    In general, I find the 49ers appealing. They're a good blend of old school and modern.

    Yeah, they did nothing special. Couldn't defend a screen, stupid penalties, punt return fumble, Gay missing kicks. We stunk.

    They're not doing anything special on either side of the ball. Offense: We can't stop a simple screen. Defense: Minshew missed Granson for a TD. Missed FGs, stupid penalties.

    Is Pittman a good match with Richardson? Unless Richardson improves his accuracy, I'm kind of worried a workhorse type receiver like Pittman will be wasted. For what Pittman does to work, he needs to be in the flow of the game for 4 quarters.

    I understand who they want to be with Richardson. I have no idea, however, what Minshew is or what Steichen is trying to do with him, but somehow they are winning. Initially I thought Minshew would play somewhat like Hasselbeck, but that's not been the case.

    Ballard still needs a QB, and with Richardson getting knocked out of almost every game he played, he needs to keep swinging at QB on some level. First round? No. A little later or in free agency? Yes. I would keep adding.

    Last night might have been Browning's one moment. He could come out Sunday and be complete garbage.
