Like what I see so far, only concern is the 49ers rushers, they are running downhill, we need to keep them honest.
And oh yeah, we need to contain the edge a lot better. A lot of big outside runs.
-
Good run! Running game has to keep the defense honest!
-
Gotta start running the ball
-
These boys are hitting. Just what I expect from two teams coaches by harbaugh and pagano
-
Hit to the head on luck but no call
-
Losing Landry is big. All of the big runs were to the outside and us missing our clean up man is painful.
-
The threat of a good running game will elevate Luck to a higher level.
And protect him. I think this was an alternative move. I think since we couldn't get our hands on a lineman, our next step was to get our hands on a back that could keep defenses honest, and mad we did we hit a home run with that. 35$ mill to spend next year and I see this line being improved.
-
The last year they went to the playoffs was our Superbowl winning year, correct?
, remember Dante hall?
-
I think we're a "In the hunt Wild Card" Team. Meaning, we're not definite picks for the playoffs, but if the ball bounces our way a couple of games, we are in the playoffs.
This team is being built right. We have playmakers, now we need to provide depth and keep filling holes with quality players, not necessarily studs, but guys who will flourish when they play next to our studs. For example, how DHB and TY have flourished playing next to Reggie.
-
I'm more comfortable with Luck throwing the ball 30 times a game than throwing the ball 40-50 times a game. Balance is the game.
-
Well he did essentially shut down Cameron Wake last week
Yeah he did. I'm a Cherilus supporter. I want to see consistency. I will say, shutting down a top 3, if not THE best DE in the league is a good start. lol Hey he's ranked 90 on madden lol
-
We also could save 7 mil by cutting Walden and possibly Redding(if he continues to decline and Hughes improve). Alex Mack is a pro bowl C i think he'll be on the top of Grigson list to sign.
I don't see us getting rid of Redding. He has some type of leadership here and is productive, but the Walden move I can see happening if Werner continues to show up.

We still have our 2nd, 3rd round picks and 35 mil in cap space next year. With players like Alex Mack, Jeremy Macklin, Orakpo,Nicks,Decker, available in free agency. We just got a franchise RB with top 5 potential for a pick that will be in the late teens or 20's, this is a steal.
We have 35 mill next year? So what is everyone freaking out about losing the pick when we'll probably sign (or trade) a big name lineman like we did this year with Cherilus (even though he hasn't lived up to the high expectations yet). I get the feeling this staff prefers to spend money on proven talent when it comes to the offensive line than draft.
-
I like the trade, would have wanted Thomas but Richardson would have been my second option.
Browns blowing it up huh? I guess Thomas and Haden have a lot of suitors now. Why can't the Browns get it together?

Man, dude looks like he is on the out.
I liked Morris too, he had those dudes playing hard for them.
-
Man, guy has played every down since he came in the league, signs a new big contract, and then is placed on ir.
Thought break for a good player.
-
Man, the uproar for when Nevis was let go was astronomical. Now it's nothing. Armchair gms just doing their jobs I guess.

I don't think rg3 is fully healed, I put this on him. He shouldn't never stayed in the media like he did and putting his coach and team on the hot seat. Now the skins are struggling and people wanna talk about benching rg3 when he shouldn't have never been back in the first place.

We just didn't put up points...
Penalties killed some drives where we were moving the ball, poor protection messed up some passes that could have been yard gainers, turnover by luck.
We had chances to put up points but we goofed it up somehow.
-
I think Pep did pretty decent today. Now Luck shouldn't have thrown that pass, the line should have blocked better (even though they played against a good line), and the defense needs to step it up.
-
It has been said in many situations "you are as strong as your weakest link"
Replace mcglynn and others, and I'll guarantee you'll see the line look a whole lot better.
-
Aww man, gotta love the 2000s
-
Play calling, what the heck were they asking Geno to wing it so much for when the run game was working?
Yeah, didn't get that. All they needed to do was to be in FG in order to tie it up and they were right there.

Speaking of Dallas Clark here's some numbers: Dallas by year 1) 10 starts 29 rec. 340 yards/ 2) 13 starts 25 rec. 423 yards/ 3) 37 rec. 488 yards/ 4) 30 rec. 367 yards 5) 58 rec. 616 and 11 tds. Dallas had 2 more great years after that where he was definitely one of the best receiving TE's in football but it took him til year 5 to break out.
We have to give him a bit of break here. It takes time for players to find their way in the NFL sometimes.
Yeah, I'm patient with Fleener and I think being with Luck and Pep will do wonders. It's just I'm concerned on how we are using him.
