  1. I am still in shock someone like Drew Brees hasn't said anything more about the 2018 NFC Title Game. He usually is very outspoken. He even went on record saying he would never kneel for the flag. That cost the Saints a possible SB ring which would have put Brees in that elite category regarding SB winners with 2 or more.
  2. Yep. I had never seen anything like it regarding the Colts, as far as 2 bad calls in the final minute that obviously cost us the game. I have seen some games where the REFS were bad but bad calls happen a lot, but Sunday was embarrassing.
  3. I feel a huge bounce back this week. I was Painter last week, this week it is all business
  4. This season has been a crap shoot. Anything can happen in this series. The Diamondbacks got in over the Cubs by 1 game, they beat the Cubs in a 13 inning game late in the year, otherwise the Cubs would have made the playoffs instead of them.
  5. Great opener! Haliburton 20 points and 11 assists. Brown 24 points, what a huge addition. 143-120 over Washington.
  6. No way in hell would I have ever drafted Levis over Richardson. Everyone will finally get to see why.
  7. Pretty telling poll. 14 people voted YES that games are altered by the REFS to help a team out, only 9 voted NO. Important: Nobody is saying this happens all the time nor am I but some think it happens at times, and I agree. 6 people actually vote YES to games being Rigged. I voted MAYBE because there have been a few games over the years that have looked real fishy. 6 for that kind of question is scary. Everyone that voted has a lot of knowledge regarding football as well, so it isn't like the people that voted know little about it. The question do REFS gamble on the games they officiate is almost split right down the board. 8 said YES, 9 NO, 8 MAYBE. I voted MAYBE.
  8. Bucs 17 Bills 27 Texans 27 Panthers 23 Rams 23 Cowboys 24 Vikings 26 Packers 23 Saints 20 Colts 27 - not getting cheated this week. Patriots 19 Dolphins 27 Jets 18 Giants 20 Jags 23 Steelers 24 Falcons 21 Titans 20 Eagles 30 Commanders 20 Browns 19 Seahawks 24 Ravens 31 Cards 17 Chiefs 34 Broncos 20 Bengals 23 49ers 20 - they are about to lose 3 in row. Bears 17 Chargers 20 Raiders 16 Lions 30 Overall = 65-41
  9. I think keep the rules the same except PI should be reviewable in the last 2 minutes, each team gets 1 challenge on a PI call. That won't slow down the game and if the call is obviously wrong, it won't screw the other team out of a win. Had the rule I just suggested been implemented. The Saints would have been in the SB in 2018 and we would have won Sunday.
  10. I have watched almost every Colts games since 1984 and since Sunday I was trying to think when we got cheated worse. I can't, that is how bad Sunday was. We have had games against the Steelers and Pats that have had questionable Reffing, but I have never encountered anything like I witnessed Sunday at the end of that game. Imagine had that been a playoff game? That is a scary thought.
  11. 1. In the poll, I never said games were rigged. I voted maybe but would lean toward no. Rigging games is on a different level. I presented that question in the poll because I was curious to see how many people in here think games are rigged. 5 people actually voted YES which says a lot. 2. I voted yes to 'are games altered by the REFS to help a team out'. There is a big difference between rigged and altered. There have been many games that have been altered by the REFS to help teams out. The REFS already admitted they were wrong on both calls at the end. The definition of Alter is to change an outcome of something. Therefore, the game was altered by the REFS because it changed the outcome of the game. A penalty should not have been called on the 1st bad call, in which we had a strip sack and fumble recovery. At that point we take a knee and we win. Not only that, the REFS then pretty much guaranteed a Browns TD with the 2nd bad call. The Browns at that point had a 97% of scoring. We still damn near held them which is funny. In the Colts/Browns game, I am not even sure how this is a debate after the REFS admitted they blew the game.
  12. I agree with this 100%. It should be a 1st rounder, just add an extra pick at the end of round 1 so it doesn't affect other teams 1st round picks. That would give us the 33rd pick. Something huge needs be done because the REFS cost us the loss. That loss was critical because now a team like the Browns has 2 less losses and the tiebreaker over us for Wildcard spot.
  13. This was obvious to anyone that had 2 working eyes. It still doesn't take the loss away and it was a big loss because the difference between 4-3 and 3-4 is huge when fighting for a playoff spot. We got screwed and just have to take it. SAD really. Fans don't deserve this.
  14. It wasn't just Pat thinking we got bamboozled. It was most of the media in general that thought so. Dan Patrick, Stephen A Smith, Ryan Clark, Shannon Sharpe for starters. None of those guys are even affiliated with the Colts or had a dog in the fight regarding who won between the Colts and Browns.
  15. Rangers/D Backs World Series lol. I don't think anyone picked that before the season. I will take the Rangers in 7 but so far my predictions have been not too good regarding baseball.
  16. This past week, I was Curtis Painter material.
  17. As of now I do like the Bills on Thursday but will wait until Thursday to pick the rest. Thanks for starting the new thread.
  18. Yeah if you miss a week, it is 0-16, or 0-14 if there are Bye's.
  19. You are correct. We both made that rule change long ago.
  20. I agree with your last sentence. Bad calls happen all the time, it is a part of the game but 2 bad calls in the final minute of a game that decides a game rarely happens. Some people in here are actually trying to justify the 1st PI call and say it was or could have been. The QB got sacked and didn't even throw the ball. I seriously doubt he even seen the WR open either. That should have been a no call. The 2nd penalty was so terrible that it was embarrassing. I am one that usually doesn't play the REF card, I think it is a cop out normally and I point to other things why a team loses, but sorry that isn't happening here. Sure, Shane made a couple of head scratching calls, but every coach does that in every game. That doesn't mean the game should have been taken away from us at the end.
  21. As they should, it needs to be investigated thoroughly as well. Not just a 'sorry the REFS cost you the game'.
  22. The 2024 season starts tonight. The Pacers play tomorrow night and host the Wizards. Here are my top 5 teams heading into the 2024 season: 1. Bucks 2. Nuggets 3. Lakers 4. Celtics 5. Warriors by a hair over the Suns. -Regarding the Pacers, I am very optimistic about this season. I have us as a 5th seed in the East only behind the Bucks, Celtics, Heat, and Sixers. I have us winning 46 games. We are very talented with Haliburton, Mathurin, Nesmith, Turner, and Hield + the addition of Brown from the Nuggets. My top 5 players heading into the 2024 season: 1. The Joker (Nuggets) 2. Giannis (Bucks) 3. Curry (Warriors) 4. Durant (Suns) 5. LeBron (Lakers) - I still have him in the top 5 in 2024. My 2024 NBA Finals pick: Bucks over Nuggets 4-3. The addition of Lillard by the Bucks just doesn't seem fair. They now have Giannis, Lillard, Lopez, and Middleton! I think they now have a better overall team than the Nuggets have. Nuggets losing Brown will hurt them a tad + I don't see them repeating. My top 5 players since the merger = the 1977 season still remains: 1. Michael Jordan (Bulls) 2. Magic Johnson (Lakers) 3. LeBron James (Cavs, Heat, Cavs, Lakers) 4. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (Bucks, Lakers) 5. Kobe Bryant (Lakers) by a hair over Larry Bird (Celtics). My top 5 teams since the merger = 1977 season still remains - 1 team per different core: 1. 1987 Lakers - Magic, Kareem, Worthy, AC Green, Scott, and Cooper (loaded). Way ahead of their time. 2. 1996 Bulls - Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, Kukoc. 3. 2001 Lakers - they had a different core compared to 1987. 2001 had Shaq and Kobe. Shaq was a dominant force and a top 10 player of all-time! Kobe was in his Jordan mode by 2001. 4. 1986 Celtics - Bird, McHale, Parish, DJ, and Ainge. 5. 2017 Warriors by a hair over the 2013 Heat. Heat had LeBron dead smack in his prime, Wade, Bosh, and Allen. That LeBron team would have given the Warriors problems. Warriors had Curry, Durant, Klay, and D.Green all in their primes. Curry is a top 10 player of all-time, Durant is top 15 all-time IMO. OK everyone. Enjoy the season. @w87r, @Jared Cisneros, and others.
  23. This past week was the worst week I have ever had in picking in here in 3 years. Between my picks and the Colts losing the way they did, this past week =
  24. Perfect - man you have 63 wins and so do 2 others. You guys are on my butt putting the pressure on . @w87rhas 62.
