  1. In all seriousness, if the deal falls through, Irsay needs to tell us who he was going after, and what trade was offered, and also, who was involved. That's the least he can do after getting all of our hopes up. But, more than likely, if it does fall through, we most likely will never know..

    Just like we never found out about welker?

  2. I see your point but when Luck snaps the ball he's also got options of 6'6 Fleener and 6'3 Allen. Plus we got a WR already this off-season that is 6'6. I mean its perfect. Have you seen how T.Y. at his size works the middle of the field? And he always has a Tall option TE underneath.

    Who is this 6'6 receiver you speak of?

  3. The Tuck rule is when a QBs arm is going forward, but then they don't throw the ball, and while they are bringing it back to their body the ball gets knocked out, which under the Tuck rule isn't a fumble.

    It's super super specific, and needed to go. Waaaaaayyyyy to much left to mere interpretation.

    Yup, I misunderstood it. If it is tucked it should be a fumble.

  4. I hope it's not Maclin.....I still have a bad taste in my mouth from the last ex-Eagles receiver we had......

    You had to bring that up.  That whole game, especially the 3 runs with like 1:30 left and a timeout or two before the half, makes me :( , :wall: , :nono2: , :hairout: , :argh: , :cuss: , :tvhammer: , :puke:, and :reaction:

  5. This tweet is confusing. There's gotta be some connection.

    @JimIrsay: I'm looking for Walter,he has The Ringer...the whites...the undies...lotta ins and outs to this thing...THIS IS A LEAGUE GAME,SMOKEY!!!!

    At first I was thinking roddy white maybe but idk his status and about how the ringer and undies fits. It also may be a wr that does alot of in and out routes.

  6. BTW, for everone talking about Irsay saying we're close to the cap, it's important to realize that he said that we're "past the cap cash wise" i.e. cash over the cap.

    Cash over the cap is when you've spent more physical dollars in a year than the salary cap. While bonuses are amortized over multiple years, Cash-over-cap counts all signing bonuses paid out just in the single year (but not previous years). Since we're paying out a bunch of signing bonuses this year, it's no surprise we're cash-over-cap.

    Sounds like that's really bad for us. I'm hoping we don't start back loading contracts and put us in the same position.

  7. not a first round G like warmack or cooper or a center like jones...... no there won't

    But do we need a first rounder. I really think we only have 1 solid receiver in Reggie. Hilton was a speedy deep ball guy and did well but he was only a 55% receiver. Target 90 times and caught 50. Idk, if we move to less of a deep ball offense, how well he will do. There's noone else really proven (more than one possibly fluke season). So I would say we may need a receiver.

  8. I don't think the Colts are contenders and even with these good free agent signings, I see them moving back closer to a .500 team. They played way above their heads last year and won 11 game while be outscored by opponents for the season.....

    The out scoring us is irrelevant. What matters is the W-L numbers. Those numbers are misleading because they won close games but when they were beat they were beat by alot, so obviously they will be "outscored" over the course of the season but only by 5 teams. Colts aren't a fad team like 49ers and redskins. Eventually they will be figured out and forced to be conceptual qb's otherwise they are going to get hurt. Luck is a conventional pocket qb with the ability to run when he has to, not by design. Therefore there is nothing to figure out and be shutdown. He's already beating people and will continue to do so.
