  1. Round 1 : Justin Hunter WR 6-4 Tennessee

-With Irsay not being able land a WR via free agency, he'll do so in the draft.

Round 3: Brandon Jenkins OLB 6-2 Florida State

    - Me personally I don't believe that Erik Walden will play to his salary and i think there's still a need a OLB

Round 4: Garrett Gilkey Guard 6-5 Chadron State

-Guard is still a pressing need on our o-line.

Round 6: Brandon McGee Corner Back 5-11 Miami

-We need some depth at corner back and anyone we draft is an upgrade over Cassius Vaughn

Round 7: Prentiss Waggner Safety 6-2 Tennessee

    -Depth Purposes

Round 7: Colin Klein QB/TE/RB  Mr. Irrelevant

-Not much to say, but a heisman trophy finalist who doesn't really have a position. maybe we use him for some trick plays

I think your 1st and 4th round are very likely.  I just got done reading about Garrett Gilkey and he looks to be a very good prospect in the NFL.

  2. I don't know call me crazy but I want the guy behind center that can engineer 4th quarter comebacks. The games were close because the team was not that good. Luck, IMO was the difference maker. He had his share of mistakes but more than made up for them as each game went along.

I don't know what I find more annoying. The Colts fans that make ALL the excuses for #18 or the ones that think Luck is terrible and the season was mostly based on luck. 11 wins is not luck. 7 comebacks are not luck. Young teams usually have to learn how to win especially close games against quality teams. The Colts are already there. What you look for next year is the team's ability to play better in every phase of the game so games are won more handily. The team was simply not good enough last year to do it. I mean year 1 of new GM, coach, QB. You guys have a way of making 11 wins feel like 5. sigh...

By the way, when on earth are you going to say good-bye to Adam and get a real kicker. I mean the guys leg is getting shorter it seems every season and that missed kick in the playoffs sealed the loss IMO.

I think I may not have properly expressed my opinion. I am not trying to blame everything on luck, he was a rookie with tons of rookies and 1st time colts around him. This made it very difficult. I like the ability to coordinate 4qtr comebacks, but i would rather have the player that has the game sealed already in the 4th qtr. I do not however think Luck was the sole difference maker on the team. Tons of players helped to make a difference in every game. Davis, Butler, Ballard, Hilton, Allen, et al. were huge in helping win games, games that were put in a sticky situation because of Luck at times.

I do not know where you assume that since I insenuated blaming Luck, that I am making excuses for Peyton. but nothing ever was his fault. 11 wins may not be luck, but 7 comebacks because the D bailed you out kinda is.

All in all I was merely throwing out an idea, one that I do not entirely believe myself.

  3. ??  Yeah 11-5  Cover up :funny::lol:   Luck has some weaknesses , Maybe he can improve , Howabout he throws the passes & catches them & throws an occasional block so the RB can get some big yardage & if he can't improve upon his dismal rookie season we trade him for maybe Mark Sanchez or Tim Tebow they have no weaknesses do they  ?  Maybe we can bring Curtis Painter or Jim Sorgi . They gotta be better than 12 ,

11-5 that easily could have been a 5-11 record.  There was some serious luck, no pun intended, involved in some of those games and some skill as well.  But i dont want us to be known by our 4th qtr comebacks.  They had 7 last year, thats making it by the skin of their teeth in some of those games, if not most, like the detroit and GB game.  I was merely pointing out that there seems to be something weird about turning us into the Stanford Colts.

  4. What I am wondering if the colts believe luck has some weaknesses that need covering. He did have a low completion percentage and int/td ratio. They brought in and continue to bring in Stanford familiars and now Pep Hamilton to bring in Lucks original offense. Are they trying to cover something up?

  5. You really seen the RJF signing like the Kevin Kolb trade and signing???

    Kevin Kolb - 6 yrs. 61 million

    RJF - 4 yrs. 22 million

    That is an enormous difference.

That's only 2 mil a year difference really. And kolb is a qb, but was an unproven. High for a qb like that. Same as cherilus except he's a guard. Pretty equivalent IMO.

  6. I like the uniforms, but would take the horseshoe off the helmet , and replace it with a generic horse. A change from Colts to Kolts would also provide some modern flare.

Wanna put some L33t speak in there as well? Make it the 1ndi4nap0Lis Kolts? Make it modern.. And illiterate. Maybe put some Ebonics for the numbers like 5 Fo? That'd be sweet! Maybe take away the horseshoe and put a colt .45 for our emblem, that's what modern people think of when they think of colt. Your a genius! Ooh make the pants look like underwear is hanging out. Lets change the colors too, soooo traditional right now. We need something with flare and pop, maybe hot pink and purple, or red and black with flames. Change the stadium to something modern with abstract architecture.

  7. Getting burned in coverage?

I know safeties cover, but isn't a SS purpose is to help stop the run or stuffing the short/mid slant/post routes? Most of those passes are guaranteed catches, it's mitigating the YAC where he can help.

  8. Defense hands down. Our secondary is the most complete secondary we have had in the past decade. Corners who can marginalize WR's, a SS that fits his role perfectly, and a FS that has been steady for us for years. This will be our second year in a new scheme and everyone will hopefully be more comfortable and know their roles better. Will be a test for any offense. Our LB corp, looks like a LB corp is supposed to. The D-line is big, and looks to finally create some penetration across the entire front rather than relying on 1 guy to get at the qb and collapse the pocket.

  9. Being a Baltimore Colt and Indianapolis Colt fan, I love the tradition of the uniforms and the horse shoe. I stay the course on uniforms.... :coltshelmet::coltshelmet::coltshelmet:

While I would buy these jerseys because they are modern and 'snazzy,' I want the memories of Unitas, Berry, Donovan and Moore to never be forgotten each time the Colts hit the field!!! :colts: :colts: :colts:

They've already ruined that. The stripes are just vestigial now. Restore the stripes to full length.

  10. It wont affect anybody really. Most rbs dont use their head anyway to spear a db. They're only calling it if it is obvious. MJD would be the only rb in our division who might have done this but I cant recall him ever doing it before. People's reaction to the rule is way overblown for the most part.

I disagree. All RB's typically lower their head before contact to get lower than the defender. The refs will have to make the call real time which will be difficult and mostly non reviewable.

  11. why do you care? stop clicking on it

Dang, hoestile much? I click in it for any updates and then I see a poster of NES 3. It's funny, but does not pertain to the topic at hand. That's why topics are started, to talk about specific subjects, not whatever the heck anyone likes. Unless that's the topic. I would figure someone who is nearly 40 would understand this and not act so childish. But I guess I'm wrong, oh well don't care either way.

On topic, I haven't seen it heard much of Alexander. Found out its cause of injuries. It's nice to speculate what he might have done and what he might do for us, but tend to be pessimistic after seeing a historical trend. This could be a bad deal.
