  1. I brought it up in a different thread about the owner demanding Reich have a meeting with him weekly. He’s shown to have his hands in every decision made, and it’s not a good look for the organization. There are rumors according to Rich Eisen that Pepper wanted Stroud, but Reich pushed for Young. If that’s the case, Reich might already be a dead man walking metaphorically…
  2. Something to consider: in his two starts with the Eagles, Minshew threw three interceptions and had four fumbles and lost both games last year.
  3. Young vs. Richardson A damn shame we don't get to see it.
  4. And that very well could be due to his velocity. With some of those missiles... Ain't nobody catching that thing... I was expecting a lot more turnovers as well. Especially fumbles. I figured with him running so much that would be a factor.
  5. I'll get one thing out of the way. I'm not advocating that Richardson as of right now is better than Minshew. The stats show this. But, I do think that Richardson's talent level allows the team a better chance to win, but it's a double edged sword because as a rookie with limited experience he's also more likely to cost us a win. Richardson can throw on the run. He has decent feel in the pocket. He was starting to make good reads against defenses. He also throws the ball way too hard which was in part why we had so many drops. I guess my point is that more often than not, Minshew is not a game changer, and therefore he doesn't often influence the outcome of the game compared to Richardson. I'll toss out this past weekend as an anomaly (hopefully).
  6. lol... perhaps? Or he's just trying to be a good dude for his young offensive coordinator. I hope Thomas ends up being successful for Bryce's sake. It really screws up a QB's development if they have to change schemes and playcallers every year.
  7. I guess I just feel that if Minshew was living up to his hype (all because of hair on his face) that the Eagles would've kept him. His stats are decent. Very few turnovers, good completions and such. But even watching him when he was the starter for Jacksonville he just... didn't seem to have that killer instinct. That will to win.... Like all backups... he's just... meh... I don't see it. I don't see how meh gets you a better chance than Richardson.
  8. With a healthy Richardson, it would've been quite favorable. With a rookie dynamic QB this is a .500 team. But with Minshew? I'm still feeling 5-6 wins. Again for the record I think Gardner is a good backup. But he's not a starter. I'm really thankful we didn't sell our 2024 picks to move up, because we could be picking 10-15. I feel bad for Carolina fans right now...
  9. Falcons depends on their star running back. If he goes off we could lose. Patriots could be very, very desperate for a win by the time they face us. I'll tell you this. If we beat the Steelers and the Patriots in the same season, I'll be happy regardless if we lose all of the other games. Hell I'll be happy if we beat one of those two teams.
  10. The Browns defense will give Minshew fits for sure. Saints, Raiders, Buccaneers, and Steelers defenses should also handle us quite easily. Gardner can't throw on the run, so as long as one defensive lineman can get pressure and the defense stays in that base form to contain Moss and Taylor we'll be in trouble.
  11. I really have to think over some of these matchups... When backups are in as starters it throws everything out the window. Aiden O'Connell could throw 275 yards with 2 touchdowns and win with Las Vegas, or he could completely implode... I just don't know...
  12. Imma wait until Thursday. That's my usual day for picks. Raiders and Bears... There are so many backup QB battles this weekend... ugh...
  13. I don't know... There's a lot of suckage going on throughout the NFL this season... We're sitting right at 15 at the moment, and I think that's where we end up in January. Too good to lose out, not good enough for playoffs. Mediocrely balanced.
  14. First there were rumors that the Colts were trying to force Anthony to play this season still and get him hurt worse. Now there's the idea that Irsay is deciding for Anthony that he needs surgery? ...
  15. 9-6 There are three certainties in life: death, taxes and me getting at least 6 games wrong every week.
  16. It’s the year of the backups. Embrace the suckage!
  17. Prescott has his mojo back. Chargers can’t stop them.
  18. Doesn’t matter the team. When you commit penalties that kill drives, you lose the game. I should’ve joined the bus and switched my pick to the Cowboys lol…
  19. I’ve heard a few say it as pee-nicks, yeah. But most of the time it’s been penn-nicks or peh-niks. But we’re Hoosiers and tend to Hoosierize our words… like how Milan is pronounced Migh-lan instead of Mee-lawn. And Versailles is Vehr-sails instead of Ver-sigh. We’re weird.
