  1. Maybe the Lions should of let the defense take some snaps... good grief!

Da Bears holding them to 7....Bears D is on it now...Even Urlacher showed he had a little bit in those beat up legs...

    2. MIColtsFan

      MIColtsFan

not taking away from the Bears D, but the Lions shot themselves in the foot in the red zone on plays that should of been completed no problem.. you touch it, you catch it...gggrrrr

    3. BrentMc11

      BrentMc11

      I agree...red zone deficiencies....killer.

  2. Still disappointed with the NHLPA, really thought that was a good offer, but after my daughter's soccer team had a fist fight yesterday, maybe I don't need hockey! LOL..JK

yes it was silly.. guess off field these 2 have an issue, unfortunately brough it on field, but the parents really needed to back off and let the refs handle it, they only made it worse.

I know SW, I wish our player had walked away, but I'm not sure how I would react after taking a punch to the head.. gggrrrr both are out for the season now, and on the league "list"

  3. Way to go Tigers!!!!!

Redwings fan here! diehard! @ColtsFTW the Indiana Ice USHL team is a good one to get behind, young but a pretty good record for their short history. Both sides meet today and I think the revisions and overall proposal by the NHL looks good. The NHLPA is likely to take it. I can't see many reasons to not take it. Play ON!!!!!!!!!

    4. BrentMc11

      BrentMc11

Redwings and Blackhawks......Blackhawks used to be the 'major league team' for the Indianapolis Ice....and I spent a ton of time training in Detroit.

  5. Congrats to Peyton and the Broncos... so glad they snapped out of it and made a fantastic come back!

What does a Sheriff in a Western typically do? Keep everyone calm, never panic, & law done the law when he has to. Way to restore order, keep the peace, & reshuffle the AFC West Sheriff AKA Peyton! Even blowing tumbleweed doesn't defy Peyton. HA! HA! #18 is simply AWESOME!!!

  6. If the Broncos win tonight I'll have a full 6 picks right.. wow! the only team I'm happy with after games 6 are the Seahawks for beating the Pats! everyone else SLOPPY, even the Lions with their win, SLOPPY!!!!!

It does seem bizarre this year. Veteran teams continue to fall short & lose while young, upstart team's are winning. Very strange...Like blogger Jules said, it feels like a tectonic and titanic plates shift of the NFL’s elite teams right now.

Looks like two good series....Cards/Tigers...are my hopes. Have to feel for the Nationals....but then again shutting down the ace of the staff....was demoralizing to the DC fans, players, and manager Davy Johnson.

  8. RIP Mr Alex Karras. I never got to see you play as a Lion other than highlight reels, but I loved you in Blazing Saddles. God speed your rest.

I remember watching him play, and he was a monster on the Lions' defensive line. And, of course, his legendary role in Blazing Saddles is unforgettable. Rest In Peace, Alex.

  9. so many threads directed at rookies with expectations that they should suddenly be playing like pro bowl all stars! what???????

Yes, a rookie is still a rookie and eventually they all stumble and hit the wall their 1st year. Patience...Let's not get carried away here. I agree 100% MCF & Brent.

    3. MIColtsFan

      MIColtsFan

they're rookies and are doing their best to learn the system, and get used to NFL play and hits and I see posts with people taking shots at some of these guys and I just don't get it. Give the kids a break, let them develop.

  10. what a great weekend in sports! UofM huge win! My beloved Colts have a great win and a super fun game. I was giddy with joy after each of the 5 sacks on Rodgers and Powers interception. The fierceness of fthe edge opened up the middle and bam, defense shuts down the Packs! Offense settled down and headed for the end zone! Love it and it's good to see Reggie's perfect teeth gleaming in that huge grin! MVP

When things looked bleak did we bow our head in in dismay? Did we throw in the towel? Did we roll over & play dead? Bleep No! We stuck our head in the teeth of the lion and tamed the beast into a little kitty cat with a defiant roar of our own named Reggie Wayne. "To strive, to seek, to find, to annihilate, & never to yield!" The sleeping Blue Monster has now awoken. :D

  11. October is breat cancer awareness month. I have far too many friends on my prayer list battling this disease and I am adding Coach Pagano to my prayers as well. I am praying for additional ways to prevent, detect and hopefully cure any and all cancers.

I hear Ya MCF. It's disheartening, pathetic, and glaringly horrible to say the least. I'm disgusted with the NFL right now. What integrity does the NFL right now? None...Just ask the GB Packers right now or the NE Patriots. Oh wait, here comes the car full of clowns now. Be careful NFL. A Natl. Joke is no laughing matter. Save your dignity as a professional sport please...I beg you.

Luckily it is just badly sprained (maybe break would be better?) and the xray tech says to her "you get a lot of xrays, what'd ya do now?".. 1st name basis with the tech, I should send her some cookies! good grief! heading north for a weekend long soccer tourney! beautiful weather and fun ahead! Have a great weekend and GO COLTS

my 14 year olds new team. It's unfortunate they would not let them play in the elite division, they made them play U16 2nd division because they are "too young". I think they should of let them play elite after seeing this first game. It wasn't as bad as the score sounds though, they actually had to work hard for the shut out, but their defense was lacking.

    4. southwest1

      southwest1

Very Impressive MCF!!! Your girls didn't just take their competition out behind the woodshed. They knocked the woodshed down too. Just Kidding!!! It sounds like a well earned and well fought victory indeed. Congratulations to their entire team!!!

  20. Remembering AA flight 11, UA flight 175, AA flight 77, & UA flight 93 and those who died this tragic day in history 2001. Remembering the towers, the field, the pentagon. Both your Bears & Lions look Playoff bound this year to me MCF!!! :)

    4. MIColtsFan

      MIColtsFan

I hope for the Lions...they did not play that well, they have a lot to clean up. I think the 49ers and the Ravens look like forces to be reckoned with. The Bears, they should have a great season. I'm not a big fan of Cutler or Lovie, but still my #3..Broncos could steal this position though ;)

Of well, I guess we were all young once too I suppose right? I'm sure your girls will be just fine MCF. Funny Barry.

I've always had a soft spot for the Lions simply because I love their uniforms (and cats). :)

Other than that, they've never been easy to like though. This group is turning me off too.

    3. MIColtsFan

      MIColtsFan

you are all funny guys... I'm still a fan.. 30 NFL player arrests over summer, not all thugs reside in DTown...Berry was "released", shown the door and I appreciate how the org. dealt with that. Also looking forward to see if a hometown 2008 grad. will be on the field kicking for the Bills tonight! I just love football! And not every team can be as classy as the Colts :)

    4. southwest1

      southwest1

Absolutely, MCF root for your Lions. We all have more than 1 NFL team that we follow. I just hope keeps his cool in critical game situations this year. Yes, the Colts exemplify dignity, honor, & class certainly, but we don't exclusively corner the market on decorum either. :)
