  1. If being in the neutral zone causes an offensive linemen to false start it’s a penalty. Technically, pointing at a guy in the neutral zone is a false start.
  2. It looked like the one ref was indicating that he didn’t see the feet, but he saw that he secured it as a catch.
  3. I’m willing to give him some leeway on that one. He had to catch that ball out of self-defense lol.
  4. Downs gotta bring it in. That was a real heads up play getting as much of it as he did. I like the kid. A lot.
  5. Now that was a good 4th down decision and playcall. I appreciated that one.
  6. 2 or 3 snaps? Dude there’s half a dozen snaps in that video alone. And it’s not the only one out there like it. There’s been a few of them passed around twitter today, all showing the same kind of stuff. Love him all you want. I don’t.
  7. I don’t think that’s quite the flex that you think it is…
  8. Sign Wentz and make him sit on the bench and think about what he’s done.
  9. Used to we didn’t do much dignifying ridiculous threads like this. Maybe if an interesting side-topic popped up a thoughtful discussion would break out, but these days we have the “you’re not in the building you don’t know that” crowd to come and douse any thoughtful discussions that ever come up.
  10. We drafted a guy and we’re still riding the carousel…
  11. I made him an object of interest yesterday because with Paye out this should have been a time for him to step up and play like an actual second round pick. I did not see him getting double-teamed at a dramatically higher rate than anyone else. He just didn’t get it done yesterday.
  12. At least he’s not a healthy scratch every week, unlike some second round picks we’ve had. Yet.
  13. I was pretty disappointed in Odeyingbo yesterday. Despite his delayed start in his rookie year he should still be having more of an impact than he is for a second round pick. Is he going to be another one of those second round picks?
  14. Overall I’m happy. his offense is different and refreshing. Especially after having frank and his 50 year old book you’ve read 9,000 times offense. I really like when he does stuff to make the other team burn a timeout. You can bet teams are now having to divert their attention leading up to a game towards covering any shenanigans like that he pulls. One of these days he’s going to be able to run something because teams will get used to countering the switch but they won’t expect the play to be run. When Shane finally greenlights a snap in one of these situations I think it’s gonna be a real fun play. The only real gripe I have is the way he handles 4th down at times. Both the decisions, and the play calls are often… uninspiring… for a 4th down play call. And it’s a problem because we’re going for it on 4th down at the 5th highest rate in the league while we’re only converting them at the 30th highest rate in the league. Top 5 in attempts and bottom 5 in conversions is not a recipe for success long-term.
  15. Someone really needs to have a talk with the guy. If we were an offensive juggernaut I’d admire the moxy a little more, but we’re still not a threat to convert on a 4th and 3 or less yet. When he goes for it on 4th and 7 in FG range when the offense only picked up 3 yards in the previous 3 plays it’s awfully silly. I also did not agree with the call to forgo the points yesterday and for for the 1st down instead of the chip shot FG. It didn’t come back to haunt us yesterday, but it absolutely did the week before. I hope he can build us up to where we can tote our balls onto the field with wheelbarrows on 4th down, but we’re not there yet. We’re a really long way away, really.
