Mentally yes, but some guys that sit regress physically as they don't get any reps. Now if they are working with somebody off to the side to improve their flaws that is different. I think there advantages to playing them early so you know if you have the right guy or not and can cut your losses if they aren't, but if they are sitting most of rookie contract you run the risk of having to pay them a second contract without knowing if they can play.

I agree. Richardson is flashing mad potential. Granted he still has his fair share of doubters particularly Stat watchers who don't watch the game to gain context.

The qbs that sit are usually because they can't handle the adversity of being in the fire right away. Richardson has shown he can handle adversity. You don't sit a guy that shows that.

Based on performance 11 qbs have been better than Lawrence so far this year. Lamar Jackson, Brock purdy,baker mayfield,Goff, mahomes,Josh Allen,cousins, cj stroud,Russell wilson,Tua, herbert.

Because he needs experience. Can't get that from sitting. Nobody learns from sitting. Rodgers and mahomes were still working out on the side. In Richardson case he looks good enough to start and start he shall.

Winning division depends on a few key games. Steelers, jags, and texans rematches are key for tie breaking purposes. Beating the Titans and patriots will help as well.

The reason I give the Texans the advantage is because colts face jags in Jacksonville, patriots, and steelers. Historically we have struggled versus all three seemingly always choking versus steelers

Jags already won first london game and have the advantage over the bills since they are there two consecutive weeks. Stroud would have worked better in frank Reich system

Texans have a cake walk schedule. Considering they smoked the jags in Jacksonville and blew out the steelers two teams we struggle with. Then they have the falcons, saints, buc, panthers, broncos jets browns cardinals bengals. I Wouldn't be surprised if they won the division.

Andrew Luck his rookie season had 12 games during the regular season below 60 percent completion. 5 of those games were in the 40s for completion percentage. He also had 5 passing tds to 4 ints in first three games. With zero rushing tds in first three games. Richardson has 3 passing tds 1 int 4 rushing tds 1 lost fumble. If anything he is doing a better job at protecting the football in his first few games than Luck did. His accuracy will improve in time, but care more about if he looks like a starting qb,can he win games, can he bring a team back after a bad start. Richardson has shown that he has the trait of manning, luck,rivers to come back after being down big. This shows the adversity isn't too big for him.
