  1. in real life, not video games, QB can't get continually pounded by big fast defenders without having a cumulative effect on his body. If you don't understand that then there is no explaining anything to you.

Cumulative effect? Really!? Try to cumulate fast, minus 3, elefant and syncope to get Sinatra. After that try to cumulate ribs, knees, shoulders hits to injury kidney.
  2. That's crazy. Too many hits in ribs, knees or shoulders do not result kidney injury for sure. Too many hits in the same area MAY result injury. BUT even ONE hit may result injury, just ask Romo or Palmer. And it's impossible for OL not to allow a single hit. Mario Williams, Jerry Hughes, Leonard Williams, Wilkerson, Ware, Von Miller, J.J. Watt, Jadeveon Clowney, Cameron Jordan... It's unrealistic wish.

  3. Dear Mr Grigson,

I don't know if you are aware of it or not, but there are actually teams in the NFL that make it a priority to protect the valuable asset of a winning quarterback. While you are busy drafting small wide receivers and multiple pass rushers who can't rush the passer, signing free agent running backs, safeties and trading for defensive lineman, your quarterback is getting slammed, pummeled & crushed by defensive ends, defensive tackles, linebackers, blitzing safeties and anyone else who enters the field on the defensive side of the ball, occasionally all of them hit him on the same play.

I don't know if you have watched any of the games the past few years, but please take a look, crash test dummies have an easier life than our quarterback. As punishment, we have decided that you will fill in at the quarterback position over the next several weeks, and then after your visit to the ER, your third or so visit to the orthopedic doctor and your fourth adjustment from your chiropractor, maybe you will come to the realization that a good offensive line is important to winning football.

    Dear Jerry Jones.

Tony Romo was terminated on a pass play, so your OL is garbage. Try better next April.

  4. You think that getting hit and hit hard on 10 to 12 plays earlier in the game could not in any way contributed to him finally being hurt badly on this play? He got smoked on almost every pass play the second he released the ball. After so may big hits, eventually the body gives in.

In a real life, and not video game, you do not injury your neck by taking 3 hits in ribs, 4 hits in knees and 2 hits in a back.

"After that" doesn't mean "because of that". Basic rule of logic. You just don't want to stop blaming Grigson for not drafting/trading for OL. Luck was hit because nobody was open, not because of protection, which was good. Guess what? Grigson spent 1st round pick on a guy, who was supposed to be open!
  6. Amazing. 3 months ago a lot of people wanted Grigson to cut "midgets" Griff Whalen and Quan Bray and play "big-threats" Johnson and Carter. Looks like Grigson knows a thing or two about WRs. :)

  7. So those two plays proves the point that the OL is not the problem?

Ok, Luck has thrown 2nd INT still staying in clean pocket... and it were 5 seconds from the beginning of the play. And he choose to force the football to Fleener staying in the pocket for 4 seconds... and the pocket was still there (3rd INT). Stop stare at Luck when he stares his WR. Take a look at timer.

  8. Don't even have to watch next game. 2nd drive of the Panthers game after the Harrison fumble snap

On the INT to Peanut Tillman, Luck had all day to throw. And threw a pick out of all choices he had

Luck is the worst person on this team right now which is bad. Your best player shouldn't be your worst player at anytime

What about second INT (to Coleman)? 5 seconds in the cleanest pocket I've ever seen.

  9. Don't post much but have to call this report nonsense. Comparing Luck's time to Brady's is like comparing apples to oranges.Brady's offense is a short quick offense that is designed to hit quick. What's amazing he has more than one open receiver in those two seconds and he has a clear throwing lane.

Luck's pocket is pushed back 5 to 6 yaeds almost immediately and he has no throwing lanes and no open receivers. No question Luck is making bad decisions but to say his OL is performing well is laughable.Every draft report goes into detail as to how bad our line is and how we need to draft linemen to protect Luck. NFL network has discussed this in detail.

Unless I'm watching the wrong games in LOS I've watched Luck get killed out there. I will say it has improved but it was brutal early on.

Luck has thrown first INT vs. Carolina after 6 seconds in the pocket. Luck has fumbled the ball vs. Carolina after 3.85 seconds in the pocket. Almost immediately? No way...

  10. First off. They can't end up 2-14.

Second, you don't bench your franchise QB for slumping. It's obvious the coaching staff isn't helping him. You have to let him work it out

I was (nice it is "was") really hard on Pep, but have you seen Luck's first INT!? He was standing in the pocket and drifting away for 7 seconds before he has thrown the pick from his back foot in a jump (a-la Michael Jordan). 4th year NFL starter don't need coach to understand that was dumb.
