  1. I'm inclined to give Monachino some time. I mean this was his first year as a DC and probably knew going in that there wasn't going to be much in the way of a pass rush and really good LB's at that....let's see what he can do when(if) they're able to upgrade the pass rush and linebackers. Once those are in place, we could see a big increase in defensive efficiency. Even if the team just goes up to average defense wise, the offense could more than offset that.

Pats are a clear example of where coaching maximizes talent way better than any team in the league.

Their O - no first round draft picks, their OL is very well coached by Dante Scarnecchia, the best OL coach around, IMO. Then their D is put in good position for what they can do best by the coaches. Josh McDaniels is the best at scheming guys open and exploiting match ups for his O. Tom Brady is the best at execution.

I still stand by the fact that he is their MVP....remember when he retired last year? Brady got killed....now he's back and the great wall of Brady has returned.

I really don't think it matters who we hire if he doesn't get to the SB or wins a SB. Most people in here would bash him as well IMO. Chuck went 11-5 his first 3 seasons and got us to the Championship Game and now some in here think he is the worse Coach ever because of two 8-8 seasons.

    that's called spoiled fan base.

  4. I still stand by that they knew this was kind of a reset year so chances are nothing will happen this year. Doesn't mean it won't happen, just probably not likely. The 2013 offseason and draft really set the team back( though I think that draft set a lot of teams back) it was that bad for the most part.

The last 2 drafts really got some good potential foundation pieces going forward and I can see Grigaon really hammering the D in this draft like he hit the O line this past one. Luckily this draft is deep in the Colts biggest weakness, pass rush.

Now if Irsay keeps things as is and next season there's no noticeable improvement I can see a house cleaning.

No absolutely freaking not. Time to draft defensive starters! Maybe get a playmaker on D finally.

IF there's a defensive player available with equal or greater value when the Colts pick then I agree.
