  1. This is true, Jameson Williams the Lions receiver bet on College. Which is allowed, however he did it from the team facility which is not allowed.
  2. Its not that hypocritical. Its not that complicated either. The NFL is partnered with these sports books because at this point its probably one of their highest sources of revenue outside of the tv deals. Whether you like it or not (I personally dont). Its a part of all sports across North America now. The rules are simple. The gambling is for the fans and that is it. If you are a part of a team you dont gamble, black and white. Theres already a large faction of people who think the NFL is fixed to an extend. The NFL doesn't need team members betting on games to further that narrative. Thats why they take it so seriously and players get longer bans for gambling then beating their wife. If its found that Rogers bet on the Colts to lose I have no doubt he will get a lifetime ban and used as an example for future players. Probably why its taking so long because they are considering this. Also if your dumb enough to throw away a multi million dollar career playing sport just for a couple $100 bets then I dont want you on this team and you deserve whatever you get.
  3. I think the fact that its dragging out for so long means one of two things or possibly both 1- The NFL is strongly considering a lifetime ban 2- They are looking into more players being involved.
  4. It really depends on whether or not the trajectory of this team has changed with the RIchardson pick. For a team on an upward trajectory you want to see us going from bad to mediocre. That means we are improving. However for a team thats on a downward trajectory mediocre is the absolute worst place to be, not good enough to make playoffs and not bad enough for high draft picks. Obviously it will be impossible to tell the trajectory of this team till we know if Richardson is for real or not.
  5. Second this. Nothing against him for retiring but the timing of it 2 weeks before the season or whatever it set the organization back years.
  6. If its found that he bet on the Colts to lose games he will probably get a life ban. Ridley bet on the Falcons to win, he was a superstar way beyond Rogers and he got a year,
  7. He done. Theres go our best and most veteran corner lol. Damn
  8. Im optimistic for the future but maybe not this year. Everyone picked us to win the division off the basis that our players were going to play good. They didn't. Thats why we won 4 games. I think you would need to see a huge bounce back from a lot of players, Mainly the offense. Also AR the guy who has only ever played 13 games would have to come in a light it up. I think there is a much higher chance we are drafting top 10 next year than making the playoffs. However with that said I think the future is bright if AR can develop.
  9. Two things for me. 1- Ballard has widely been considered great at drafting however the results are not there, so as someone above posted, I dont care about draft grades anymore I want wins. 2- Also its impossible to grade this draft right now. If AR is good it will be a success and overshadow everyone else. If AR bombs out it will be a failure and overshadow everyone else lol
  10. Heavily censored, filtered and a watered down version of the current show I imagine. Pats is trying so hard to tell everyone it won't change but everybody knows that there is no way it won't change on that network. The way they speak their mind about everything will absolutely not fly with Disney/ESPN. It sucks for people like me who have been watching basically since he started and gravitated to it because it was the anti ESPN. I didnt have to watch the big network bullcrap. At the same time I understand. It has to be gratifying for him to be a part of the biggest sports network out there after starting from nothing. Also they all have kids and wives now. But if anyone thinks Disney will not change the vibe of the show completely is being quite naive IMO. Pat is trying to lessen the blowback. I believe even he knows it will be different.
  11. Best move not trading picks to move up in the draft. Worst not addressing the Oline except for a couple project tackles in the draft
  12. As an NHL fan where with the exception of a few teams they seem to want to redesign logos, colors and jerseys every 3 or 4 years. Please dont start messing with it. It just becomes kind of a side show.
  13. Depends different organizations show different levels of patience, also there is so many variables involved so its hard to say really. Like Zack Wilson. I think every one knew within the first 10 appearances that this guy was not going to make it. Then there is Josh Allen who struggled for 2 years, but nobody really knew. There was flashes of promise and the Bills stuck with him and now look.
  14. I think regardless of the fact that we have a QB who will probably be given 2-3 years to prove himself Ballard is still on the hot seat. The facts are is that its a results driven league and since the Rivers season we have steadily gotten worse. If we dont see improvement it could spell the end for Ballard.
  15. Lol just wait till TY brings up Zion Williamson double fisting Mcflurries for breakfast or Connor eludes to some vile crap happening on the internet somewhere. Disney is going to come down hard on all that kind of stuff.
  16. I dont know man, going to Disney I would expect all the lewd convo, controversial convo, lewd jokes, anything political, and the off sports conversations to be gone. Maybe im wrong though. Hoping I am for the people who are staying on board.
  17. Yah I think a lot of people are giving it a chance, hoping for the best but preparing for the worst. I stopped watching all the major networks a long time ago though and not going to start again just to stay with Pat. I had a good 4 year run with the show. Secretly im hoping it doesn't go the way Pat wants and he backs out haha.
  18. Thanks ill check them out. Yup, no more political jokes, no more lewd content, no more swearing, no more controversial topics. No more off topic conversations that have nothing to do with sports. No more guests not affiliated with ESPN. I dont blame them though, they all have wives and kids now. Whats the thing all the golf players said when they caught crap for signing with LIV "Less work more money" haha. It was the greatest sports show while it lasted.
  19. Regarding Bring the Juice, I agree they don't always sounds like they really know what they are talking about. They are a pure fan perspective. They put out a lot of vids and its kind of fun to just listen to pure fan talk once in awhile. Kind of like this forum the homerism and lacking of an unbiased objective opinion annoys me the most.
  20. I dont know if we get the #1 pick how do you pass on Caleb Williams. A guy everyone is saying is the best QB prospect since Luck. Not sure you can do that unless AR has proven with no shadow of a doubt he will be an elite QB at the NFL level.
  21. Haha yes I am certainly aware of that. Im just looking for Colts podcasts though. His show was 3 hours everyday I listened to at work. Have to fill those 3 hours with some new content now.
  22. Ok maybe he didn't sell out for more money, I dont know the details about that. But the show is going to daytime ESPN TV, a company owned by disney. Its going to unrecognizable. Half the stuff they say will not fly on that network. By sold out I meant he went to a major network when the majority of his fans found him originally because he was the opposite of the major networks.
  23. Hey guys, so Pat sold out to ESPN. So happy for him and the boys getting a huge bag of money. But for me and many many others the reason I gravitated to his show was because it was not ESPN. Its never going to be the same. I won't be listening any longer. So I need to find some new podcasts to fill the void. Whats everyones favorite Colts podcast on youtube? Already listen to the Bring the Juice guys btw. Thanks have a great summer everyone.
  24. His exact words are. "We drafted AR for what we think he can become." "Is it going to be pretty at first, probably not"
  25. Yah I dont know as we as Colts fans know very well the success of your team depends entirely on how well the QB plays. I think Ballards exact words in the interview were. "Were drafting AR for what he can become, its not going to be pretty at first". So if the GM is saying it and fans have the same train of thought. I think its likely a reality.
