  1. Because the CB is the least important position in a 3/4 Defense...and we have bigger needs on our Defense AND our Offensive line.

Well since or CB's need to be able to be play man, I think it's very important in the 3-4 scheme. LB's have each other while CB's are out on their own. Maybe a safety back up but only to one. OL and D is being addressed in FA. Plus with returning injuries, it makes sense to draft a CB to give competition and depth. Who are our CB's? Davis, Toler, butler, powers, and Williams. Powers needs to be replaced, I have never really liked him to much and Toler is going to just as rookie in our scheme as a draft pick. And is t powers possibly leaving? If so all the more reason to draft a top CB.

  2. Some tough losses with Boldin, Ellerbe, and Kruger, but the Ravens just got stronger up the middle by picking up DT Chris Canty from the Giants to pair him up with Ngata. The Ravens are getting younger very fast, and I'm sure Ozzie will shore up the inside linebacker position. Courtney Upshaw is already poised to take Kruger's place opposite Terrell Suggs. I'm sure we'll also pick up a possession receiver to replace Boldin. The Ravens are set up for long term success.

Now just get a few more refs to look the other way and your unstoppable.

  3. little off topic here but i hear laron landry is visiting with the colts tomorrow.... i remember grigson saying that he wanted good citizens.... this guys a freaking murderer ( not literally). watch

I want him on our team. Like an non-injury probe sanders.

  4. My estimates:

    Walden: 3.5M

    Cherilus: 5M

    Toler: 4.5M

    Butler: 1.5M

    Sidbury: 800K

    Thomas: 2M

That adds up to 17.3M and about 25M left.

Just my guess, but that's based on their contract, and for some of them, my guess on their contract.

All if that is a guess regardless if what they officially signed for because I guarantee the structure of them does not come out to the same amount every year. Most, if not all, will all be loaded on the back end and probably be cut before big payouts. Grigson is about competition. I can bet the contracts say that if you don't perform or make the cut, you don't get paid.

  5. Well Ross Tucker of Serious XM Morning Kickoff says that we have a strategy of picking up upper middle tier players. And is thinking we came out very strong in day one and thought we did an awesome job. Unsure about the money spent, but an awesome job nonetheless. Says to wait and see the structure if our contracts before people freak out. Like Walden being 16 mil for 4 years. Maybe it's the min for the first 2 years and then like 14 mil on the back end.

Cliff avril is still available and thinks the colts will make a run on him.

Here's a good read from stampede blue on a recap of day one. http://www.stampedeblue.com/2013/3/13/4097550/recapping-the-first-day-of-free-agency-for-the-colts

  7. your idea of a good fg kicker is one that makes every meaningless fg, but misses ones in the clutch????

that will win you a lot of championships. there is a reason no team wanted him.

Those meaningless field goals won the games to get to the playoffs. It's a shame he shanked on that one but everyone here, almost was screaming to drop AV. Which is ridiculous. There are tons if kickers that dropped clutch kicks, but he was the mist consistent.

  8. As was stated before on this post. Ty led the league in percentage of balls dropped. 88-91 targets, 50 rec, 60 catchable, 10 drops. And was only 2 behind seller in the most drops. Another garçon?

  9. Flash777, you don't have to have big plays to make a big impact. If he catches more balls as a slot receiver in place of collie and gets more first downs, is say he would be a huge impact over Hilton who doesn't catch as many but has the speed to be a deep man
