  1. Isn’t that essentially what Mahomes does? I think it was at the end of his 2nd full season he stated he still wasn’t truly reading defenses…
  2. Hence the roster is decent, but not Super Bowl talent level.
  3. I agree with you. But just to play devil's advocate, imagine that we trade some of our talent and miss the playoffs. Then, we utilize our capital to get important players that make an immediate impact. This team can be a playoff team with good QB play. But, can it be a Super Bowl contender with this current roster? I'm not 100% sure.
  4. I'm 35. Just old enough to remember a time like @DougDew was mentioning where the NFL was more interesting. I liked it when the WRs and the RBs were the superheroes. Matchups like Jerry Rice vs. Primetime... that was entertainment. I don't even know what we're seeing on the field this season...
  5. I was actually legit curious on who you wanted to draft, there wasn’t any ulterior motive or gotcha stuff tied to it. I’ll be really curious to see how everyone plays out next year and in ‘25. I get your point on QBs who can dance around a bit. That indeed does look like the future for the NFL.
  6. The original was during the Titans game early in the season. Then in that offseason he re-injured it in a snowboarding accident… In hindsight, he probably should’ve went through with the surgery immediately to repair it all. But that’s not an easy call to make in the moment.
  7. Nothing but testing over here this week as well. I’ll probably be stepping off of the site more in the future as we ramp up curriculum. Gotta get ready for all of the observations…
  8. I’m not calling you out on anything. I actually respect you quite a bit as one fellow teacher to another. Take care.
  9. 5-1 but feeling unsure with Jefferson now out and Richardson done for the season. I had Archane for a hot minute until we was placed on IR… My #1 WR is now AJ Brown who apparently isn’t getting along with Hurts… Needless to say I think I’ve been more lucky than skilled that practically everyone in my league is dealing with bad QB play and lots of injuries.
  10. I guess if we really want to go crazy we could start a fire sale like the Dolphins did a few years ago and accumulate a ton of draft picks. Highly doubt that Chris goes that route.
  11. I think it’s possible. I’m not sure what point you’re making anymore. It feels like you’re arguing with me just for the sake of arguing. I can say one thing, you’ll disagree and say I’m not talking about whatever point you’re making. Have a good day.
  12. We’ve gone round and round earlier this year on this topic of whether accuracy can be improved. We didn’t agree then and won’t agree now. It is what it is.
  13. @Lawrence Owen has a show called Colts Law as well.
  14. He also went snowboarding... Please for the love of God someone keep Anthony away from any winter resorts...
  15. Or we could've just lost that stupid tie game to the Texans at the start of last year... And the Denver game... We honestly should've been picking first with how bad we were. Bears were just ridiculous...
  16. Fair enough. I think he has the ability to be an NFL QB throwing-wise. Time will tell. For the good of the jury, I actually wanted Stroud but knew we weren't going to get him.
  17. "anticipate a full recovery" I would sure hope so...
  18. I'm sure there are other QBs in history who had injuries their first year as well.
  19. I'm biased as someone who grew up in a Bengals household. But yes. I trust in Burrow, even if he doesn't quite look like himself at the moment. I'm a macro, big picture kind of person. I see his overall body of work and he has the experience to back it up. If he was playing like this in his 2nd season then perhaps we'd be worried about him, but this isn't his first rodeo and he's shown to be clutch and a winner. I think it's way to early to crown Richardson as a bust or a great QB yet. I need two full seasons of him playing to see what he's got. But I don't think he's nearly as bad as some think he is, nor do I think he's as great as some think he is.
  20. He was starting to look like himself again against a good defense in the Seahawks. Was his 2nd half great? No, but Joe has always had quiet quarters. What matters is his ability to elevate the team around him. Let's see how he looks after a much needed bye week. @Nickster: who were you wanting the Colts to draft? Obviously not Richardson.
  21. And sometimes you have to move on from a good man because sometimes change is a necessity. There's a fine line between being patient and being aggressive, and I generally feel Irsay walks that line well. He only steps in when it's absolutely needed. I think Chris will be tied to Shane and will therefore be with us for a while. I don't see Irsay going the same route as 2017 where the new GM has a leftover coach.
  22. Talking about Wilks right? He was so good at the end of last year for that team. No shocker that he's doing well with San Francisco. I always felt like he never was truly given a chance. Went 3-13 with the Cardinals in his first year as a head coach and they immediately fired him. But yeah. The new Panthers owner is obviously desperate to win. In hindsight, they'll be kicking themselves for trading everything to move up in last year's draft, when this upcoming QB class looks lightyears better and chock full of talent. Patience is a virtue.
