  1. I was a hair away to taking the Bucs, glad I didn't. Stroud pulled one out of his rear
  2. It is definitely a discussion that needs to be happening. I am huge supporter of AR but nothing wrong with having insurance at the position.
  3. All have very good to great QB's is why. When we had Peyton and Luck, we did okay (better than okay). Before the Bengals got Burrow (Great QB) they were terrible and before the Jags got Lawrence (very good QB) they had 1 good year in a decade, that was in 2017. Bills went like 20 years straight without making the playoffs, now they have Allen. Chiefs and Ravens have great QB's.
  4. @craigerb, why is that confusing? RG3 ended up getting injured 2 or 3 different times. Cousins ended up taking over and led them to playoffs and has had a long good career. Not much to be confused about. You clearly need a QB to win in this league. What if AR does get injured again next year, then we will suck. As a fan who wants to go through that?? Mustache is just good enough to win us some games but is an average starter.
  5. As of now, you are in thick of things. There is a long way to go. If you want to, go ahead and start the new thread with our overall records posted. I have our records posted above, just add a win to each except Vikingsfan who had the Jets.
  6. To follow this up, remember when the Redskins took RG3 at #2, they also took Cousins in that same draft for insurance. You can never go wrong with 2 good QB's.
  7. I would almost take Penix if he's there just for insurance. Take a Corner in round 2, an edge in round 3. I do believe in AR but having someone like Penix there or even Nix would ease my mind if AR got injured again. I think both those QB's will be better than Mustache.
  8. You are still 83-53 overall, very good. See standings above. At least you didn't pick the Jets, I almost switched that pick but didn't. I stuck with the Chargers thank God! Herbert finally won me a game. Regarding the Rams, I agree because I picked them too. This is what I think of the Rams
  9. They may be tanking for Caleb Williams secretly and will let BB have a shot with him. I think Caleb will be good, but great, not sure. Michael Penix looks like the best QB in the nation to me.
  10. They probably won't fire him if we do beat them but it would be awesome if they did . Colts send BB packing would be the headline.
  11. Wouldn't that be a perfect Sunday, we win, go into the Bye at 5-5, and BB gets fired. I will remember that Sunday and win for a while.
  12. This is true. As of now, I am not sure Caleb Williams will be a great pro. Everytime he has faced a good team this year, he has lost this year. Having said that, Drake Maye, Michael Pennix, and Bo Nix all look good.
  13. What is great is, our future looks a lot brighter than the Pats future. We have our young Coach in place and young QB in place. I haven't been over to any Pats sites in a while but they have to be hating football about now. As much as people in here think we are in a bad situation, it is nowhere near what they are dealing with. Mac Jones stinks and BB is washed up as the game has passed him by. They haven't been relevant since Brady was there back in 2019. BB is 27-32 without Brady and no playoff wins from 2020-2023.
  14. Yes and no. One could say yes, because we have only beat them once since 2009. One can say no, because of the past we have had with them which dates back to the 80's. We used to be in the same division as them before the AFC South was created. Then of course Peyton vs Brady/BB, then Deflategate. Would you consider the Packers/Bears a rivalry? Some call that the best rivalry in football and the Packers have dominated them for 30 years for the most part. Packers and Bears fans both circle that on their calendar every year. To me the Pats are a rivalry regardless.
  15. Downs is probably out this week. I just heard it on the Bowen show. Regarding the Tackles, I have no idea what is going on there?
  16. I will explain myself a little better. I was pressed for time yesterday when I made my short post. Although I do think Counsel has his flaws as the Brewers seem to fail in the playoffs every year, I think he is a better manager than Ross. I also love he is sticking it to Brewers fans. We need Bellinger to re-sign and we need to do upgrade our BullPen in order to win the division IMO.
  17. For me this rivalry goes back to 1987. Way before Peyton vs Brady/BB. The Patriots were very good back in 1985, 1986, 1987. They went to the SB in 1985 and won the AFC East in 1986. In 1987 we were trying to make a name for ourselves. We had a terrible team our 1st 3 years in Indy from 1984-1986. We got Dickerson in a trade in 1987 and had a new firey coach in Ron Meyer. The 2 teams split in the Regular season. Going into the last game of the season we were 8-6, they were 7-7. Had we lost to Tampa Bay and had they beat the Dolphins, they would have won the Division. They had a better Division record. Luckily we beat Tampa Bay because they did beat the Dolphins which was on Monday Night. They were playing for nothing at that point and still won. We ended up 9-6, they finished 8-7. The 2 teams hated each other. For me that is where it begin, when we eliminated them on the final Sunday in 1987. Of course we had the Peyton vs Brady/BB days. As a Colt we all remember when Peyton's Colts beat Brady and BBs Patriots in the 2006 Championship Game. Colts win on to win the SB. We all remember the 4th and 2 game in 2009 as well. I was at that game, Colts win 35-34 to go to 9-0 and pretty much put a strangle hold on HFA. I don't even want to go into Deflategate. The 2014 AFC Championship Game was a debacle vs them. Luck couldn't do much and they cheated. It is always fun beating BB, regardless of what the 2 teams makeup are.
  18. Interesting move. I am ok with it but Counsel also has his flaws.
  19. As far as road mapping wins during the season, to me it is just in fun. My before season picks is me analyzing every team closely and just going by gut as well. My 8-8-1 before season prediction for the Colts could very well happen. During the season, injuries happen, and you really get a feel for how a team is playing, so for fun I like to speculate what might happen. Having said that I should always be judged on my before season picks is how I look at it. Then at the end of the season, I can say, well so and so got injured, etc.. In other words when we had Peyton, I usually always picked us to go 12-4 or 13-3 before the season, had we lost him to injury, that would have changed the whole deal.
  20. To me, that is a reason to like him. I am being serious. I thought that was funny that he does that. I do different stuff with food all the time for fun.
  21. He beat Andrew's rookie record. Luck had a game where he threw for 433 as a rookie, Stroud is impressive!
  22. Those tests are dumb, Dan Marino scored lousy on that test. So right there, that test should go in the trash
  23. Yeah there is a good chance we miss the playoffs by 1 game and we can all go back and point to that Browns game where we got cheated. I will never let it go because that was a huge swing loss. It cost us tiebreakers too. Browns are 5-3 right now.
  24. I originally had us going 8-8-1 before the season but was hoping to go maybe 9-7-1 once we were at 3-3, hence that post. My original prediction will probably be the reality and we miss the playoffs unfortunately.
