I had a very similar thought when I saw @The Old Crow was the last poster in the topic
At least the people that were here on Monday got to eat fresh crow.
Anyone just showing up is definitely eating old crow.

Didn't mean to make you sad @aaron11, just jokin around.

One thing for sure, Manning was better than Aaron Rodgers.

I didn't bring up all of the injured players on both sides because I never attributed the loss to injuries on KC's side. Someone else was spreading fake comments.
Don't try to push a false narrative here.
In your very first post, you said:
On 10/7/2019 at 7:52 AM, DougDew said:Well, we learned that our backups can beat KCs backups in a game where the officiating must have been conducted by backup officials.
Other than that, I'm not sure what to take away.
You didn't list them by their names, but that is very much bringing up all of the injured players on both sides.
In your very next post, you start to name names:
On 10/7/2019 at 9:37 AM, DougDew said:Reality check is that KC isn't the same without Hill, Hunt, and a hobbled Mahomes; and they don't have a very good LT. They aren't the same team this year as last, and haven't blown away anybody. They almost lost to DET.
Nice try Doug...

And your point?
Then the #6 pick should be used more to execute multiple blocks on multiple defenders more often than to pancake one defender who might be one 4th round draft pick.
Anyway you look at it, its wasted capital.
If he pancakes Aaron Donald, I'm more likely to see the investment.
Let me get this straight.
You... you think a player... should or should not be pancaked... based on where they were drafted... or how well they've played in the past? What kind of... ?!? This is a new level of goofy, even for you Doug.
You realize the combination blocks you are referring to are on run plays where Nelson is trying to open up running lanes, while the one-on-one blocks during passing plays are usually when Nelson buries a defender and then lays on them to take them out of the play and away from his QB. He does exactly what he should be doing on almost every single play.

They might stop at the Hilton for their stay in Indy this weekend.
But they won't stop TY.
And I should know, I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

The only reason he’s gotten this far is because he’s white and he’s related to a former player.
I'll admit that Reich might be doing Jim Kelly a favor by giving Chad another chance as a Colt, but Ballard wouldn't have signed off on it if the kid didn't have the potential to be a starter in the NFL.
It would probably be the same situation if Reich had a similar relationship with Warren Moon, who had a talented knucklehead nephew looking for one more chance in the NFL.
His uncle might be a factor, and his talent is definitely a factor, but his race is definitely NOT a factor.

His point is moot because his entire career is due to white privilege. He’s been involved in nonesense since high school, it’s ignorant to believe otherwise.
And he was arrested for that nonsense, just like Pacman.
What's your point?

Anyone watching Texans/Chiefs just saw a perfect example of how the refs are playing this:
Pretty obvious PI on Kelce that wasn't called, Bill O'Brien challenges, play stands. Very next play, refs call PI on Kelce when it seemed obvious it wasn't.
The refs were almost challenging Reid to throw the red flag, like "you want a piece of this, too fatboy?"... They aren't going to overturn these calls unless it's Rams/Saints level important.

Bingo, Painter was put in a absolute no win situation. It must have been soul destroying for him as a local(ish) boy.
Dark days indeed.
He's actually a pretty good sport about it. Super nice guy.

Sorry man, you got my rant, not aimed at you in particular.
No worries. I don't necessarily disagree with @EastStreet, I mean, I've got my blue-colored glasses on, and even I can see that Brissett isn't where we want him to be yet.
I'm just an eternal optimist. (I'll try not to be the torch-n-pitchfork-carrying kind, though)

Your posting style reminds me of a former Pats poster we had in these parts, she had similar tastes in blinkers, making bizarre statements and ignoring the debunking of them. Manged to wear out her welcome here, and then on a Pats fan board (that's impressive).
Wait a minute.... we got Brissett from the Pats...
Oh gawd, I almost forgot about her...

Hindsight is always 20/20.
True. I just have a thing for cornerbacks, and CB was one of my favorites.
In Madden one year I traded Manning away and was able to trade for Champ Bailey and then for Charles Woodson. Two best CBs in the game that year on the same team.
My reasoning was that I can control the QB on offense, so he doesn't have to be that great, but I can't cover all the WRs when I'm on defense, so I want the best DBs to do that for me. #MaddenLogic

Hill is active, but a game-time decision according to Reid.
Go Chiefs!

Man, I love Edge (and Mike Peterson and Brad Scioli that we drafted with the Faulk picks), but wow, just thinking about Manning + Faulk on offense, AND Champ Bailey on defense...

I'm not always looking to be negative. I'm being realistic about deficiencies.
I'm not always looking to be positive (wait, yes I am ). But let's be realistic about deficiencies.
Every player has deficiencies. Manning had happy feet and tried to go deep too much when he started out his career. Luck held on to the ball too long and when he missed his receivers, he missed them high, and it happened enough it was brought up on this forum a lot early on in his career. No matter who is playing QB, there will be deficiencies in their game that they need to improve. I'm gonna root for the guy that Reich puts on the field, no matter who it is.
I'm not saying JB is more talented than Kelly, just that they each have their own strengths and weaknesses, and for right now, I'd rather have JB out there. I don't think he's going to lose us any games as a game manager, but I don't think JB can go out and win us a playoff game if we're down 38-10, either. (of course, I hope I'm wrong about that ) He has the physical tools, he would just need to REALLY improve his ability to go through his progressions quickly and deliver the ball on time to become the type of QB that can take over a playoff game. Maybe that will happen in the next two months, we'll see.

I am not sure about that.
I think the whole point of the rule is to prevent another non-PI call 2.0 from that Rams-Saints NFCCG last year.
When a trip to the SB is literally on the line in the last two minutes of a championship game, that rule will come into play more than on a bang-bang play in the 3rd quarter of a week 4 game.
I'd bet we start seeing it used more when the playoff picture is developing in the last few weeks of the season and teams playoffs hopes might be decided by an obvious PI at the end of the game.

If you're gonna gamble, though, it may as well be a gamble for a Super Bowl and not to be mere average.
Yeah, but if your gamble doesn't pan out, then you took one step forward and two steps back.
Why not just stay the course and keep building a team that can win with any QB behind center?

What a waste of opportunity and talent. You have a QB that could crush the opposition, yet you have Brissett that throws for 150 yds a game.
Let's see if he can go a year as a Colt without breaking the law, shall we?
It would be even more of a waste to move on from Brissett, put all our eggs in the Kelly basket, then lose him to a season-long suspension and be up poop creek without a paddle...

It’s way simpler, actually. I don’t think their schedule matters, they’re the best team in the NFL and it’s pretty obvious. Are there really any other candidates at this point?
I see your point.
The Chiefs were probably everyones' pick for the team with the best chance to dethrone the Pats, but with the way the Colts just embarrassed KC in Arrowhead, it's hard to think of a team that the Pats couldn't beat right now. Ugh, I don't like the turn this thread has taken.
Can we go back to talking about the Colts-Chiefs game?
