  1. I think both Grigs and Pagano are back next year at the least.....this past draft class probably saved Grigson. Plus the O line has really made strides the last half of the season so far. If they can somehow have some consistent health it would be even better.

What are you guys seeing?  I have not had a chance to rewatch any gaes in quite a while but the times I focused onAC yesterday he was pretty much man handling Clowney.  He had the one holding call but pretty much I think AC has been the Colts best oline over the past few weeks (I did not see the Steelers game at all so my opinion is not based on anything in that game)

I will say this, over the last 5 games the Colts have given up 9 sacks.....That's an average of 1.8 per game which would average to about 28 sacks for the year. Compared to about the 30+ they gave up over the first 8 games, that's a marked improvement and would put them in the bottom third for sacks given up in a season.

The Giants have proved this year that strategic big splashes can drastically improve the defense. If the current staff is in place this will never happen but here is what I would do.

Resign Doyle to a 3-4 year deal

Resign Butler to a 1-2 year deal

Walden if hes cheap maybe 2 more years, if he wants too much boot him

Sign either Gilmore, Chandler Jones, and Ron Leary and draft an ILB with the first pick. Or sign Gilmore, Poe, and Leary and draft an OLB with the first pick.

how has Poe been this year? I know he's been a game wrecker the past few years.

He looks to be a good starter for many years to come. Barring major injury he should be one of the anchors on this line going forward. Is he gonna be an all time great? I doubt it but he looks good enough in his first year to have a good long career and I'd say he has Jeff Saturday potential and that's not bad at all. Say what you want about whether it was a value pick but for the Colts at that particular point I think it was a must have pick.

and really what more could you ask for a mid first round pick?  He's a plug and play player and now it's one less position you have to worry about and will only get better.
