  1. One thing for sure, the Colts are getting no credit whatsoever for beating Denver.

Everything is all centered on Manning and Denver and how they lost. None of the media wants to say "Wow, we were wrong, those boys in Indy are a lot better than we thought they were" no it's just a fluke like last year, they got lucky, Manning choked blah blah blah. They act as if the team they pick just can't lose. Reminds me how they shocked they were that the Saints beat the Colts in the Super Bowl, um yes we really were not all that bad as people said we were that season, we had to prove how we weren't "lucky" to be there.

There I said it, the Colts were the better team and the talking heads on ESPN should know this.

Sports media is like soap opera land and this is one of 100 reasons I quit watching ESPN. They act the same way when the Heat get upset. It's just so OMG these guys can't lose! The other guys got lucky, they are not all that good, it won't happen again! We say so! The Colts won, and they are acting surprised. How about give the little guy some credit that they constantly pick on and say they are better than people give them credit for. All last year they constantly said how bad they were even though they won 11 games, now they take out the holy Denver Broncos that they all think are a Super Bowl team and they still can't get any respect for it. Sickening

I agree with much of this post. However, there is one article I read (I don't have a link) that said about the Colts being "the real deal." That they are one of the top teams in the NFL. The writer gave a lot of credit to the Colts, implying how they are an elite team. He didn't seem surprised about the victory. So there are people on Indy's side.

  2. For the Record.....  The Colts have Won every game I have attended   ;)

Side Note:    Peyton Manning has also won every game I've been to watch him, (including College, Indy, and Denver)

I'll be at the Game  ~  I guess we'll see  Who's Lucky Charm I really am   ;)     :dunno:   haha

    TMI.. :?:

I'm hoping that you're the Lucky Charm for the Colts Sunday. Enjoy the game!

  3. I watched the last part of the game. Romo played the game of his life, but because Dallas still lost, the media is criticizing Romo. However, the interception that cost them the game was more of a great play by a defender than a bad throw by Romo. The guy was open at first, but the defense just happened to be there at the last minute. Manning threw an interception, but no one is criticizing him. (Maybe because Denver won.)

I have to back up Romo on this one. The game shouldn't have to depend only on him.If Dallas had won, I wonder if the media would still find something to criticize. Romo just can't get a break. I'm glad I'm not a Cowboy fan right now.

  4. SW! you make a good point about fans booing their team. It is childish; if you don't like seeing the bad playing, don't go to the stadium. The players know how badly they're doing, and booing doesn't help.

I agree that diehard fans will support the team no matter what. I know a Bills fan on another forum who is like that. She stands by her team no  matter what. Is practically heartbroken after a loss (like this week's loss to the Jets of all teams), but doesn't give up. Says that there is always next week. I have to admire someone like that; it can't be easy. Also know other fans who are just as loyal to their teams.

Getting back on topic, Welker and Manning seem to have a good rapport with each other. Although, Welker has been known to drop balls occasionally. I don't think anyone will ever forget the one he dropped to end the playoffs. He does have talent, though.

  5. Very impressive win today. Everything just fell into place. I have to admit that I was worried at first; thought that SF would give the Colts a tough time. This is one game that I don't mind getting wrong in my prediction. This is as close to perfection as things can get.

  6. SW1 Tell us how you really feel about Cris Collinsworth. LOL

. On a side note, what did others think about Carrie Underwood's rendition of Sunday Night Football? I didn't care about it. She has a good voice, but her version just didn't sound right. Maybe too much computer graphics that drowned out her singing and some of it sounded off key to me. Faith Hill did a better job IMO.

  7. I haven't noticed that people are down on the Vikings. Mostly it seems that they're questioning how Christian Ponder will do. Also, the Vikings happen to be in a competitive division. It's up in the air who will win the division because anything can happen.

Hans Moleman, I wondered about your avatar; just was kind of afraid to ask. :)

  8. I watched the game last night. Brady has still got it. Wes who? Brady threw right to Amendola; it's like they've been together for a long time.

Tebow looked bad. I wonder how much of  a chance he'll get in NE.I didn't see the first game with the Eagles, so not sure how he was then.

Josh Freeman needs more practice. Maybe he'll get straightened out by the regular season.

I didn't care for Randy Moss as an analyst. Just because someone is a great player doesn't mean they do well analyzing the game. Urlacher didn't seem to fit in, either.

I don't care for the Patriots, but have to admit I'm impressed. They lose all these players and it still doesn't affect Brady. He must live a charmed life or something.
