  1. I recently found this article  It seems that this group feels that the "Indianapolis Colts" name is disrespectful to the Indians. Does this mean the Colts should change the team name? Wondering exactly where the whole PC issue ends. I'm not getting involved in the Redskins debate, but there is always someone or some group who is offended." Can't please everyone, so you've got to please yourself" as the song goes.

here is the link to the articel. Hope it works.http://www.profootballmock.com/other news

  2. I think it's funny that there is a thread on Tom Brady's new haircut. Like it or not, he and Gisele have developed a celebrity status. The fact that I also posted in this thread isn't lost me, either.

BTW, I don't think his haircut is that bad.

  3. The team is already losing sponsors. Maybe Sterling will sell the team and step out of public view for awhile. He might even be fined. I wonder if he'll have to give back his Lifetime Achievement Award he got several years ago. The NAACP said that he did much for the minority youths in L.A. I guess that act overshadowed the fact that the NAACP knew he was a racist and gave him an award anyway.

  4. I like starting out with the Broncos. This is a good test to see how things will go. I don't consider this game an automatic loss, although it will probably be tough. Last year the Colts won games against playoff teams and lost ones they should have won. I remember that, although the Colts beat Oakland, that team gave them a difficult time. This season might be no different. I could be wrong, but I'm thinking that the Redskins might be improved and would turn out to be a close game.

  5. I don't know if Colin Kaepernick is guilty of sexual assault or not; I'd have to see more evidence before accusing him of anything. However, he and the other players should be more careful how they spend their off season. Sometimes it seems that they go looking for trouble. Being such high profile players, I think that they should be more aware of how they act  in public since they are representing their teams.

  6. I wonder if Irsay will step down now and let a family member take over. It might be best, just so he can concentrate on getting help. Very bad judgment on his part; it's a good thing no one was hurt. At least he was going slow because it could have been worse had he been speeding.

I have a feeling that the Colts' players will support Irsay throughout this. There was never any tension or problems between players that I'm aware of. it will be interesting to see exactly what Goodell does next.

  7. Green Bay and Baltimore? I think Baltimore will come back this year, and Green Bay usually ends up in the playoffs.  Don't quote me on this because I'm just guessing here. BTW, why hasn't anyone mentioned Dallas? LOL. That team has a lot of cap problems.

  8. As exciting as the comeback games were, my favorite season win was the SF game. I honestly was worried about that game and had no idea what to expect. They couldn't have played a better game; everything just went Indy's way. It was great to see them dominate SF the way they did.

  9. This is not the Bronco team I've seen all year. What happened? I didn't expect Denver to play this badly; maybe they'll rally in the second half..or maybe not. I hate to see Manning struggle so badly, but on the other hand, I'd like to see John Elway's reaction.

Not impressed with halftime at all. I'm hoping this game becomes more exciting now.

  10. Slightly off topic but SW1 is starting to wonder if I'm really the only Broncos fan in Madison, WI. All the local media coverage here is rooting for the Hawks & RW.

What the hades is wrong with these local sports broadcasters man?! It's a travesty I tell ya & it's really starting to irritate me now.

Thanks for letting me vent.  haha I went through this same crap in 2006 when most of them pulled for the Bears in Miami. No respect for 18 back then too a darn disgrace.

That's okay, I'm used to being an island & going against the mainstream consensus anyway.

My guess (I have nothing to back it up) is that Madison, WI is Packer territory, so the local media is staying loyal to the NFC.  The same thing back in 2006 when they favored the Bears. One of my co-workers, who is a Bears fan, wants Seattle to win because of the NFC.

  11. Andrew Luck being the first pick in the Pro Bowl draft....coincidence, I think not.

I'm not sure if I like the new premise of this year's Pro Bowl. I plan on watching the game, but it will take some getting used to. I'll still be  expecting to see AFC versus NFC.

  12. Percy Harvin might play, but it remains to be seen if he'll be a factor in the game. He missed so much football due to injuries that he will need to prove himself. I wasn't impressed with the trade in the first place. Maybe he'll be the player Seattle was hoping for; that would be good for the team. I won't get excited about him playing, though, until I actually see productivity from him.

  13. Denver. They are a complete team: Manning has all kinds of weapons and Denver has shown to have good defense and a running game. The weather will most likely be a factor, but remember Manning's reaction to critics who say he can't play in cold weather?

Also, Seattle's defense didn't exactly impress me. They struggled at first against San Francisco. I don't think that they match up against Denver. In two weeks I'll find out for sure.
