  1. this is a stupid point your trying to make so the only way to get a good linemen is to trade vontae? Or we could you know try drafting good guards out of college

I was trying to make a joke about people, who want Grigson to take 3 OLs with one pick and sign every other FA no matter what, cap space aside.

  2. Because "boring dink-dunk" works, is efficient, effective, and keeps the QB upright. Upright QBs play well, and get paid. When QBs play well and get paid, their coordinators have better odds of getting a head coach gig, and their head coaches have better odds of getting a contract extension.

It surely works for the team, I'm all for that. But Pep spent all summer dreaming of high octane offense and HC job, it's not that easy to throw that to the curb. It's like a book "How to become multi-milionaire...when you are multi-millionaire".

  3. This is ignorance at its finest.  So you're saying it is his fault for trying to move the chains and keep a drive alive rather than dump it off on a 3rd and 20?  Yeesh, with this kind of logic the guy can't win no matter what he does.

And I'd have to guess that you'd be in favor of receivers going up with alligator arms to ensure they don't take too much punishment either?

So it is bad to throw INT, Luck better be throw out of bounds. But it's ok to throw to double covered WR, be hit, but not throw for 12 yards and get FG? Ok. What about calculated risks?

  4. When Luck hit Hilton for 49 yard gain, he was hit. But there were 2 WR underneath who were wide open: Johnson near sideline and Moncrief in the middle. Yes it was 3-and-20, and no guarantee underneath WR could convert 3rd down, but Luck really had a chance to protect himself.

Pagano is trying to keep his job, Hamilton is trying to maximise his chances to get HC job, Luck is trying to maximise his contract... why should they play boring dink-dunk game? It so easy to blame Grigson.

  5. We have to fill some holes in FA. Might as well sign a top tier guard, and if somehow or another Miller reaches FA we'd e crazy not to go after him considering how poorly our pass rush looks. Then in the draft we should go Guard in the 1st, and either C or RT in the 2nd. We shouldn't really have a big need at DL. Btw. We should have overpaid Vasquez a couple years ago to get him and the issue would already be resolved for the most part.

Jones' ankle can't stay healthy so possible Anderson's injury leave us with Okine as a starter. Ok.

Toler's contract expire after 2015 so we have to start Smith outside with Butler struggling as a nickelback. Ok.

Mathis will be 35, Cole will be 33 next season. Werner is garbage, Newsome is invisible. Ok.

Jackson and Freeman are serviceable at best, Irving had a serious injury, Sylvestre is an UDFA, Moore is unknown. Ok.

    Backup QB? Adams' replacement?..

Grigson was forced to bring new 53 players, his work is not finished. And we don't accept "solid", we want "elite". Even as a backups.

  6. We just gotta deal with this mess this season, but in the offseason maybe Irsay will get rid of Grigson, and get a GM who will actually FIX the offensive line!!!. Step 1. Throw buckets of money at one of Marshall Yanda or Keleche Oseleme. Step 2. Draft best Offensive lineman available in the 1st or 2nd round. Then you know what? We have a good offensive line just like that and everyone is happy, happy, happy.

Yeah, but what about CBs? OLBs? DL? S? Do you have 4 first round picks? Ah, lets throw buckets of money at Miller, Revis, Weddle, Wilkerson... got it.
  7. So..

Hurry up O, short passing, Dorsett Hilton and Moncrief on the field the same time... Go figure.

You know I feel Dorsett will be a good player so I'm not totally against the pick, but let's use him hey?

Hey hey AJ, are we gonna get any production today?

Pagano has to stop playing known players...

  8. I don't blame Luck. Some people just forget what he did over the last years. Yes he played bad, but the whole team is a mess right now and it starts with our GM who again couldn't fix the OL for the 4 straight year, who ignored Defensive needs, who traded for a guy like Richardson and who is responsible for several other free agency fails!

Stop that nonsense about OL. They are pretty serviceable. After first game 3 of 5 had positive grades, and this is only game 3. And Luck didn't play bad, he IS playing bad.
