Well, at least something good came out of today, 100 wats of pure Latin soul have been infused in my brain from a couple of amazing soundtracks

Latin eh? Carpe diem? The original source for this Latin phrase is the lyric poet Quintus Horatius Flaccus (65 BC – 8 BC), more widely known as Horace. The term is first found in Odes Book I:
"Dum loquimur, fugerit invida
Aetas: carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero" which translates as: "While we're talking, envious time is fleeing: pluck the day, put no trust in the future." Okay, I got nothing. Ha! Ha!

I've been into many debates over the years about vinyl vs digital, and this short 3 minute video hits it spot on in the shortest way possible.

I listened to Motley Crue's "Shout At The Devil" album on CD, vinyl, & cassette once & they all sounded completely different even though they were the same arrangements note for note. It's like claiming that a studio recording & a live recording of the same material is identical. It's not.
Shout at the devil!!!!!! Love it.

With 9 seconds to go in the AFC Championship, Moon in the shotgun, 4th and goal from the Indy 5 yardline, takes the snap, TOUCHDOWN. 24-24. OT commences....Oilers win the toss, 3 passes put them to the Indy 45 yardline, Del Greco to kick them into the big dance, and it's wide left! Jeff George marches them down the field on 7 plays and Biasucci kicks the game winning FG from the Houston 20, and the Colts are in the Tecmo Super Bowl!

LeBron has scored 30+ points now in 8 of 9 playoff games, averaging 35 points a game. He deserves MVP over Westbrook and Harden easily.

Unbelievable...Boston gave up 72 points in the first half.
Down by 40 points
And no, I don't pity them for being a historic team and the "worst beat down at home in the playoffs" tear jerker fest. They get no pity from me. It's like when people cry over Pittsburgh's historic home losses, who cares? Look how many championships these teams have.
-
93-1 is the record of playoff teams with a 19+ point lead going into the 4th quarter. Congrats Falcons, that is a record reserved for you and you only! And in the Super Bowl of all games! RISE UP AND CHOKE!

BUT THE SAINTS SUCK. AND THEY RAN A BOUNTY.
Sorry I had to.
But, you still never had "the collapse" so the Falcons got the biggest eggs on their faces of all time here.
And yeah I am sick of hearing about play calling too.
Also one more thing I heard some saying HOW COULD THEY BEAT ATLANTA, the same ATLANTA WHO BLEW OUT THE PACKERS.
No it's true, people are still fawning all over the Packers as if Atlanta beat "God."
-
The Patriots will be the team to beat until Brady and Belichick retire, they really always have been since 2001 after they won their first SB. That team could have 10 SB Titles had it not been for Eli's Giants stopping them twice and 3 of Peyton's teams stopping them. I wonder if Falcons fans are ready to jump off a cliff yet? Up 25 points and cant close, SB Rings don't grow on trees. I am not sure what is worse, the way Seattle lost 2 years ago or the way the Falcons lost.

I forgot how much fun a printer and scanner can be when you don't have to use it for anything work related, so happy my new scanner works in color.

No thats not my real cat, kinda wish it was though. Thats a heap of fluff I could have a lot of fun with. I used to have a real fluffy cat for many many years who died a 4 years ago. She was pushing 20 years old though. Her name was Tiffany.
Bogie has new kittens that are cute as hell. One is a little fatty too!!!

This is the season to have nosebleeds and extreme allergy problems not even 3 days in.

First Sunday without sports and it feels great. No ritual before 12 PM, no constant hearing about Alabama from the day after. Spring is going to feel good soon

Shaky cam horror movies are no different than spending an hour listening to a band where their string instruments are completely out of tune.

Fun note - Out of the Past was supposed to star Bogart. He was locked into a contract at the time with Warner Bros so he couldn't do it. Mitchum was Bogart's own choice to do the film, and he pushed him to do it. Robert Mitchum was a pair with Jane Greer. Don't know how it would have worked out with Bogie, but it's still a fine movie.
-
That's a cool kernel of info about Mitchum there & I had no idea that Bogie was supposed to star in that film. That's for your motion picture recommendations & music recommendations completely. You have good tastes in less familiar masterpieces Bogie.
I'm being sincere in my praise here. No funny business. I swear.

RIP Dennis Davis. Bowie's long time drummer from the late 70's, died of cancer last week and I had no idea about this until tonight. This has been a rough year of losing music legends and great people under the curtain that don't get a lot of spotlights.

Yeah, I'm a bit of a Star Wars nerd myself. CBE, speaking of Return Of The Jedi, that was the coolest movie experience I ever had in the theatre because the whole crowd went awe when the baby ewok popped it's head out of the basket & cheered loudly when the 2nd Death Star blew up on screen. I got goose bumps from the collective bonding session.
I've never experienced anything like that before in my life as a movie goer & sadly, I probably never will again. It was so surreal & unforgettable.

Happy Birthday Jules!!!

Since L.A. did indeed draft Lonzo, I am taking my fandom to South Beach and will become a bandwagon fan for the 3-0-5. Hello Miami Heat...

Sorry I never replied back to you Jules. I am so slow online lately due to these allergy problems. I have hay fever lingering around in my system.
I wouldn't feel bad about bandwagon rooting for any NBA team. Most NBA fans are bandwagon fans who follow a key player. KG's fan base all followed him to Boston, Kobe fans would've followed him to Chicago when he wanted to be traded there. I can tell you, once Anthony Davis leaves New Orleans, whatever team he goes to is going to have some new fans. There is such little interest in the Pelicans down here.
QuoteI got the cat and you got the dog.
He's a golden retriever. Beautiful dogs.
Sad news today with Nick Fairley. I'm not real optimistic on the Saints after this. They just lost a vital key piece of their blitz. I am not expecting them to be really good on the front four now without a key player like Fairley.

Thats okay, I will probably head to bed after this status since I am pretty wiped out today myself. I will get to the message probably tomorrow night when I get some rest. I don't think I can write much since I too have had allergy issues the last few days which is making my right eye water really badly. I can control it in the day with a claritin, but at night it has been kicking up.......so I am kinda blurry eyed in one eye tonight. I been kinda foggy today and had a busy weekend.
Hope you can get this under control sometime. My allergy stuff usually ends in a few days but yours seem to be unable too.

I never feel bad for bandwagoning in the NBA. It's a player fan league usually anyway. If you like Lebron you root for his teams, simple as that. You liked Kobe you liked his team, simple as that. Boston though I do kinda like more for Brad Stevens so is it possible to bandwagon a head coach? And for the Heat I like Pat Riley. Sometimes I even like the Spurs for Popovich so yeah coach bandwagoning for me is huge in the NBA too.
And Popovich, omg........best Trump and politics talk in sports, period. He is most of this 10 minute video.

Sorry about this one. Ouch. But maybe the Saints can still cook something up on defense but I guess based on recent history it's not always too promising........
But you can hope. At least you start the year with the Vikings and Pats so it's not embarrassing if you lose. We start with the Rams, Cards and Browns so if we lose then omg........
QuoteHe's a golden retriever. Beautiful dogs.
NICE dogs too, I don't think there is a mean golden retriever on the planet.

I wonder why? Such a cool team and cool name too.

Oh one more thing, who says ball hogging don't get rewarded!!!!
http://deadspin.com/russell-westbrook-is-the-mvp-1796440682
Westbrook gets MVP!!!!!!!!!
Kinda ironic that Durant got a ring and finals MVP and Westbrook finally got to do his ultimate ball hogging season and get MVP too.
