  1. All that snark and you missed the point entirely. When average people complain about their boss, maybe 20 people hear it and forget about it within a few minutes. When an NFL makes that same comment to the media, tens of thousands hear it and it is then much less easily forgotten. That was the point I was trying to make when saying comparing the two is ridiculous. Money had nothing to do with it. He made a comment that, to the fans, appears untrue and are now upset. You seriously can’t begrudge people that.
  2. You can’t honestly sit there and say some average Joe bad mouthing their old boss is the same as an NFL player talking to the press about how he was treated so poorly (despite there being no tangible evidence of that to the public). It’s a ridiculous comparison.
  3. I’m chalking this up to him trying to get some attention on his name. He likely won’t be back as a starter with the eagles unless something drastically changes. Therefore, he spouts off some nonsense about being disrespected and proving himself to magnify his name out in the media. Then even if he’s a fraction of his former self, he can parlay all of that to a new job somewhere next season. This is all contingent on him being able to play at that level. He’s 14 games “on the road to recovery” so we’ll see how that goes.
  4. I can honestly say I’ve never bad mouthed a previous employee to the press.
  5. This I think tells it all. We average just under 3 sacks a game. But what of the other snaps? Pressures and sacks typically correlate but not in our case. It’s truly feast or famine.
  6. That’s not at all what he said. Thats like saying you openly attack other posters for having the temerity to criticize players/coaches. Theres a lot of vitriol targeted only at certain posters here. It’s gross and it should stop. You don’t have to respond to them. You can just simply not respond.
  7. While not spot on, I’d say it’s close enough to gloat.
  8. The hit was designed to separate the receiver from the ball. Kazee knew that hit would result in potential damage to the neck or head as that was what Pittman was leading the way with. As a human, play the ball or let the catch happen and tag him down. This game is not worth someone’s ability to walk or even the risk of it.
  9. I think most people that bash on him are looking at him through the lens of a starting franchise QB, which he’s not. He is a very capable backup who very often times plays beyond his role. This season was always gonna be a wash for me with AR being a rookie. It’s been pretty fun overall with Minshew. I hope he comes back.
  10. I get being mad in the moment and immediately after. It was yet another instance of the refs influencing the game. However, rather than being mad at the player who was so far offsides he might as well have lined up for buffalo, they choose to continue to whine about it.
  11. That’s taking the blue line as the true line of scrimmage which is not always the case. It looks like the sticks were just shy of the 49 which would mean half of his foot is ahead of the line of scrimmage, which means more than his whole foot is in the neutral zone (the length of the football). I’ve added another picture to show just how far over the line he was. That’s egregious and I highly doubt it was anywhere near that bad all game. The referee even stated he couldn’t even see the ball he was that far over. The timing of calling it in the final minute, is not ideal but again, with him being that far over, that’s absurd. While I hate the refs impacting games like that, if they don’t call it for that, why have it as a rule at all? And to be fair to the refs, they threw the flag fairly quickly before the play developed.
  12. Firstly, the blue line is not 100%. Most of the time those lines are generated based on the nearest hash mark for yard indicator. Second, the ball itself isn’t even on the blue line (I doubt the center moved it that far back when they picked up the ball). Third, the white hash marks are 4 inches thick, and his foot is at minimum 3/4 of the way into it. Im not trying to be combative but this is a penalty. Petty as it may be, the WR has to be better about that. I’ve never seen a WR line up that close to the line of scrimmage before as they’re usually way off of it.
  13. Neither as good nor as bad as the extremes here indicate. In most cases this includes the players.
  14. I get where you’re coming from. It’s one of those things where you shouldn’t have to tell your receivers not to do it though.
  15. What do you expect of Kermit? He’s been heralded as the new GOAT so he’s gonna throw a temper tantrum when he doesn’t get his way. It’s ok though, his wife and garbage brother will surely have a cool and rational take. I agree, but imagine if they hadn’t called this with him being that far into the neutral zone.
  16. There is a difference between the two. With the Colts vs Browns, the infractions were not really there (or at all). Chiefs, he was about as blatantly offsides as you can be. Penalize him for being that dense.
  17. I know Chiefs winning helps the colts but man do I enjoy seeing Kermit lose.
  18. I would be stoked if that had happened and agree that he was showing promise, but to assume that he makes us world beaters, I’m not ready for that yet. Not saying you think that but the general impression from a lot here gives off that vibe.
  19. I can’t recall but that was a bogus call. He was thrown down by Chase. Chase was the only one who had meaningful contact with anyone.
  20. I’m hopeful but let’s see what he can do before we assume what he can do.
