  1. Baker is still garbage. I remember some members here telling me that he wasn't
  2. Way too many kickers can make 60+ FG now. When did that happen? They must be on some sort of sauce together lol.
  3. The Browns have an absolutely elite D. Minshew has done more than I expected from him already lol. If our RBs continue to get stuffed, then this is the game Minshew will give you.
  4. I like Steichen. The end of the half were largely due to bad choices. It happens.
  5. You can blame coaching for allowing a rookie RT and a mediocre blocking TE to go against a red hot Garrett at your own end zone and with a lead. Just run the ball and get it out of that scenario.
  6. What a bizzaro game, all around. A few poor coaching decisions cost the Colts around 10 points.
  7. Yes, he's the future of the NFL if he can stay healthy. I really wanted him or Stroud in the draft, but I thought he'd be pretty bad his first year while he learned the ropes. Instead, he was essentially the best playmaker on the team from the get go and showed the ability to lead drives downfield, even without relying on dynamic long plays. He was also very good at not turning the ball over while passing. He was far more accurate then most expected him to be as well. He works hard, and with talent like his, there's no doubt that'll translate to success. If he increases his accuracy just a bit, learns the playbook a bit more, and makes better decisions when running the ball, I don't see how he doesn't become a top 10 QB next year if he can stay healthy. That's literally the only question. And I've said this to others, but comparing him to actual injury prone players like Bob Sanders is really silly. AR has two injuries that made him lose any significant amount of snaps in his career so far. One of those didn't even knock him out of the game and he self reported it. It sucks that they happened so early on, but I personally don't consider that to be a pattern yet.
  8. And they also didn't play AR for the full game. He was tearing them apart before the concussion.
  9. There might be too much bad blood there with Irsay, but if Minshew ever goes down, I wouldn't mind seeing Wentz back in that scenario. Teams have to respect his arm strength at the very least.
  10. Okay. I think players getting hurt in the NFL ( kinda happens a lot to just about everyone) is pretty normal. The timing of ARs first two injuries happening early on sucks, especially as fans, but it's not that crazy. If he returns and gets hurt again almost immediately, then I'd start to consider it a pattern. And no, the Rams 'injury' doesn't count towards calling him injury prone. I won't count a nick that didn't stop him from a second of playing football as an 'injury'. That's ludicrous but believe what you want
  11. Lol. The injury that I said didn't count was the one vs the Rams where Braden Smith stepped on him in the TD throw to Cox. He didn't miss a snap due to it and played a hell of a game. If that counts for you towards the argument that he's injury prone, then you simply have an agenda. He played the full game vs the Rams. He missed two snaps vs the Jags.
  12. You just compared ARs injury history with Bob Sanders. Bob Sanders missed 82 games in his career and only played in 59 games across 7 seasons. AR has had two injuries. We'll see if the unlucky start continues, but the 'injury prone' label has to be earned for way more than two injuries (at least, for myself)
  13. We weren't going to win anything major this year anyways, no matter who the starting QB was. I'd say the fact that the 2nd/3rd round rookies (Juju/Downs) that were drafted this year played as well as they did is a great sign for the future.
  14. Why would missing a few weeks put him back 2 years? Does the shoulder injury make AR forget what he's learned in his short time as a Colt?
  15. Maybe those are normal hits in the case of a RB, but both the Texans TD run and the Titans run play were rough hits for a mobile QB that he should of avoided. He didn't notice the Texans DB and got blindsided after slowing down. He then got driven into his shoulder by Jeffrey Simmons, who is a physical freak, with a full head of steam and another Titans DB. That isn't an average hit and I'd rather AR just slide once he notices Simmons is nearby. His injury issue is based on his awareness and hopefully he gets better at that as he grows in the league. Given how well he's done adapting to everything else with the game when most people thought he was going to be bad to begin with (including myself), I'm pretty confident he will.
  16. Kk be concerned over two injuries. His shoulder injury was unfortunate, but I trust he will learn when he should give up on these plays and just slide/drop. Especially if it's a dude like Simmons racing down to get you.
  17. He realistically has had two relevant injuries so far in his career. One that he probably could have played through (and did so for a few drives before self reporting). I think that's not even close to enough to be calling someone 'injury prone'. I think some Colts fans are being way too dramatic about that.
  18. Game one was like two snaps Game two was the concussion. I'll also add that he could have played through that game, but was taking care of himself long term as he self reported. Love seeing that tbh. Game four was nothing. Players get nicked up in every NFL game. He didn't miss any snaps and played great at the end of the game. That doesn't count at all. Game 5 was the shoulder.
  19. ??? Players can get hurt on any play in any game. AR just got hurt in his 5th game unfortunately. He just has to learn when to slide/drop better if someone like Simmons is sprinting across the field ready to lay you out. It'll take a few more times of him getting injured for me to call him injury prone. The other time he got hurt was a concussion. Plenty of players back in the day would of played through those, but this is the new NFL. You're going to see more players then ever sitting out for concussions now.
  20. I'm not blaming Steichen too much for this game. The Jags were selling out to play the run and short pass game. They were asking the Colts to throw the ball at least 10-15 yards. It is up to the NFL QB to take those opportunities and offenses shouldn't shy away from those scenarios. Minshew, however, isn't able to capitalize on those kind of plays. That's always been his weakness.
  21. Please no one ever say Minshew should start over AR ever again. Way too many people were proclaiming that with their chest when it couldn't be further from the truth. Nooooooo. You beat Minshew if your D packs the box and commits to stopping the run game and short yardage. He can't throw it deep and can barely throw medium chunk plays, so letting that be exposed isn't a big deal. Jags run a D that does just that.
  22. It's great to see Juju being a dawg early on in his career.
