Yeah, it's amazing how much people complain. I know that everyone will not agree on certain things but some stuff I've seen this offseason is ridiculous.
I won't go too much into the fa because the arguments of both sides are reasonable, but the draft has been hilarious.
By the end of fa people were saying our biggest needs were a pass rushing olb and a og, and a cornerback to compliment toler and Davis wouldn't hurt but it wasn't as big as the previous needs.
We grab who some (meaning experts) consider the best pass rushing player in this draft and everyone hates the pick. We grab a mauling og who will fit in well and everyone hates the pick.
I don't understand. Grigs does what the board wanted him to do and it's still hate. I guess the only way to make people happy is just prove them wrong.

I'll say it again, the loss of Knowshon allowed the Ravens D to drop back and play the pass. And we all know how that story goes when Peyton is not able to run the ball. Add in a defense that choked big time and you got yourself a big fat L. Peyton played pretty well despite the few mistakes.

I had heard of him, I'm ok with the Walden pick, and was not stuck on picking up Rhodes .... and I am not psyched about the pick. There are plenty of reasons someone might not to be a fan of the pick.
Not saying everyone should jump for joy, I'm just saying to say this wasnt a good pick is hating. I can understand not being a fan of the pick because they wanted someone else, but to say it is a bad pick is just wrong.

I will repeat this
many mocks like Mayock for 1 had him as 1st round grade & to Denver to replace Doom if fell that much & as an instant starter, does all well not perfect , but rushes and stops run both , high motor guy
Thing is he is a 4-3 player, can he transition to olb is the question ,
1 analyst is qusetioning this and was used as 2nd team who most a dissapointmented on a NFL Network review
I think he will be fine. Just stick with the high motor and work on his moves

I still can't get over the fact that people never heard of him but him and Rhodes played for the same team.
Grigs will never be able to please this fanbase. Everyone cried about signing walden and how BADLY we needed a pass rusher. I guess that all went out the window when they saw Rhodes was still available.

It's funny how everyone on this board hates the pick when nfl analyst and scouts praise it.
For now on, i know if the board hates something, then it is most likely a good thing.
Dude was a top 10 pick until his combine. I don't really care about the combine when it comes to lineman, the combine is built to expose skill players more anyway. As long as dude has the talent on the field (obviously he does) then I could care less about a 40 or shuttle time.
And yeah we could have had Rhodes, but Werner is a possible starter and will DEFINITELY be a rotational player with walden while Rhodes would have possibly been our 3rd corner. Not saying one pick is better than the other, but to crap on the Werner pick is just hating.

Wouldn't use the first pick on him but yeah I would like him on this team also.

Good trade for bucs. Their biggest weakness last year was pass defense and they just fixed that this year by signing Goldson and Revis. Freeman will have a better year for the simple fact his oline and team will be healthier. I think this team will be competing for not only the playoffs, but the NFC south also.

Who cares? We lost the Super Bowl.
That SB still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. We played so freaking conservative!

I'm really getting sick of the Donald Brown bashing. Of course he didn't start many games, they put him behind Addai!
I hope Brown breaks out this year to make everyone who doubted him look dumb
Brown wasn't worth a first, and seeing as we missed some players by drafting him, it makes it worse. I guess they are counting players we actually drafted and not traded for, so I think that's why we don't see Ugoh. But Brown was definitely a bad pick. Really wasn't a need for RB and there were other players that were better.

Yeah, and people cried and whined when Irsay fired this guy. Good riddance!
-
He's probably in some lab studying nuclear physics and stuff like that and trying on some purple shorts
-
IDK, he didn't exactly have a stellar season last year, and he's still available, isn't he?
He was running behind a different line. Bengals line is wayyy better. But bengals might be looking to get younger at that position.
-
If Rhodes or truant is there and they want to trade, I'm going with the pick. It's too much of a risk, 30th is 6 picks away and that's too many chances for someone to swoop in and grab the remaining cb.
-
Yep. They have a pretty nasty defense. But they need another threat outside of AJ Green. Maybe they grab Deandre Hopkins in the 1st. That would be a deadly combo for Dalton to throw too
Tbh, bengals should have never let go Cedric benson
-
They just announced that Dee Milliner is their #1 target. Pair him with Joe Haden, that's a pretty nice CB duo right there. I think they're forreal this year
Bengals are lacking one more game changer on offense. Bengals have been for real for a while. I too think the bengals will win the north.

Gotta love the Onion

Bethea will be more comfortable playing his role this year because he doesn't have to worry about picking up the slack on the run game that much and he can focus on what he does best, and that's defend the pass.
It will be much better for Bethea to look across the field and see Landry rather than seeing Zib or Lefeged(spell check). Bethea will have a good year, barring Landry doesn't miss too much time.
-
Easy, colts. In this case, screw Peyton and the broncos.
-
I'm all for picking a RB with our first pick, only if he's a high impact/sure fire pick. Unfortunately, I haven't heard much about this RB class except for Tavon Austin & Lattimore.
-
I hope teams and analysts keep doubting him so he can fall to us. One can only dream.
I think he's not a player that put up off the field numbers (40 times, etc). I feel he's that type of player who isn't attractive on draft day but will show up on game day.
And people cringe at his 40 time but he's a linebacker, I'm more worried about his first step and instincts than how fast he can run 40 yards. Most running this guy will do is chasing down a rb outside.
Please, I pray Jarvis jones falls to us.

Irsay hit it right.
Irsay deserves a pinned post just like Manning got for all the crap this board through at him for getting rid of Polian and not resigning PM. Irsay looks like a genius right now.
-
I'm glad someone posted this. A lot of people just look at the numbers, divide the years into the total and say "wth grigson! We overpaid!".
We are setting ourselves up to har a comfortable cap. Like the op said, we can resign and buy for years to come. And the BEST thing is if the player doesn't perform, we can cut him without any penalties!

I guess I'd say it this way: I'd trade the potential of Luck's next 10+ years for the certainty of Rodgers next 5 years.
Debateable, but understandable. lol
Colts select Khaled Holmes, C from USC (4th Round)

I would have picked Patton also. But unlike most of us, I understood a WR was not going to be picked in this draft when we signed DHB.
