascade to their Special Teams and our Special Teams have been pretty reliable. we have most of the advantages we just need to execute (also Kubiak is not known to be a brainiac).

  2. Ao todays game happens to fall on my 23rd birthday. So for my birthday i would like 100+ trich yards. 40-60 brown yrds.250-300 luck yrds. 80-100 hey bey yrds. Ty hilton burning that d again! is all this too much to ask for for my birthday lol?

Absolutely not too much to ask, birthdays should be celebrated richly (or in your case TRICHLY).

  3. Let's hope for me , u and the colts sake walen comes on strong on 3rd down cause we need somebody to step up and beat single coverage or what ever the case maybe I'll take sure hands over speed any day to be honest

I agree. I firmly believe that there are many routes that the receiver must do something to create space between himself and the defender but I also firmly believe there are some formations and routes (TRIPS) where the formation and route work together to create the space for the completion especially on the short routes but the ball will be on the receiver quickly and the receiver is going to be hit and will have to control the catch to the ground hands are essential (speed here is not essential). I would ask who has the best hands after Reggie? It could be TY but if it is not TY then I think Griff might be the guy and is that enough to make him useful to the Colts if the routes he can run are more limited….I don't know….but I do know there are some famously slow receivers (Steve Largent) that have been successful.

  4. I just hope this season doesn't end up like Peyton's last season with the Colts when virtually all of the receivers went down with injuries and we Blair White and Jacob Tamme coming off the practice squad.

Tamme did not come off the practice squad to replace Dallas. Tamme was a very good Special Teams player for 3 years before he got snaps.

  5. we will see what waken does I his 4th string role should add a pair of good hands collie like the jury is out on walen

If Whalen gets snaps and Whalen gets targets then yes we will see and the jury will come in. Pronouncing Whalen good or bad before he gets snaps and targets is not meaningful. Raymond Berry was too slow, Steve Largent was too slow, the list is even longer of really speedy player who couldn't hold on to the throw or take the hit.....let's just wait and see.....and in the meantime I'll be optimistic based on the record of this coaching staff taking unknown unheralded player and getting good play from them.

  6. no one has a good feeling about this game

I relish the chance to drive a stake in the heart of the Texans and do it on national TV. Will we do it? I'm not sure but having the chance and a little wiggle room if it doesn't happen….well that's a good feeling for me personally. I can't escape the idea that Andrew is a Texan at heart and he's not going to want to lose in his home state….that reinforces my confidence.

  7. Stop me if you've heard this one...

Darick Rodgers, Roy Hall, & Mike Hart walk into a bar...

Don't tell me I think I heard this one…..they begin to argue over who has received more supporting posts in the Colts forum……the bartender says…..

  8. Nothing spectacular, slight improvement in yards per carry, 15-20 carries, but catches 2-3 passes and makes 7-10 yard gains on each of those catches. Beyond this game I think Richardson will make slow slight improvements all the way to the end of the season in running the ball, and I think that Pep will find several reliable ways to get Richardson the ball in the passing game where he can make a moderate gain on consistent basis with an increase in targets to the end of the season.

  9. As said by Collingsworth and other analysts, the Colts are going to play receivers with lots of 1-1 coverage throughout any game, they covered Welker 1-1 even with a Manning to throw to him. I would think that in situations where they feel there is significant chance it may be a pass then by all mean let's have Vontae matched against Andre, but there is also a lot of situational  football where the coaches have come up with keys for the players to follow (based on formations, film study and tendencies) that may go against always having Vontae on Andre because they know that Andre is not going to be the target in this formation, down and distance, etc. and in those cases it may not be essential to have Vontae matched to Andre. IMO Vontae is the best tackling corner we have and there could be times we need that skill on one side of the field or another based upon the play we expect and in very likely run situations. Just saying one size does not fit all.

  10. I think with Pep there are going to be some growing pains as in trying to do some things that worked in college and trying to fit the players into a system and I think gradually he will modify the system more to fit the players. Nobody needs modifications to the system more than Richardson. Fleener has also been an underused talent and Pep better get that figured out as well. Somebody posted earlier in the season a recap of some of the routes that Fleener was asked to run in one game (all little crosses and delayed crosses) and now Fleener must be used in routes to threaten the defense (it's sink or swim time now).

  11. Ha, I am not knocking Pat's playing at all... I love the guy & that hit he put on Holiday was awesome!!!

I know the guy has put in the work to get where he has, just don't think he takes himself too seriously...

The guy loves what he does, he has fun, & you can see that...

    Agree :) he's an original

  12. Not sure Pat is too serious even on the field, he's told some stories on Bob & Tom about keeping it pretty jovial with the ref's & such...

Sounds like a fun dude to hang out/go canal swimming with!!!

Hey! You don't learn to punt in your first year in the NFL, add the kick off duties in the second year, establish yourself as a legimate tackler as a kicker, and  work your way up to the franchise player without some fire underneath the hood. Now you made me think the jovialness is just an act and maybe he's a great actor....like......like.... Ronald Reagan.
