That's not true. He's not going to blow anyone away on a fade, go, post, etc but give him a shot and he'll come down with it more than anyone else on the roster.
Luck can't put the football in tight windows under pressure like that, Andre can't outrun anyone. On slant or shallow cross Andre can use his massive frame to win the battle for inside pass.
-
Under Arians (2012) Luck had 4374 yards, 54.1%, 23 TD, 18 INT, 7.0 avg.
Under Hamilton (2014) Luck had 4761 yards, 61.7%, 40 TD, 16 INT, 7.7 avg.
So Hamilton knows a thing or two about football.
Maybe I'm wrong, but this season Pagano is trying to protect Luck (and his job) to much. Luck can escape pressure with his athletic ability and pocket awareness, but he can't throw to himself. To much pass blocking from TE&RB, no roll-outs at all.
I know, the Colts have to protect franchise, but they don't protect Luck by hand cuffing him. Fleener is not a good blocker, why keep him there? Why not sent him on shallow cross with Luck rolling out the same side?

Andre is ok on slant and shallow cross. Not so much on skinny post and fade.

I meant in the entire offseason/free agency period. So when the draft comes around and you use our highest pick on a position of strength vs the glaring weaknesses that's where most people have a problem. Kid is gonna be very good but will never be a good pick for where we were at the time.
Well, Thomas' situation, AC&TY contract talks, Holmes&Thornton health and development forced Grigson into "wait-and-see" approach, I guess.
-
At the time we had come off of a 45-7 killing with a healthy TY, an Andre Johnson who we thought had a little left in the tank, a promising sophomore Moncrief, two pass catching tight ends, and a more established RB in Gore. We did not address the O line or D line enough in the offseason prior to that pick, and signed a bunch of scrubs to play LB and CB. We ended up grabbing Parry and Anderson but would have been nice to have Landon Collins on the field yesterday.
Would have been nice to have Davis, Toler and Butler on the field, I guess. And I don't think it was possible to address OL or DL in draft prior to 1st round pick.

I think, the Colts have to spent first 5 picks on OL! No, first 4 picks on ILB! No, first 8 picks... nevermind.
-
Bright spot? Luck will not be intercepted for full 5 days.

This.
No more diamonds in the rough, no more stone turners, no more practice players, waiver pick ups, "horseshoe guys", CFL standouts. No more BPA. I know we can't predict injuries but it is a lot easier when you have depth at the positions of need instead of adding to luxury positions considering the lines are more important than the skills positions. A good line will more than make up for an average skills position but not as much the other way around.
Luxury? Dorsett was Hilton's knee and Johnson's drop away from being starter.

The problem is that Grigson didn't seem to be drafting for the future initially. He needed to plant the seeds of an o line that would be rounding into form right now in year 4. He tried to win now and rebuild. I'm sure Irsay was pushing him to win now while Luck was on a cheap rookie contract.
AC mod. 2015 is better than AC mod. 2012. Holmes is better than Satele. Herremans is better than McGlynn. Mewhort is better than Winston Justice... Why Luck mod. 2015 is worse than Luck mod. 2012? Where are TEs? Where are passing concepts? Where are packaged plays? Hamilton has decided to run "Four verticals" all the time?

Cut him! Draft Malcolm Brown! Who trade up for undersized NT?! Fire Grigson!
-
Why this report can't be true? Draft Dorsett for future, sign Gore&Johnson (Miami) for Pagano. Draft Parry&Anderson for future, sign Arthur Jones (Baltimore) for Pagano. Pagano is defensive minded coach... just like Buddy Ryan. Who is his Gilbride?
-
Mario Willams: -2.1.
Jerry Hughes: -2.1.
Jack Mewhort: +2.6.
Anthony Castonzo: + 2.1.
Mewhort&Castonzo held their opposition without a single pressure

Impressive.

Hilton is banged up. Johnson is washed up. Imagine the Colts didn't draft Dorsett...
...oh, I forget, Grigson doesn't have plan B, he always relies on veterans.
...and he should draft Malcolm Brown to stop the run.

Gruden is so far an over rated coach it isn't funny. He took a Dungy team to the super bowl and then what? The Bucs went down fast. The general opinion of Gruder by those players who played for him is not very good. IMO, I don't want a coach who is more interested in lighting up like a x-mas tree every time a camera is looking at him.
Caldwell took Dungy team to the Super Bowl also. I wish Saints were Raiders...
-
Didʻnt he draft Trent? PASS! But like Gus but not as HC
Not Shurmur+Holmgren?
-
HC: Rob Chudzinski.
OC: Gus Malzahn.
-
O-line played fine. Particularly Mewhort.
D-line was ok as well.
PFF agrees

Looks like OL was not a problem. As for ILBs... Grigson has an insurance in Irving and Moore.
-
Is it possible to win without Luck?
How is it possible to win without Luck?
Is Pagano lucky enough to win without Luck?
Grigson sucks without Luck?
...

Why nobody take #99?
-
Who cares about depth chart? It's not like Pagano will play them in depth-chart-order only. As for Robinson... he has to understand that being even #2 is not a given.
-
Osemele&Yanda.Sounds good but I have to ask one question: Why was he released?
-
Reitz and Doyle.
-
A lot of panic about nothing. It wasn't Luck returning kicks. It was Herron. Once again: Herron. Robinson, Varga, Ballard will be ok.
Avery, DHB, Nicks, and Now AJ?

Sign Wayne&Avery - draft Hilton.
Sign Nicks - draft Moncrief.
Sign Johnson - draft Dorsett.
Some kind of the insurance.
